An increase in senile dementia population has caused social concerns in Korea. The Korean-Boston Naming Test(K-BNT) has been used in assessing naming ability of patients with diffuse brain damage as well as senile dementia. This study was conducted to develop a short from of the K-BNT. to present normative data, and to demonstrate clinical utility of the shortform K-BNT. The participants were 142 healthy elderly adults, ages between 55 and 84, who were sampled in the Seoul-Kyungki area. Twenty patients with mild probable DAT participated in the study. We developed four norms based on education(0∼6 years and more than 6 years) and age(55∼64 and 65∼84 years). The study showed high internal consistency among the items. Further. DAT patients and normal controls showed significant difference in the K-BNT short form scores(F(1, 158) = 23,216, p < .0001). Normative data presented in this study will be useful in evaluating the naming ability of elderly patients in clinical setting.

In order to relieve the burden of the rear ablative material, the combustion test of the solid rocket motor with the forward deployed multi-pin grain design was successfully performed twice. However, after disassembling the solid rocket motor, a non-uniform ablation pattern was found in the rear ablative material. Periodic repetition of local and regional ablation was measured precisely. Two-dimensional flow and eddy flow, created by the uneven main-pin flow hitting the rear ablative material, were identified as the cause of non-uniform ablation. In addition. when the rear pins were removed, the possibility of securing the soundness of the rear ablative material was confirmed as the average flow velocity and the standard deviation were lowered.

Gott, Carter, Leslie, Bostrom and so on, as Descartes did, have made the evidence that is "I am here as an observer" to support many other beliefs. Bostrom and others who studied observation selection effects are missing two points. First, the self-consciousness information of the ones who just came up is distinct from that of the ones who have awoken. The awoken 'I' can trace back by memory to the past, but the 'I' who just came up can not. Second, when calculating credence, we must distinguish the ones in the possible worlds from the ones in the actual worlds. An estimate of credence where only one possible world is actualized among all possible worlds, differs fundamentally from that where all possible worlds are actualized. Keeping these two points in mind, we have explored what is the nature of the self-consciousness information of the one who just came up. We examine in depth the two human embryos thought experiment.

The accident of Slip damage which arose between propeller boss and shaft will be a great problem of safety and economical due to the loss of propulsion power. In this study, the cause of slip damage on the large vessel was surveyed by meeting with officers of troubled ship, checking of drawings on the new built and surveyor report of adjuster company. Additionally, the material of propeller had been compression tested for confirming the impact strength. The result of this studies would be promote the design strength for contact force for keyless propeller, and futhermore reduce the accident of propeller slip between propeller boss and shaft.

Percival Lowell took photographs of 80s during his stay in Korea in the winter of 1883 and 1884. The photographs are the first in the history of Korea and contain various and precious information about Korea of the day. As such, they could be used for purposes of studying late 19th century Chosōn society. The 61 photographs that are archived in Boston Museum of Fine Art were catalogued by National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and have been posted online with incorrect explanations by Boston Museum of Fine Art. The explanations have been composed and revised at least four times on the basis of Lowell's writings and archivists' understandings of Korea. However these explanations contain many errors regarding the content of the photographs, yet have been cited by researchers and books concerning the history of Korea. I examined the explanations, analyzed Lowell's writings and diplomatic documents, and confirmed the locations where the photographs were taken. Accordingly, I suggest improved explanations of the photographs to prevent misuse of the Boston Museum of Fine Art's online archive. Lowell's photographs of Chosōn have very high historical value and could be used in various cultural fields because of their various contents and high definition. However, they belong to America and are not cared for sufficiently. Therefore, I suggest that high definition digital scans and prints of the photographs be generated for the sake of overseas Korean cultural heritage collection.

Bosnia has a unique political and social structure of 'One State-Two Systems' according to the 'Dayton Peace Agreement'. It is true that since the end of the 1995 civil war, the problem of nation and peace in Bosnia has been attracted by the broad concept of Europe as a whole, beyond the local dimension of the Balkans. Bosnia is a typical 'Mosaic of Religion and Culture' region in Europe. And Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia, where various religious and cultural features of Europe are gathered, is called 'Jerusalem in Europe'. For this reason Bosnia has repeated a history of cultural and religious conflict since the Middle Ages. However, before the civil war in the late 20th century, the nations in Bosnia also had experience of 'harmony among various nations, religions and cultures of East and West'. The international community, including the EU, has paid attention to this point as it promotes Bosnia's reconstruction and peace settlement. And these are working to restore the history of harmony among nations in Bosnia today. In the past, research on Bosnia has focused primarily on national conflicts between religions and cultures. However, in this study, I will try to analyze the practical cases of peace settlement and harmony among nations in Bosnia as follows: First, 'Bosnia's accession to the EU' which means active intervention and continued interest of the international community. Second, 'the resolution of war crimes and liquidation of past history' through the end of ICTY mission in December 2017. And third, 'reflection of international society and historical reconciliation of Serbia' through the reinterpretation of the Srebrenica massacre.
