The Maintenance Cost Estimation Model for Information System Maintenance Based on the Operation, Management and Service Metrics (운영·관리 및 서비스 지표에 기반한 정보시스템 유지보수 비용 추정 모델)

  • In this paper, we present the cost measurement metrics for the operation management and service improvement besides the general maintenance. The cost measurement metrics of the operation management and service improvement are based on the metrics that are classified and summarized precedent studies and complemented by empirical measuring indicators, and we propose the maintenance cost estimation model based on this metrics. The maintenance costs can be calculated detailedly, because the proposed metrics can be used selectively, depending on the scope of the information system maintenance. The effectiveness of the proposed maintenance cost measurement metrics and cost estimation model is verified by comparison between existing studies and our research.

  • Repairing timing and the extended service life with repairing are very important for cost estimation during operation. Conventionally used model for repair cost shows a step-shaped cost elevation without consideration of variability of extended service life due to repairing. In the work, RC(Reinforced Concrete) Column is considered for probabilistic evaluation of repairing number and cost. Two mix proportions are prepared and chloride behavior is evaluated with quantitative exterior conditions. The repairing frequency and cost are investigated with varying service life and the extended service life with repairing which were derived from the chloride behavior analysis. The effect of COV(Coefficient of Variation) on repairing frequency is small but the 1st repairing timing is shown to be major parameter. The probabilistic model for repairing cost is capable of reducing the number of repairing with changing the intended service life unlike deterministic model of repairing cost since it can provide continuous repair cost with time.

  • Most information systems are component-based and developed by outsourcing, and developed software is maintained integrative. However, studies on cost measurement indicators and cost estimation model have not been performed sufficiently, which are foundational to enhance the productivity and efficiency of maintenance. This study suggests indicators to measure maintenance cost for component-based software and examines maintenance cost estimation model of component software by the measurement indicators suggested. In order to generate the indicators to measure the component-based maintenance cost, the previously proposed indicators are summarized comparatively. To estimate the measurement indicators of component-based software, it makes a comparison of the previously proposed indicators and arranges them. We classify the measurement indicators by how to apply according to maintenance types of component software and then we propose the cost measurement indicators. Moreover, we propose the cost estimation model according to the maintenance types of component software using the suggested measurement indicators suggested. With the suggested estimation model, a case study is performed and its validity is verified.

  • The estimation of maintenance cost of information system so far has been conducted centered on the ordering body, so the problem of provider's having to cover the cost due to small cost compared to the amount of work is not solved. This study is a base study for estimating the maintenance cost of information system centered on provider, and it deduces cost items of maintenance and suggests adjustment factors for adjusting the gap between the ordering body and provider regarding the maintenance cost. In order to deduce the cost items of maintenance, this study adds the activities of the provider for maintenance to the base study of cost factors regarding the existing maintenance activity, divides, and classifies them into the fixed cost and variable cost. In order to adjust the gap between the ordering body and provider regarding the maintenance cost, this study found the adjustment factors such as the code, utility, and components created by the automatic tool that was not included when estimating the maintenance cost centered on the ordering body. After examining and analyzing K Company's data of maintenance performance for three years, it confirmed that the gap regarding the adjustment factors was about 13% in case of K Company.

  • 전력 산업구조개편으로 인하여 전력회사의 민영화가 진행됨에 따라 전력회사에서는 한정된 예산으로 배전계통을 운영함으로써 유지보수를 위한 충분한 여유가 없어지게 될 것이다. 이러한 환경에서 한정된 비용으로 계통의 신뢰도를 일정 수준 이상으로 유지해야만 하는 문제에 직면하게 되며, 이는 매우 어려운 일이다. 이를 위해서는 최소의 비용으로 최대의 유지보수 효과를 낼 수 있는 방법을 개발해야 하며, 최적의 유지보수 주기를 찾는 것이 중요한 문제라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이런 문제론 해결하기 위해, 유지보수 기기 선정 및 유지보수 주기를 결정하는데 있어 검증된 기법인 Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) 기법을 이용하였다. 배전계통 기기의 유지보수에 있어서 Four-state Markov 모델을 이용하여 기기의 유지보수에 드는 비용과 기기의 고장에 의한 정전비용 사이의 trade-off를 고려하여 총 비용이 최소가 되는 최적의 유지보수 주기를 찾고자 한다. 이를 위하여 기존의 모델에서 평균고장률(mean failure rate)을 사용한 것과는 달리 시변 고장률(time-varying failure rate)을 적용하였으며, 또한 유지보수에 따른 고장률의 감소도 고려함으로써 최적의 유지보수 주기를 결정할 수 있었다.

Estimating Maintenance Cost of RAPCON at Air Force Base (비행기지 RAPCON 유지보수비용 추정)

  • RAPCON non only controls landing/take-off procedures but also approaching air traffics within 60-70 NM range of air force base. This paper, first of all, tries to research the failure rate per operation hours, mean time between failure (MTBF) of RAPCON according to six blocks such as interrogator, receiver, power unit, display unit, data process unit and antenna. In addition, this paper estimates the maintenance cost over next 10 months based on 50 monthly maintenance cost data. Considering the maintenance cost data from RAPCON which has been used over designed service life span, it is no doubt the forecasted data proved the monthly cost would go up incrementally during the rest of economic life of the facility. Such research result is also proven to be the same with the result of bathtub curve data during operating life.

  • 유지보수 활동이 전체 프로젝트의 중요한 비중을 차지하면서 유지보수를 수행하기 위한 비용의 증가가 이루어져 왔다. 하지만 유지보수를 수행하고 관리하는데 사용되는 지표나 지침, 표준문서 등이 구체적으로 마련되지 않다. 유지보수 성능 수준을 향상시키고 유지보수를 평가, 관리하는데 있어 사용 할 수 있는 측정지표 등이 연구되어야 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 자산관리를 위해 사용되는 유지보수스코어카드를 바탕으로 소프트웨어 유지보수 형태에 따라 유지보수 비용의 감소와 분석에 효과적으로 사용할 수 있는 측정지표와 정량적 계산이 가능한 비용 측정지표에 대하여 연구한다.

  • In the maintenance and retrofit planning of a bridge system, the optimal strategy for inspection and repair are suggested by minimizing the expected total life-cycle cost, which includes the initial cost, the costs of inspection, repair, and failure. Degradation of seismic performance is modeled by using a damage function. And failure probability is computed according to the degree of damage detection by random vibration theory and the event tree analysis. As an example to illustrate the proposed approach, a 10-span continuous bridge structure is used. The numerical results show that the optimum number of the inspection and the repair are increased, as the seismic intensity is increased and the soil condition of a site becomes more flexible.

  • 앞으로 진행되는 배전계통의 자유화 환경에서 각 배전사업자들은 고객에게 높은 신뢰수준의 전력을 값싸게 공급하려 할 것이다. 높은 수준의 신뢰수준을 유지하기 위해서 배전계통내의 component의 점검을 통하여 고장의 원인이 될 만한 것들을 찾아내고 고장이 일어나기 전에 그것을 유지보수 하여야 한다. 이 문제는 대상 Component를 얼마나 자주 점검 및 보수를 해야 하는가 라는 문제가 된다. 하지만 그에 따른 비용도 소요가 될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 점검 과 보수 과정의 model을 Markov model로 사용하였으며 대상 Component의 상태에 따라서 다른 보수 기법을 적용함으로써 점검비용과 보수비용 정전비용을 최소화하는 점검 주기를 찾았다. 또한 제안된 방법을 실제 시스템과 유사한 모의시스템에 적용하였다.
