This study considers that the establishment of a public library within multi-use complex is one of the most effective ways to expand infrastructure of public libraries in Korea. A survey on the complexation rates of public libraries in Seoul was made through on-the-spot visits and telephone interviews. It turned out that out of all 112 public libraries in Seoul, 55 of them are in multi complex buildings. In order to efficiently establish public libraries to multi-use complex, absolute consideration on the size, location, and space should be made. Moreover, if necessary, additional complexation with commercial facilities, schools, and local government buildings should be made.

This study examines the functionality and landscape design specifics of the outdoor space of representative commercial multi-complexes in Korea in order to overview the design trends of outdoor landscaping trends. Through surveying the composition of outdoor spaces along with their relation to the surrounding landscape, open spaces, and the neighboring communities, this paper identified the change in trends regarding the characteristics of outdoor landscape planning and acknowledged the enhanced public value of outdoor space. This study asserts that the characteristics of outdoor spaces can best be understood by examining the ways in which the outdoor space relates to adjoining commercial multi-complexes and the surrounding landscape. Focusing on the relationships that outdoor space establishes, commercial multi-complexes can be categorized as follows: in/outdoor separated type, in/outdoor semi-open type, surrounding landscape-projected type, and surrounding landscape-combined type. By studying the landscape design specifics of the outdoor space of representative cases of each type, the following has been concluded: First, the amount of outdoor space has expanded in terms of importance and function while serving to assist in various activities and participatory experiences, and no longer merely serves as a backdrop of commercial facilities. Second, with the strengthened connectivity between in/outdoor spaces, the elements of outdoor surroundings are more actively introduced indoors to improve amenities. Through directly connecting certain indoor program spaces with outdoor spaces, commercial multi-complexes tend to provide richer combined experiences. Third, with the expansion of outdoor space functionality, commercial multi-complexes are increasingly recognized as a quasi-public space, making good example of liminal space. In light of the recent case of development plans linked with public open spaces in suburban settings, commercial landscape design shows the possibility of creating an open space that can function as a center for local culture and green networks in the community.

The aims of this study are to present the basic data of a school facilities complex and to analyze the necessity of a school facilities complex, school facilities characteristics and program characteristics. In the study, there can be found an analysis of the present conditions of the school facilities complex by literature research and the analysis of school facilities characteristics and program characteristics by case study. The results of this study are as follows: First, the elementary school facilities are mixed with the gym, swimming pool, culture center and convenient facility(parking lot). Second, the school facilities complex is not connected with the number of elementary school students. As the number of elementary school students decrease, it is possible to apply the generated surplus space of the school facilities to the community facility. Third, the school facilities complex is not connected to the reliance ratio of local finance. It is necessary for the central government to provide active financial and to build a financial support model. Fourth, most of the time, the entrance of the facility complex is divided from the entrance of the school facility. Fifth, the programs of many school facility complexes are composed of swimming and physical fitness programs.

As ICT-convergence deploying projects in horticulture sector has been promoted, the concerning technology development and market has recently been enlarged. In particular, the domestic and overseas products for a variety of horticulture complex environmental control equipments has been produced and sold, but it can be seen that there is no the compatibility among the products and is differences in performance. There is the need to provide a standard of the specifications and installation criteria for domestic products in order to promote ICT convergence deploying projects in the horticulture field and provide convenience to the consumers through the compatibility among products under this circumstances. In this paper, we suggest the standardization items which our country can lead and the directions for future standardization by analyzing the introducing situation and the trend of Technology and standardization for complex environmental control system in domestic horticulture field.

본 연구는 다중이 이용하는 복합문화센터에서 피난설비 및 피난동선의 적합성 여부와 소방시설의 적정 유지관리방법에 관하여 연구하였다. 다중이 이용하는 복합문화센터와 같은 시설에서 화재나 비상시에 피난기구 및 피난동선의 적정성 여부와 소화설비의 적정한 설치 및 유지관리 실태를 파악하고자 하였고, 조사 결과 피난기구 및 피난동선의 구조적 문제 때문에 화재가 발생하면 많은 사람이 일시에 몰려들 경우 노약자와 어린이는 부상의 위험성이 높았고, 소방시설의 유지관리 시스템은 소방안전관리자의 전문성과 적정 유지관리시스템이 확보되지 않았으며 지하층에서 지상으로 완전 피난에 여러 가지 문제가 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to have a guideline for mixed-use between school buildings and the community facilities as one of the suggestions to satisfy the needs of the society and to overcome the limitations of the supply of regional facilities. Main contents of this study are as a follow : 1) Arrangement of concept for mixed-use facilities, 2) Classification of community facilities for school buildings. 3) Distribution of school buildings in Nowon-Gu 4) Distribution of community facilities in Nowon-Gu 5) A proposal of mixed-use guide line between school buildings and public office.

Urban infrastructure is a core of urban growth management which concerns with location, time and costs of development. Despite an inevitable link between development density and infrastructure capacity in urban areas, little study have been performed. For this reason, development activities are undergone without any clear evidence or analysis. The main purposes of this paper are to build subject maps of urban infrastructure capacity which illustrate the level of education service and road capacity, and to give reference standard for development decision at given location. For these purposes, the case study of the high-rise multi-purpose buildings in Daegu metropolitan city is performed. The main findings are follows. First, road ratio is high in the CBD and its surrounding areas as well as rural area, and low in areas of manufacturing, parks and military use. Second, educational facility, represented by the number of student per classroom of elementary school, is fairly abundant across the city, especially in the CBD and rural areas. Third, the high-rise multi-purpose buildings have been built in population-losing infrastructure-abundant areas, in general. Based on these results, this study concludes that the high-rise multi-purpose buildings may induce population-inflow and have low possibility to bring about overly dense developments.

본 방배동 주거복합빌딩 신축공사는 서초구 방배본동에 위치하고 있으며 이곳에서는 아파트 4개동 222세대와 오피스텔 61세대의 주거 및 부대시설로는 지하 주민생활시설, 근린생활시설이 신축되며 옥외 대지부분은 중앙광장과 공개공지, 분수대 설치 등으로 입주민뿐 아니라 지역주민과의 휴게공간으로 제공된다. 또한 지상25층 높이 약81M로서 이수교차로변에 위치하여 4통 발달의 교통요지에서 LANDMARK적인 건물로 자리잡게 될 것이다.(중략)

동대구역 복합환승센터는 교통과 상업시설이 복합 개발되는 국내 첫 프로젝트로서 KTX, 도시철도, 고속 시외버스 등 모든 대중교통을 한곳에서 갈아탈 수 있는 원스톱 환승체계 구축은 물론 쇼핑, 문화, 컨벤션, 테마파크 등 복합문화 시설이 융합된 대구 경북지역의 랜드마크다. 12월 15일 동대구역 신세계백화점 오픈과 함께 준공 예정인 동대구역 복합환승센터는 동남권의 신교통 중심지이자 지역사회 활성화 등 새로운 미래를 여는 기폭제라는 의미에서 대구 시민뿐만 아니라 전국에서도 관심을 모으고 있다. 이 복합환승센터가 완공되면 직접고용 6천여명에 간접고용 포함 1만8천여개의 일자리 창출에 기여할 것으로 전망돼 대구시 전체 경제에 미치는 영향은 생산유발효과 2조4천억원, 부가가치 유발효과 4조2천억원에 달할 것으로 기대된다. 150여개의 백화점과 이마트의 풍부한 시공 노하우로 미래를 선도하는 신세계건설이 종합시공을, 쾌적한 환경 조성으로 삶의 질 향상에 적극 앞장서는 (주)우진아이엔에스(대표 홍평우 손광근)가 주요 기계설비를 시공하고 있다. 본지는 백화점 오픈 및 복합환승센터 준공을 위해 마무리작업에 박차를 가하고 있는 신세계건설 문길남 상무(현장소장)와 이종국 기계설비 부장, (주)우진아이엔에스 전명규 현장소장을 만났다.
