Buckling oad and Post-buckling Behavior of Tapered Column with Constant Volume and Both Clamped Ends (일정체적 양단고정 변단면 기둥의 좌굴하중 및 후좌굴 거동)

  • 이 논문은 일정체적을 갖는 양단고정 변단면 기둥의 좌굴하중 및 후좌굴 거동에 관한 연구이다. 기둥의 변단면으로는 직선형, 포물선형, 정현의 선형을 갖는세 가지 변단면을 채택하였다. Bernoulli-Euler 보 이론을 이용하여 압축하중이 작용하여 좌굴된 기둥이 정확탄성곡선을 지배하는 미분방정식을 유도하였다. 유도된 미분방정식을 Runge-Kutta 법과 REgula-Falsi법을 이용하여 수치해석하였다. 수치해석의 결과로 좌굴하중, 좌굴기둥의 평형경로 및 정확탄성곡선을 산출하였다. 또한 좌굴하중-단면비 곡선으로부터 최강기둥의 좌굴하중과 단면비를 산출하였다.

  • One of the most influential elements is the moment resisting beam-to-column connection vis-a-vis the behavior and cost of multistory steel building frames. Majority of these connections are column flange connections attached to beam frames. This is called strong-axis connection. Another type of moment resisting connection commonly found in building frames is the web axis connection. In this type of connection, the beams are attached to the plane of the column web perpendicularly. It is called the weak-axis beam. and it tends to bend the column at its weak axis. In this study, some of the fundamental behaviors of beam-to-column connections were examined by changing the connection details as weil as comparing them with previous connection details. This study sought to develop the details in the beam-to-column connection in the weak axis for middle- and low-rise steel construction systems.

  • This paper investigates the design equations and the strength behavior of the diaphragm for steel box beams and circular-column connections. The strength of the connection is decided by the strength of the diaphragm and the strength of the beam and the column, because the connection diaphragm supports the concentration forces from the box beam's lower flange. In previous researches, however, the calculation procedure of the diaphragm stress from the indeterminate curved-beam model is to complicated to apply in process of the equation. Moreover, no reasonable design has yet ben made because the diaphragm's effect on the strength of the connection has not ben considered. Therefore, through nonlinear FEM analysis of the connection diaphragm, this study examines the strength behavior of a connection with diaphragm details. In addition, a great difference is confirmed between the theoretical and analytic behaviors. Fi naly, considering the strength of the connection and the rigidity capacity of the diaphragm, the diaphragm design method is proposed.

  • A moment connection of H beam-to-rectangular tube column with external stiffeners was proposed. A formula to predict the ultimate strength of the connection was derived based on the yield line mechanism. Experimental investigation was performed to determine the applicability of the connection type and the strength formula. The ultimate strengths computed by the formula agreed well with the experimental values.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the structural behavior of concrete-filled steel tubular column-H beam connections with exterior stiffeners. As a preliminary test, simple tensile test on the column to H-beam flange connections stiffened were conducted The paramaters of tensile test are the thickness(T=9, 12, 15m) and the width(W=50, 75, 100, 150mm) of exterior stiffeners. The simple tensile test were conducted to 7 kinds of specimens. Estimating the load, displacement, and strain from each kind, results of simple tensile test were compared with results of second test. On the basis of simple tensile test, test on the column to H-km connections stiffened with the sames under monotonic and cyclic load were conducted. Specimens of 5 for the second experiment were made. In analysis, comparing each strengthes and stiffnesses we estimated deformation capacity. Comparing and estimating each yielding strength ratios and maxium-strength ratios on the basis of yield line theory, new strength formula of beam-to-column connections was suggested.

The simple tensile test were conducted to 5 kinds of specimens. Estimating the load. displacement and strain for specimens, the result of tensile test were compared with the results of main test. On the basis of simple tensile test, tests are conducted to montonic and cyclic loading column to H-beam connections with the same diameters of rebars. Specimens of 5 are made for monotonic and cyclic loading test. In analysis, estimating the yielding strength and maximum strength of specimens on the basis of yield line theory, strength formula of beam-to column connections with concrete-filled steel tubular column was suggested.

The first, we made experiment on the Column to H-beam flange connections stiffened with simple tensile loading. The paramaters of tensile experiment are the area of each plates. The simple tensile experiment is conducted to 5 kinds of specimens. Eestimating the load, displacement, and strain from each kind, we compared them with results of second experiment. The second, we made experiment on the Column to H-beam connections stiffened with the sames under monotonic and cyclic load. we made specimens of 5 for the second experiment. In analysis, comparing each strengthes and stiffnesses we estimated deformation capacity. Comparing and estimating each yielding strength ratios and maxium-strength ratios on the basis of Yield line theory, we suggested new Strength Formula of Beam-to-Column Connections.

  • This paper is concerned with a theoretical study on the local load-carrying capacities of Concrete-Filled Circular Tubular(CFCT) column to H-beam connections by yield line theory. In this paper, the three cases which are assumed the yield line are involved. The first model is a simplified yield line model. The second model is modified by x and kx factors. The last one is a Morita's model. The local load-carrying capacities of CFCT column to H-beam connections has been studied both experimentally and theoretically using the yield line theory. The purpose of this paper is to suggest the basic data for developing the non-diaphragm connection.

  • 본 논문에서는 단순지지된 일정체적의 정다각형 단면을 갖는 변단면 기둥의 정확탄성곡선(elastica)을 산출할 수 있는 수치해석법을 개발하였다. 정확탄성곡선의 미분방정식은 Bernoulli-Euler 보 이론으로 유도하였고, 미분방정식의 수치적분은 Runge-Kutta method를 이용하였다. 미분방정식의 고유치인 지점의 단면회전각은 Regula-Falsi method를 이용하여 계산하였다. 변단면의 단면 깊이의 변화식으로는 직선식, 포물선식 및 정현식의 3가지 함수식을 채택하였다. 또한 유도된 미분방정식을 이용하여 대상기둥의 좌굴하중을 산출하고 이로부터 최강기둥의 단면비와 좌굴하중을 결정하였다.

  • This study is a series of experimental investigations of the buckling strengths of eccentrically compressed, cold-formed, stainless-steel, circular, hollow-section beam columns. The principal parameters that were used in this study were the slenderness ratios (Lk/r = 30, 50, 70) and the magnitude of eccentricity e(one way: 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100mm: the other way: 0, 12.5, 25, 37.5, and 50mm) on the asymmetrical end-moment of a double curvature. The objectives of the study were to obtain the maximum loads through an experiment and to compare the experimental behaviors with the analysis results. The ultimate buckling strength of the square section members were evaluated using a numerical method, in accordance with the bending moment-axial force(M-P) interaction curves. The behavior of each specimen was displayed in the form of the strength-displacement and moment-angle(M-$\theta$) relationship.
