Development of DC-DC Converter for Arc Welding Machines using A Novel Half Bridge Soft Switching PWM Inverter (새로운 하프 브리지 소프트 스위칭 PWM 인버터를 이용한 용접기용 DC-DC 컨버터의 개발)

  • This paper presents a new full-bridge soft switching PWM DC-DC converter circuit topology that adding two switcher, two lossless snubber quasi-resonance capacity, two diode to power source for general welding machine. This half bridge soft switching Is low voltage hight current output that first coil current is smaller than second coil current in high frequency transformer can be obtained with decreasing path loss in conventional DC bus line switcher. As it operate ZCS/ZVS in full range, high frequency, high efficiency and high output are implemented at low voltage and high DC current switching power supplies. All of this items are got from simulation and the result of experiment. If make up for the weak points of this proposed circuit, it will be used more easily for next generation TIG, MIG and MAG type of arc-welding machine.

ZVS Flyback Converter Using a Auxiliary Circuit (보조회로를 이용한 영전압 스위칭 플라이백 컨버터)

  • A topology decreased switching loss and voltage stress by zero voltage switching is presented in this paper. Generally, Switching mode converting productes voltage stress and power losses due to excessive voltage and current. which affect to performance of power supply and reduce overall efficiency of equipments. Virtually, In flyback converter, transient peak voltage and current at switcher are generated by parasitic elements. To solve these problems, present ZVS flyback converter topology applied a auxiliary circuit. Incorporation of auxiliary circuit into a conventional flyback topology serves to reduce power losses and to minimize switching voltage stress. Snubber capacitor in auxiliary circuit serves ZVS state by control voltage variable time at turn on and off of main switch, then reduces voltage stress and power losses. The proposed converter has lossless switching in variable load condition with wide range. A detailed analysis of the circuit is presented and the operation procedure is illustrated. A (50W 100kHz prototype) ZVS flyback converter using a auxiliary circuit is built which shows an efficiency improvement as compared to a conventional hard switching flyback converter.

  • Using network communication, KTX OBCS is KTX's core device which inspects operation status of various electric equipments and supports driving command, train control, train's maintenance, train crew's driving. Since this device is manufactured as specialized system, being dependent on TGV manufacture specification and France's high speed train operation method, actual technic transfer is difficult. Therefore, there are many difficulties, since most of interface signals are connected with OBCS when function improvement, maintenance, various electric equipments(propulsion control device, auxiliary power supply device, door control device etc.) are replaced with localized ones, which are required in operational view after introduction of KTX. Ergo, this study would like to contribute to function improvement and maintenance's efficiency, furthermore to realize technical independence, escaping from dependency of developed foreign technology in high speed train and electric equipments, through KTX OBCS' function analysis and mutual interface information analysis with peripheral device(driver console, PID system, fault display device, various electric equipments).

  • KTX control systems mutually control OBCS, ATC, MBU, TECA, MDT, ABU, HVAC, TRAE, PID and FDTR, KTX OBCS as master, and controls other sub-control devices as slave, using various serial lines. In order to analyze physical structure of various serial link lines and mutual data transmission structure, serial line analyzer is used in many ways. To use serial line analyzer, prior and professional technics about High Speed Train and experience of using device are necessary. In spite of difficult situation of space and environment where we work for maintenance of High Speed Train, in presenting basic structure about physical connection method aquired by sub-device serial line data collection and about communication data analysis, I hope that this research will be helpful for the person who work for similar area. Also, I hope that this research will help diagnostic work of High Speed Train, which is necessary for test run of independently developed High Speed Train.

  • The South Korean fishing industry is experiencing a rapid growth owing to an increase in its leisure-fishing population. Consequently, fishing boats weighing 9-10 [ton] have also been increasing. Current fishing boats operate their essential equipment by switching their engines with batteries to reduce the cost of gas and engine noise. However, stranding incidents have been increasingly recorded annually, in which boats fail to start owing to discharged batteries, and these incidents can lead to serious casualties. This study proposes the installation of a solar auxiliary power system to safeguard fishing boats, particularly those weighing between 9-10 [ton]. The feasibility of securing space for the solar auxiliary power of boats under consideration was verified. To examine the application of solar power, this study calculates the load necessary to operate it for fishing and models such a system using an electricity analysis program The modeled system, which applies the monthly horizontal solar insolation, validated the adoption of a solar auxiliary power in fishing boats.

  • The korea Electric Railway feeder voltage is DC 1500V and AC 250000V. The auxiliary power supply of the vehicle auxiliary power units for domestic electrical feed has been developed with domestic technology hyeonchae mounted station, and domestic uses, such as voltage, have been exported to other countries. However, do not use at domestic that can be used for DC 3000V voltage auxiliary power unit does not develop, vehicle exports global. This has already been replaced by imported products from other nations is a real situation. Thus, our auxiliary power unit for the DC 3000V was developed, it will be exported to Ukraine. In this paper, We introduced circuit and structure of developed auxiliary power supply unit, and verified the performance with output characteristic of the auxiliary power unit.

  • 현재, 고속철도차량의 국내기술확보를 위해 한국형 고속전철이 개발되어 단품시험, 완성차시험, 공장시험 등을 통해 기본적인 성능을 확인한 후 현재는 본선시운전 시험을 실시하고 있다. 시제차량의 성능 및 기능을 종합적이고 효율적으로 확인하기 위해 고속철도 시운전시험시 상시 계측시스템을 시제차량에 설치하여 운영하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 상시계측시스템을 이용하여 보조전원장치에 대한 고장진단을 실시한 것에 대하여 기술하였다.

  • This paper presents a development of the auxiliary power supply simulator for a electric rolling stock. An auxiliary power supplies are required for operating air conditioning units, ventilation fans, lighting and battery charging. Traditionally this function has been fulfilled by Motor-Alternator sets. In recent years, high performance of semiconductor and micro processor, availability and price have made three phase voltage source inverters as an attractive alternative to MA Sets. From the baseline model of the SIV(Static InVerter) for electric rolling stock, we designed the scale down model of the auxiliary power supply simulator consisting of an IGBT three phase voltage source inverter. The auxiliary power supply simulator can be used educatory purpose for training efficiently about operating principles of SIV.

  • 최근 전력설비 운용상의 여러 가지 과제에 대한 유망한 해결책으로서 파워일렉트로닉스 기기를 사용한 FACTS(Flexible AC Transmission System)가 주목을 받고 있다. 그 중에서도 자려식 변환기를 사용한 FACTS기기는 계통의 유효전력$\cdot$무효전력을 계통의 상태에 의존하지 않고 자유롭게 제어할 수 있어, 계통운용의 유연성을 비약적으로 확대할 수 있는 가능성이 있다. 미쓰비시전기는 전력기기간 계통에서의 자려식 변환기 응용의 파이어니어로서 1991년 간사이전력(주) 태산개폐소에 80Mvar SVG(전지형 무효전력발생장치)를 납품하였으며 또한 자원에너지청의 ''연계강화기술개발'' 보조사업으로 도쿄전력(주)을 비롯하여 전력회사 각사, 전원개발(주)와 (재)전력중앙연구소의 지도 하에 3단자 BTB(Back to Back) 실증시스템용으로 세계 최초의 6인치 GTO(Gate Turn-off Thyristor)를 사용한 53MVA의 자려식 변환기를 제작납품하여 수백MVA 클래스의 자려식변환기 제작기술을 확립하였다. 또한 최근에는 동사가 개발한 신소자 GCT(Gate Commutated Turn-off Thyristor)는 지금까지 대용량 자려식 변환기의 커다란 과제였던 운전손실을 반감할 수 있을 것으로 기대되고 있다. 한편 배전 분야에서는 전압변동, 고조파, 순간전압강하 등의 과제가 증가하고 있어, 미쓰비시전기는 이에 응할 수 있는 파워일렉트로닉스 기기로서 콤팩트 SVG(Static Var Generator), SSTS(Solid-state Transfer Switch), 액티브필너를 다수 납품하여 전력품질문제 해결에 공헌하고 있다.
