Experimental Study on the Gel time of Acryl Gel According to a Catalyzer quantity (촉매제의 양에 따른 아크릴 겔의 겔화시간에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • Reinforced concrete structure with supplementary relation is a distinguished material. But in this structure, crack is generated by many factors and caused decadence of durability, safety, function, and so on. Hence structure is in need of repair. Preexistence injection of chemical grouting for using repair of crack not enough performance. In this study, Setting time test of Acryl Gel was carried out According to a Catalyzer quantity. The result of test showed that gel time of Acryl Gel decreased with the increased of catalyzer quantity. The result of this study could be used as the basic data for the repair of crack using Acryl Gel.

  • The amount of generated Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion ash (CFBC ash) is annually increasing, but most CFBC ash has been landfilled and discarded due to the limited utilization. The major chemical compositions of CFBC ash are $SiO_2$, CaO and $CaSO_4$, which could form hydration products by reacting with water as self-cementing property such as cement. The purpose of the this study is to derive the optimal mix proportions to improve polymer-modified mortar with the use of CFBC ash which has the self-cementing property. In order to develop polymer-modified mortar, three mix proportions were determined, and fundamental properties for the mixtures were obtained. As a result, the optimal mixture containing 10 percent of silica fume, 1.0 percent of polymer and 3.5 percent of expansive additives were proposed in this study.

  • Because of a number of internet concurrent users and the diversity of goods and data items to be managed, the web sites for internet shopping mall are changed and their management application are updated frequently. So the existing internet shopping mall systems to be implemented by process-based design have the bad adaptability, then we have the difficulty for its maintenance and the overhead cost owing to a variety of changes in the future. Therefore to improve on its adaptability and maintenance, in this study, we design and implement the natural soap shopping mall system with the data model based method. In this paper, the data model designed for the system is considered requirements in the future, and in the view of DA(Data Architecture) it is designed and implemented including the data standardization, then the system has the improved adaptability and maintenance.

Development of Crack Monitoring System for Self-healing Repair Mortar Surface Using Image Processing Technique (이미지 처리 기법을 이용한 자기치유 보수 모르타르 시공표면의 균열 모니터링 시스템 개발)

  • In this study, It was developed an monitoring cracks system based on image processing techniques in order to measure cracks, which are major damages in concrete, and to convert them into a database. The crack monitoring system consists of crack image captured equipment and a crack detection and analysis software. This system provides objective and quantitative data by replacing the conventional visual inspection. The crack detection algorithm w as verified through an indoor test using virtual cracks, and the amount of crack detection and crack width change was monitored by applying it to the self-healing repair mortar construction site. In the case of the crack width detected through image analysis, the maximum difference from the actual crack width was 0.0334mm. It was possible to detect microcracks of 0.1mm or less, and the effect of crack healing over time of the self-healing repair mortar was confirmed trough the field test.

Material Properties of Repair Mortar Considering Accelerator Type and Curing Conditions (급결제 종류 및 양생조건을 고려한 보수용 모르타르의 재료특성)

  • In general, repair mortar is used to rehabilitate underground communities, but difficulties are encountered in the execution of long-term construction due to spatial co-operatives. In this study, the engineering properties of repair mortar according to the curing condition and accelerator type were reviewed. The results showed that the aluminate, alkali-free and calcium-aluminate precipitates in the water curing conditions showed higher compressive strength at the beginning of age than mortar specimens under air curing conditions, and increased. Especially in CA and AF test specimen with cement mineral quick setting, a large amount of ettringite products were observed compared with AL, thus reducing the pore volume and increasing the strength of the compound by micro-filling effect were found.

A Comparative Analysis of Maximum Entropy and Analytical Models for Assessing Kapenta (Limnothrissa miodon) Stock in Lake Kariba (카리브호수 카펜타 자원량 추정을 위한 최대엔트피모델과 분석적 모델의 비교분석)

  • A Maximum Entropy (ME) Model and an Analytical Model are analyzed in assessing Kapenta stock in Lake Kariba. The ME model estimates a Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) of 25,372 tons and a corresponding effort of 109,731 fishing nights suggesting overcapacity in the lake at current effort level. The model estimates a declining stock from 1988 to 2009. The Analytical Model estimates an Acceptable Biological Catch (ABC) annually and a corresponding fishing mortality (F) of 1.210/year which is higher than the prevailing fishing mortality of 0.927/year. The ME and Analytical Models estimate a similar biomass in the reference year 1982 confirming that both models are applicable to the stock. The ME model estimates annual biomass which has been gradually declining until less than one third of maximum biomass (156,047 tons) in 1988. It implies that the stock has been overexploited due to yieldings over the level of ABC compared to variations in annual catch, even if the recent prevailing catch levels were not up to the level of MSY. In comparison, the Analytical Model provides a more conservative value of ABC compared to the MSY value estimated by the ME model. Conservative management policies should be taken to reduce the aggregate amount of annual catch employing the total allowable catch system and effort reduction program.

Field Application Evaluation of Black VES-LMC (흑색 VES-LMC의 현장적용성 평가)

  • VES-LMC(very-early strength latex modified concrete) has been widely used as repair material for bridge deck overlay or rehabilitation, because it could be opened to the traffic after 3 hours of curing. However, the bright color of VES-LMC disturb driver's sigh. A black VES-LMC, matching to asphalt concrete, was developed and applied at a filed for driver's comfort and safety. The black VES-LMC included 2% carbon black in cement weight ratio. A series of performance evaluation for black VES-LMC was done in terms of field applicability, pavement color and temperature change. The field applicability test result showed that there were no change of workability, slump and air void, and the compressive strengthen developed more than 20MPa after 4 hours of placement. The thermal stress of black VES-LMC was smaller than that of OPC and asphalt concrete, which means the stability of black VES-LMC. The performance evaluation result showed that the black VES-LMC could prevent road icing at below zero temperatures and promote thawing at melting temperature.

A Comparative Study on Job Satisfaction of Road Freight Transportation Industry Workers by Type of Employment (화물자동차운송업 종사자들의 고용형태에 따른 직업만족도 비교 연구)

  • This study aims to analyse the differences of job satisfaction in road freight transportation industry workers by different types of employment. The researchers utilized reliability test and factor analysis to estimate the validity and feasibility of the questionnaire. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) was also applied to assess the differences of job satisfaction level by different employment types. The results of reliability test and factor analysis clearly show that questionnaire samples are reliable and feasible. The multivariate analysis of variance result shows statistical insignificance in the level of job satisfaction between part-time workers and special type ones. On the other hand, there was a significant difference between full-time workers and those in other types of employment. The significant variables such as income, welfare, and working hour, etc were discovered.

Strength Development and Permeability of Latex-Modified Concrete with Rapid-Setting Cement (초속경시멘트를 이용한 라텍스개질 콘크리트의 강도 및 투수특성)

  • The purpose of this research was to develop a rapid setting cement latex modified concrete (RSLMC) for bridge deck repairing and overlaying. The main experimental variables were latex contents, antifoamer contents and water-cement ratioes. The workability, strength development and permeability were measured as responses. The results showed that latex content increased the slump and reduced the unit water required for same workability. The air contents were measured as 8.0∼9.0% and 2.0∼3.0% without antifoamer and with 1.6∼3.2% of antifoamer, respectively. This resulted in the increment of compressive strength development by 10∼20 %. The flexural strength of RSLMC increased greatly as the latex content increased, but not in compressive strength. The compressive strength and flexural strength developed enough for opening the overlayed RSLMC to the traffic after 3 hours of RSLMC placement. The permeability of RSLMC was evaluated as negligible due to its very low charge passed. Thus, RSLMC could be used at repairing or overlaying the concrete bridge deck at fast-track job sites.
