Extended Unmixing-Mixing Scheme for Prediction of 3D Behavior of Porous Composites (다공성 복합재료의 삼차원 거동 예측을 위한 분리-혼합 기법의 확장)

  • Pyrolysis and surface recession of charring composites are progressed primarily in the thickness direction. The unmixing-mixing scheme is applied to describe the in-plane and through-thickness behaviors of porous composites. The extended unmixing-mixing equations are based on transverse isotropy of unidirectionally fiber-reinforced composites. The strain components of gas pressure in pores, thermal expansion, and chemical shrinkage are included in the constitutive model. By analyzing micromechanical representative volume elements of porous composites, the validity of the derived equations are examined.

Corner Inspection of Autoclave-cured L-shaped Composite Structure using Pulse-echo Rotation Scanning Scheme based on Laser Ultrasonic (레이저 초음파 기반 반사식 회전 검사 기법을 이용한 오토클레이브 가공 L 형 복합재 구조물의 모서리 검사)

  • In this paper, laser ultrasonic rotation scanning method was proposed to inspect and visualize defects in corner section of curved composite structure. L-shaped composite specimen with defects in its corner section were inspected using laser ultrasonic rotation scanning method. L-shaped specimens had artificial defects at three different depths to simulate delamination damage. All artificial defects were detected clearly in different time-of-flight according to their depths. Inspection result showed that the proposed method is suitable to inspect round corner section of curved composite structure without any special tools.

  • The studies on the non-destructive testing methods of the composite materials are very important for improving their reliability and safety. AE(Acoustic Emission) can evaluate the defects by detecting the emitting strain energy when elastic waves are generated by the generation and growth of a crack, plastic deformation, fiber breakage, matrix cleavage or delamination. In this paper, the AE signals of the filament wound composite cylinder and sandwich cylinder during the pressure test were measured and analyzed. The signal characteristics of PVDF sensors were measured, and an AE signal analyzer which had the band-pass filter and L-C resonance filter were designed and fabricated. Also, the crack detection capability of the fabricated AE signal analyzer wes evaluated during the pressure tests of the filament wound composite cylinder and the sandwich cylinder.

  • A complex object model is one of the value based data model which extends the existing relational data model for supporting complex structured data. This paper studies a method for designing algebra for the complex object model. For this some others' algebra supporting complex objects are compared and analysed in terms of the applicability of a algebraic optimization strategics. The complex object algebra is designed, based on four principles, simple and clear definitions, no restriction on input data, single specification system. The central nature of this paper is to keep the basis of algebraic optimization method through simplicity, safety and the applicability of algebraic optimization strategy. Finally, it shown that the designed algebra has the equivalent or enhanced expressability with other's algebra.

  • One of the serious problems that make the flaw identification in a multi-layered thick composite panel more difficult is the interferenceeffect of the upper layer. To take care of such a problem, here we propose an image enhancement approach that can get rid of such an interference effect to ultrasonic C-scan images by a normalization of the acquired signals by a reference signals, and demonstrate its performance in the experiments. Specifically, three specimens with artificial flaws are prepared and ultrasonic C-scan images are acquired experimentally to eliminate the undesired interference effect. Cleat successes are observed in the present study demonstrating the high potential of the proposed algorithm as a practical image enhancement tool in many practical situations.

A Study on Optimum Design Analysis of Bolt Locations for Metal Joint Parts of Railway Composite Bogie Frames using Sub-modeling Method (서브모델링 기법을 이용한 철도차량 복합재 대차프레임의 금속재 체결부 볼트 위치 최적화 해석 연구)

  • This paper describes the optimum design of bolt locations for metal joint parts of railway bogie frame made of glass fiber/epoxy 4-harness satin woven laminate composite and PVC foam core. The optimum design analysis was done by sub-problem approximation method using Ansys Parameter Design Language(APDL). The sub-modeling method was introduced to conduct the detailed recalculation for the only target parts and reduce calculating time. The structural analysis for composite bogie frame was performed according to JIS E 4207. The results showed that the optimum design analysis using sub-modeling method was able to obtain faster and more precise results than that of the entire model by the control of mesh size for the target parts, and the maximum Von-Mises stress has been reduced in comparison with its original dimensions due to the optimum design of bolt locations.

  • The use of composites is increasing for lightweight aerospace structures. Among these structures, the ring frame and the parts of the projectile body are mainly made of a fiber reinforced composite material which is less susceptible such as delamination to structural damage. As the use of fiber reinforced composites increases, interest in modeling efficient methods of stiffness and strength is increasing. This paper predict the mechanical strength according to the repeating unit cell(RUC) of the 2-D triaxial braided composites of fiber reinforced composites. Yarn slice definition, incremental approach and stiffness reduction model were used as strength prediction. Finally, the results of strength prediction are verified by comparing with experimental data of 2-D triaxial braided composites specimens.

  • 본 연구는 자체재질로 복합재 적용한 경우를 기존의 금속구조 차체와 25년 운행기간을 기준으로 환경영향을 비교평가하였다. 본 연구는 알루미늄, 스틸, 하이브리드 복합재, 전체 복합재 인 종 4종의 자체를 고려하였다 네가지 차체 시나리오에 대해 원자재 생산, 차체 제작, 25년 사용 단계, 폐기까지의 환경영향에 대해 LCA 기법을 사용하여 평가하였다. 모든 시나리오 경우, 사용단계가 환경영향 카테고리를 좌우했다. 전제 복합재 시나리오가 매립 또는 소각에 대한 가장 낮은 영향을 주었다. 복합재 차체는 금속자제와 비교해 환경영향 측면에서 30$\sim$50 % 개선효과를 보였다.

  • 복합명사의 한 구조는 구성 명사간의 수식관계의 집합이라고 본다. 한 복합명사에 대하여 가능한 여러 구조 중에서 올바른 구조를 알아 내는 것이 본 논문의 목표이다. 이를 위하여 우리는 최근에 유행하는 통계 기반 분석 기법을 이용한다. 먼저 우리의 복합 명사 분석 문제에 알맞은 통계 모델을 개발하였다. 이 모델을 이용하면 분석하려는 복합명사의 가능한 분석 구조마다 확률 값을 얻게 된다. 그 다음 가능한 구조들 중에서 가장 확률값이 큰 구조를 복합명사의 구조로 선택한다. 통계 기반 기법에서 항상 문제가 되는 것이 데이터 부족문제이다. 우리는 이를 해결하기 위해 개념적 계층구조의 하나인 워드넷(WordNet)을 이용한다.

  • 형태소 분석(Morphological Analysis)과 같은 언어학적 처리에 의존하는 기존의 한국어 문헌에 대한 자동색인 기법들은 품사의 애매모호함이나 복합명사의 처리 등으로 부담(overhead)이 크다. 또한 불용어 처리에 사용되는 불용어 리스트가 대상 문헌의 주제 분야별로 따로 구축되어야 하며 그 크기가 방대하다는 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 각 문헌의 텍스트에 대해 복합명사 처리나 애매모호함에 대한 엄격한 분석을 수행하지 않는 간단한 형태의 형태소 분석을 수행하여 단순명사들을 추출한다. 그런 후 이들 단순명사들을 이용하여 유한 오토마타(Finite Automata)를 구성하고, 구성된 유한 오토마타와 각 명사의 단어빈도(Term Frequency)에 의해 각 색인어 후보들의 중요도를 계산하는 자동색인 기법을 제안한다. 그 결과 품사의 애매모호함에 대한 처리나 복합명사의 처리에따른 부담을 줄일 수 있었으며, 선정된 색인어들과 수작업으로 선정한 색인어들의 비교 실험에 의해 제안한 자동색인 기법의 성능을 검증하였다.
