복합곡면에서의 볼랜딩 곡면생성에 관한 연구

  • 볼랜딩 하는 것은 모든제품의 다양한 형상을 얻어내는데 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 여기에서는 볼랜딩하는 방법에 있어서 형상의 변화가 쉽고 간결하게 할 수 있는 새로운 방법으로서 교차곡선을 구한 후 교차곡선을 따라가며 꼬이지 않는 평면을 설정하여 작업자에 의하여 주어지는 반경과 조정점의 위치를 조정하는 방법으로 볼랜딩하는 방법을 제시한다. 본 논문에서는 자유곡면과 자유곡면의 볼렌딩,자유곡면과 다면체곡면의 볼랜딩하는 방법을 제시한다.

  • Globally, more super-tall buildings tend to be constructed competitively in the social and economic foundations. In the circumstance, this study is aimed at establishing a paradigm of super-tall buildings in terms of their various forms. Symbolizing a city or state, super-tall buildings not only are used as resources of tourism, but play an important role as a characteristic landmark. Therefore, it is necessary to find a curved form for a futuristic perspective. The purpose of this study is to infer the convergence relativity of curved forms among complex and diverse unstructured construction forms. This study used as subjects 50 super-tall buildings among the ranking data selected Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) in order for the basis of constructability related to actual design, rather than the way of recognizing a formative type, in the classification of curved forms into regularized surfaces, developable surfaces, and double-curved surfaces. The results of this study are presented as follows. This classification can be used as a fundamental material which is reasonably involved in the design process pursuing diverse curved surfaces in terms of design of tall buildings.

A numerical study on feasibility of the circled fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) panel for a tunnel lining structure (터널 라이닝 구조체로서 곡면 섬유강화 복합재료의 적용성 검토를 위한 수치해석적 연구)

  • Utilization of the fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) material has been enlarged as a substitution material to the general construction materials having certain long-term problems such as corrosion, etc. However, it could be difficult to apply the FRP material, which has a linear shape generally, to an arch-shaped tunnel structure. Therefore, an attempt has been made in this study to develop a device to form a designed cross section of FRP material by pulling out with a curvature. A sample of the circled FRP product was successfully produced and then the sample has been tested to identify its physical characteristics. Then, intensive feasibility studies on the circled FRP panel to be used for a tunnel lining structure have been carried out by numerical analyses. As a result, it appears that the new circled FRP-concrete composite panel has a high capability to be used for a tunnel lining material without any structural problem.

  • Theoretical foundation and algorithms are presented of a new surface modeling and pre-processing system for the three-dimensional structures. The modeling method is based on the boundary representation scheme and composed of two hierarchical model structures: curve-network and surface models. The concept of modeling curve as a union of links is introduced to facilitate surface modeling via various transfinite mapping techniques or Coons Patches. Efficiency and novel aspects of the present method are discussed. Finite element mesh genceration and application procedures will be reported in a later paper.

Blending Surface with Parameter Control in Compound Surface (복합 곡면에서 매개변수 조정에 의한 블렌딩곡면 생성)

  • For products of various shapes, compound surfaces are used. Blending surfaces are essential to the products of the compound surfaces. In this paper a method of making shape of blending surface flexible with parameter control is discussed. The parameter has quantitative control of shape of the blend. The blending surface is applied to NURBS and simple primitives in solid model. Intersection curves of surfaces is used to provide the blend with generality. Rail curve are found with the intersection curves. The blend is generated by rail curves and parameter control. Also, In strict constraint condition, blending surface with flexible shapes is discussed, keeping ;${GC}^1$ and ;${GC}^2$ continuity between free-formed surfaces and solids. Joining blending ,bridge blending and blending surface at corner are generated.

  • In this paper, laser ultrasonic rotation scanning method was proposed to inspect and visualize defects in corner section of curved composite structure. L-shaped composite specimen with defects in its corner section were inspected using laser ultrasonic rotation scanning method. L-shaped specimens had artificial defects at three different depths to simulate delamination damage. All artificial defects were detected clearly in different time-of-flight according to their depths. Inspection result showed that the proposed method is suitable to inspect round corner section of curved composite structure without any special tools.

  • 본 논문에서는 복합형상의 금형을 가공하기 위하여 필요한 공구와 가공경로를 자동으로 생성해 주는 자동공정계획(CAPP)방법을 제시한다. 금형곡면은 일반적으로 복잡한 형상의 자유곡면들의 조합으로 이루어 지는데 육면체 형상의 소재로부터 원하는 금형곡면을 가공하는데는 수십시간의 기계가공 시간이 소요되며 또한 NC Code를 준비하는데도 같은정도의 시간이 소요된다. 금형곡면의 NC가공에 있어서 또다른 어려움은 공구의 과부하와 공구간섭이 빈번하게 발생할 수 있다는 점이다. 제안하는 자동공정계획방법은 전처리, 공정계획, 공구경로 생성의 3단계로 구성된다. 자동공정계획시스템의 입력정보는 1) 생성될 곡면형상 2) 가공할 소재형상 3) 가공공구 셀(드릴, 볼 엔드밀, 플렛 엔드밀), 절삭성 데이타등이다. 전처리 단계에서는 곡면모델러로부터 생성된 입력 형상을 Z-map이라 부르는 자료구조로 변환한다. 두번째 단계에서는 절삭 가공작업의 순서가 사용되는 공구와 함께 후방순환법에 의하여 결정된다. 그리고 실제 가공될 NC공구경로가 마지막 세번째 단계에서 생성된다.

Design and manufacturing technique for a curved composite actuator, LIPCA with improved actuation force and displacement (향상된 작동력 및 변형량을 갖는 곡면형 복합재 작동기(LIPCA) 설계 및 제조기법)

  • 본 논문에서는 열팽창계수(CTE)가 거의 없는 카본게폭시, PZT 세라믹 박판, 그리고 열팽창계수가 큰 글래스/에폭시 층으로 이루어진 곡면형 복합재료 작동기(LIPCA)의 설계, 제작 및 성능실험에 대한 연구성과를 제시하고 있다. LIPCA의 른 요점은 기존 THUNDER의 성능을 유지하면서 이를 경량화 하기 위하여 THUNDER의 금속 층을 상대적으로 가벼운 섬유 강화 복합재료로 대체하는 것이다. 이러한 경량화 작업으로 LIPCA는 기존 THUNDER 보다 약 30~40% 정도의 무게를 감소시킬 수 있으며, 복합재료의 특성에 따라 설계의 유연성을 가질 수 있는 장점이 있다. 또한, 에폭시 수지를 사용함으로써 접착제 없이 평판 몰드에서 오토클레이브에서 177$^{\circ}C$로 경화되어, 탈형된 후 충분한 곡률을 형성하였다. 작동 성능 실험에서, LIPCA는 기존 THUNDER보다 작동변위가 향상됨을 보였다.

A quality improvement scheme of magnified image using effectively the various curved surface characteristics of Image (영상의 다양한 곡면 특성을 효과적으로 활용한 확대 영상의 화질 개선 기법)

  • In this paper, a quality improvement scheme is proposed for magnified image using the various curved surface characteristics of image. After testing horizontal and vertical directional surface characteristics of source image, interpolation value is calculated to have the surface characteristics such as simple convex surface, simple concave surface, and compound surface. The calculated interpolation value become the value of the interpolated pixel of magnified image. The calculated interpolation value is closer to the pixel value of real image. So, the quality of the magnified image is improved. The PSNR value of the magnified image using the proposed scheme is larger than the PSNR values of the magnified image using the existing techniques.
