Due to the inferior condition of local library reference service, an air of indifference about users, and the increase in Internet resources, cooperative reference service in domestic libraries tend to be stagnant. The increase in Internet resources was reconsidered, aside from traditional library reference service, based on question and answer service. It shed new light on the importance of indirect service, which is focused on reliable knowledge base construction. This study analyzed cooperative reference service, which is managed by the Japanese Diet library that pursued indirect service contrary to ours. Based on that, it suggested a new takeoff possibility for Korean cooperative reference service.

This research is to make clear the volunteer activity system through analysing activity of volunteers. Main suggestions are as below. In management system, integrated cooperating system, improvement of delivering system of relief goods and developing operating manual of volunteering management are discussed. In education system, specialized education for different disaster areas, field orientation education, and training managerial positions are suggested. In supporting system, improving NDMS(National Disaster Management System), computerized program for volunteer management, insurance for volunteers, issuing a confirmation of volunteering activity, securement of emergency communication system, budget for prevention and donation are also suggested.

The purpose of this paper is to suggest the implications of volunteering's task design and the volunteer's placement that make the motive-benefit matching from the functional perspective of motivation. For this study, we conducted a multi-regression analysis to examine the impact of the volunteer motivation on task satisfaction and retention will. Results showed that first, volunteers' most important motive for volunteering was social motive, followed by enhancement, value. Secondly, each motive influenced the task satisfaction and retention will of volunteers differentially. The practical implications of these findings were discussed.

The public library as a public institution, funded by the public, is accountable to provide community based services. Those services can be developed through identifying community needs and implementing proper planning process to satisfy the identified needs. Under budget pressure, public libraries have changed their emphasis from the provision of the standardized services to the establishment of specialized services to reflect the differing characteristics of the community and the community members each public library serves. This paper reviews the research in this area since 1970s and suggests guidelines for the enhancement of community based public library services.

The purpose of this study is to know the trends of research of reference service in Korea before 21th century from beginning. After analyzing of representative subject bibliographies , domestic research of this field can be devided into four chronical stages; the beginning stage in 1950’s, the changing stage in 1970’s, the developing stage in 1980’s and professional stage in 1990’s. And found out both domestic and internaional research seemed to have focused on the service theory, however there have been some differences in their lower subjects.

The purpose of this study is to examine the motivation of elderly people to participate in volunteer activities and to analyze the effect of participation motivation on satisfaction with volunteer activities of them. The 297 questionnaires which were collected from persons over 60 years old who were doing voluntary service activity in welfare center for the aged, Silver police in Goyang and Paju city. The frequency, factor and regression analysis were used for the research. The results are as follows: First, the motivations to participate in volunteer activities had four factors: self-realization, social activities, social responsibility, and personal achievements, and these factors had positive effect on satisfaction with volunteer activities. Second, the motivation to participation in volunteer activities and the degree of satisfaction with them were found to be different in accordance with age, education, income, religion and health.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the volunteer's job characteristics in university student on their volunteering satisfaction and continuance will. Based on Hackman and Oldham's theory of core job characteristics, this study analyzed 261 university students in Gangwon-do by survey. The results of this study are summarized as follows: The volunteering participation ratio of university student is 71.6%. volunteer's job characteristics, volunteering satisfaction and continuance will is showed lower level. And skill variety, task identity and feedback among Hackman and Oldham's 5 core job characteristics show positive influence on volunteering satisfaction, and skill variety, task indentity, task significance and feedback show positive influence on continuance will. As a result, volunteer's satisfaction and continuance will depended on the job characteristics. Therefore, to assure volunteer's satisfaction and continuance will, redesign for volunteer's job characteristics.

The purpose of this study is direction of the Information Society situations and problems of voluntary activities. In the United States of 50 percent Population have experiences of voluntary Activities in 1995. But Korea peoples had been experience of voluntary service activities not so much. In order to solve these problems and improve the voluntary service activities situation today that is information society, the followings are proposed here so that the voluntary service can be performed effectively. Through the schools, mass media, and meetings of various groups, a program should be offered widely to educate about voluntary service activities. This study is based on the volunteers management at community society with Data base information communication. The importance of social responsibility is growing, and as a result of social awareness, many universities and institutions are carrying out community service activities. Although the volunteer portal site has excellent performance and good accessibility, the overall service performance of a specific organization cannot be managed because of personal information. Almost community service managers of a organization manually manage their community service activities without the support of a community service management program. In this study, have been feature analysis of existing portal site for volunteer coordination, then a prototype was designed and developed as a model of social contribution management system so that universities and organizations can systematically support and manage the social service activities of members based on the questionnaire about social contribution management system.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the meaning and essence of nursing students' experience of handwashing education volunteer program. There were 10 students who participated in the handwashing education service, and data collection was conducted for two months from October to November 2021, and three focus groups were formed and interviewed. Data were analyzed by Colaizz's phenomenological research method. As a result of the study, 3 themes and 10 sub-themes were derived. The three themes were 'personal development', 'self-esteem as a pre-nursing nurse', and 'knowing the meaning of service'. Nursing students learned the meaning of service through handwashing education service, and it was found that they could experience their own inner maturity. Nursing students could see that it was a time to learn the true meaning of service through handwashing education volunteering. The results of this study provided an understanding of the educational service of nursing college students, which can be applied to the diversification of educational service programs.
