The aim of this study was to examine the metabolic adjustment of lactate dehydrogenase (EC 1.1.1.27, LDH) isozymes to a change in dissolved oxygen (DO) in bluegill (Lepomis macrochirus). After bluegills were adapted to a constant environment in an aquarium, the DO was changed to investigate the activity of LDH isozyme and the relative ratio of subunits A, B, and C for each tissue. When the DO was decreased from 18 ppm to 6 ppm, LDH in skeletal muscle, heart, and brain tissues recovered to the level of control activity within 12, 12, and 6 hr, respectively. LDH activity changed in accordance with a change in DO. The compensation was performed rapidly and is thought to be an important function of LDH in enabling bluegills to adapt to their environment. In bluegill heart, eye, and brain tissues, the relative ratio of subunit A increased and showed a tendency to recover similarly to the subunit ratio of control groups up to 12 hr. It is thought that the anaerobic metabolism using subunit A was increased in the initial stage when DO was changed. In addition, the results revealed that subunit C was more similar to subunit A than subunit B. In bluegills, subunits A and C of LDH seem to be evolutionarily similar. LDH isozymes, mainly containing subunits A and C, are likely responsible for the function of pyruvate reductase, which plays a role in making the bluegill adapt to a hypoxic environment through anaerobic metabolism.

The objective of the study was to find out whether the Super Bowl adverts with high Ad Meter scores had more advertising appeals related to U.S. culture in Hofstede's dimensions. The significance of the study lies in the analysis on U.S. consumer preferences on adverts in terms of culture under one of the most representative American sport event: Super Bowl. The study was based on a content analysis of top and bottom 10 Super Bowl adverts during a period of consecutive seven years 2005 through 2011. The top and bottom ten were grouped based on the Ad Meter scores by the USA Today. The number of adverts interpreted by two coders along with the author was 139. The coding results implies that adverts in the top 10 group carried more appeals connected to US culture in Hofstede dimensions, such as youth, untamed, and magic in uncertainty avoidance dimension. Meanwhile, such appeals as ornamental, vain, and status in high power distance dimension were mainly found in the bottom 10 adverts group. Grounded on the findings from the content analysis, links between the score levels and the presence of certain appeals may offer marketers a hint on what appeals they emphasize when producing adverts in a certain cultural bound, let alone Super Bowl adverts targeting TV viewers in the U. S. A.

A multi-view display is regarded as the most practical technology to provide a three-dimensional effect to a viewer because it can provide an appropriate viewpoint according to the observer's position. But, most multi-view displays with flat shapes have a disadvantage in that a viewer watches 3D images only within a limited front viewing angle. In this paper, we proposed a spherical display using a ball lens with spherical symmetry that provides perfect parallax by extending the viewing zone to 360 degrees. In the proposed system, each projection lens is designed to be packaged into a small modular array, and the module array is arranged in a spherical shape around a ball lens to provide vertical and horizontal parallax. Through the applied optical module, the image is formed in the center of the ball lens, and 3D contents are clearly imaged with the size of about 0.65 times the diameter of the ball lens when the viewer watches them within the viewing window. Therefore, the feasibility of a 360-degree full parallax display that overcomes the spherical aberration of a ball lens and provides a wide field of view is confirmed experimentally.

This study was conducted to identify the usage characteristics of the DMZ Punchbowl Trail (DPT) as a national forest trail (NFT) and to estimate its ripple effects on the local economy. The objective of this study is to provide policy implications for sustainable operational management. Out of the 500 questionnaires distributed, 215 respondents provided their complete travel itineraries and expenditures. The respondents, mainly aged 50 and above and residing in the Seoul Metropolitan Area, spend 3.5 hours of travel time to the DPT. Together with their families, the respondents typically spend approximately 4 hours for leisurely activities, primarily appreciation of scenic views and relaxation by visiting the "O-yubatgil." Furthermore, they extend their travels to other parts of Gangwon Province, where the DPT is situated. Within Gangwon Province, Yanggu County is the most visited destination. The respondents reported a notably higher average expenditure per visitor compared with the typical local walking tourists. Estimates show that the DPT generates an annual average of KRW 2.1 billion in direct expenditure (based on an average of 10,000 visitors for over five years), KRW 2.8 billion in production, and KRW 1.3 billion in added value, and it has created 40 jobs in Gangwon Province. The results of this study lies in empirically determining the specific economic scale and ripple effects of DPT as an NFT in the major sector, which occupies a significant portion of the Gangwon Province's local economy. The results will be instrumental in validating NFT policies and informing policy making for sustainable forest utilization.

본 논문은 병렬 프로그램의 성능 분석을 위한 성능 감시기에 가시화층에 일반화된 뷰를 설계하고 구현하였다. 대부분의 성능 감시기는 하드웨어에 의존적인 특성화에 뷰를 제공함으로서 이식성이나 확장성이 부족하다. 일반화된 뷰를 제공하는 성능 감시기는 데이터 필터층에서 필터링된 성능 분석 데이터를 이용하여 프로그래머가 정의한 데이터의 범위에 따라 뷰를 스스로 확장할 수 있다. 또한 CallBack기능을 제공하여 관심 있는 데이터를 쉽게 볼 수 있다. 프로그래머는 성능 감시기의 일반화된 뷰를 이용하여 다양한 형태의 성능 분석 결과를 볼 수 있다.

이 논문에서는 이동하는 파를 해로 갖는 편미분 방정식의 해를 찾는 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 특히 이 해가 움직이는 근원을 가질 경우에 앞쪽으로 이동하는 해가 존재하는지의 여부를 파악하는데 어떻게 증명할 것인지를 보였다. 앞쪽으로 이동하는 해를 갖는 경우는 반응-확산 방정식에서 그 해를 찾아 볼 수 있으며, 움직이는 근원을 가진 경우에 앞쪽으로 진행되는 해를 갖는 경우는 화학 공정의 모델등에서 그 해를 찾아 볼 수 있는데 이 문제를 중심으로 어떻게 해의 존재 여부를 증명할 수 있는지를 보였다.

현재 우리나라 공업력은 급속도로 발전하고 있다. 후진국으로서 조속한 기일내에 공업이 발전하 여 가고 있는 것은 오로지 공업교육에 이바지함이 크다고 볼 수 있다. 한때 일부 인사들은 우골 대학이나 실업자양성소라고 대학을 혹평한 때도 있었으나 현재 우리나라 공업발전이 다후진국에 비하여 급속도로 발전되어가고 있는 것은 대학졸업자의 수가 많은 것이 원인이라고 볼 수 있을 것 같다. 특히 자원이 없는 우리나라로서는 장래를 생각하여 공업입국의 적합한 평책을 세워야 할 것이며, 국제적 무역수지의 문제가 발생할 것으로 보아 공업교욱문제를 생각안 할 수 없을 것이다. 이하 주로 기계설계를 담당하고 있는 한 사람으로서 이 분야에 초점을 들어 필자의 소감 을 쓰기로 한다.

최근 상호 결합된 chaotic 진동자들 간의 동기화의 문제는 그 시스템이 가지는 여러 가지 응용성 때문에 여러 과학 분야와 기술 분야 예를 들면 동력학, 레이져 동력학, 전자회로, 화학반응, 생물학적인 시스템 등에서 폭넓게 연구되어지고 있다. 더욱이 작은 파라미터의 차이를 제외하고 거의 유사한 chaotic 진동자들간의 상호작용에서 찾아 볼 수 있는 위상 동기화 현상은 뇌세포 조직과 같은 생물학적인 시스템들 사이에 흔히 찾아 볼 수 있는 기본적인 현상이다. (중략)

효소관련 각종 특허를 국가별, 산업적 응용면, 또는 효소기술상으로 분류하여 통계적으로 분석을 해 봄으로써 여러가지 현상을 발견 내지 추론해 볼 수 있다. 첫째, 연도별, 국가별 출원현황 및 경향을 알 수 있으며 둘째, 이러한 특허출원들이 산업적으로 어떤 분야에 적용 내지 적용가능한 지를 파악할 수 있고 셋째, 기술적으로도 어누 부문에 치중 내지 편중되어 출원이 이루어지고 있는 지를 알 수 있다. 그리고 보다 중요한 것은 이러한 여러 측면을 동시에 고찰해 봄으로써 효소특허출원 경향에 관한 통찰력의 배양을 통해 연구자가 연구개발의 흐름을 파악해 볼 수 있다는 것이다.

'전 국민의 1인 사회복지사 자격증 시대' 사회복지사 자격증취득과 관련된 각종 스팸메일과 현 자격취득 과정을 고려해 볼 때 아마 이러한 시대가 곧 다가오지 않을까 싶다. 사회보지사의 역할이 가중되는 사회적 흐름상에서 이러한 관심은 긍정적이나, 무분별하게 검증 없는 과정을 통해 쉽게 사회복지사라는 꼬리를 달고 사회 속으로 내던져지고 있다. 자칭 '전문가'로서 인식되어 지기를 바라는 우리 사회복지계의 노력은 점점 무색해지고, 어쩌면 Imitation Social Worker가 우리의 자리를 점점 더 조여 들어 올 수도 있을 것이다. 물론 이런 사회보지사 자격제도의 허점은 거슬러 올라 미흡한 사회복지사업법에서 찾아 볼 수 있고, 하루빨리 법 개정을 시행해야하는 중요한 과제를 안고 있다.
