Effect of the Residual Impurity on the Prepreg Surface on the Wettability of Encapsulant for Chip on Board Package (칩 온 보드 패키지 적용을 위한 프리프레그 표면 잔류 불순물이 봉지재의 젖음성에 미치는 영향)

  • The effect of the residual impurity on the prepreg surface on the wettability of encapsulant for chip on board package was analyzed with microstructure, compositions and chemical bonds using a scanning electron microscope and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. As a result, the contact angle of w/ residual impurity sample was measured to be 28° higher than that of w/o residual impurity sample, and the C-O bond was decreased to be 4% lower than that of w/o residual impurity sample. The surface energy of the prepreg decreased because the impurity ions, Na and F, generated by the manufacturing process and wet etching, reacted chemically with the C on the prepreg surface, forming C-F bonds and breaking the C-O bonds on the prepreg surface. Therefore, the wettability of the encapsulant was degraded because the contact angle between the encapsulant and the prepreg was increased.

  • This paper describes the implementation of the asymmetric digital subscriber lines(ADSL) interface device function in ATM networks. The function of the ADSL interface devices has been achieved within a type of the ATM switch standard board. The board connected with the ADSL modem process the ATM physical layer function of data transfering asymmetrically. For the implementation of the board, we have modeled a worst case of the subscriber line conditions from the existing investigated results on the impairments such as crosstalk, impulse noise, and some important noises loaded to subscrber line. Also we have performed assessment tests in the full test environments. We have found that the board is met to the standard specification in condition with various test loops and the worst line conditions using an ADLS line simulator. And we confirmed that high-speed multimedia services are performed well with the ATM switch and the ADSL subscriber line. It is evaluted that this board can be used for high quality ADSL services through existed copper subscriber line.

  • Recent studies have been conducted on powerline communications as a viable alternative to the spread of the spread of the Internet and the Internet as the chief source of information act in the information age, the internet does not reach local Last Mile Solution. Powerline communication, but because it has been designed to transfer power to the high frequency signal to be sent when the close of wireless communications services impacted. The notch filters of a common way to eliminate the interference are used. In this paper, a dynamic high-performance notch filter applying WDF performance was verified through MATLAB and was implemented using a TI's TMS320C6416T DSP board.

A Study on the Seam Tracking by Using Vision Sensor (비전센서를 이용한 용접선 추적에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, the use of Robot increase little by little for the purpose of developing a welding quality and productivity in the welding part. It is more important to contact the seam for arc welding before moving a welding robot. There are two types of method to contact the seam namely contact and non-contact type largely. In this paper, image processing sensor(a kind of non-contact sensor) is concerned to track the seam by using laser diode and CCD camera. A structured laser diode's light illuminated on the weld groove and the reflected shape is introduced by CCD camera. The image board captures this image and software analyzes this image. The robot is moved and welded exactly as acquired image X-Y data is changed with robot's X-Y value. Also, most of seam tracking are considered by changing the program simply in case of the different weld groove of plane surface.

  • GDS format files, as well as layout of the chip are noticeably needed so as to analyze the PDN (Power Delivery Network) inside of IC; however, commercial IC in the market has not supported design information which is layout of IC. Within this, in terms of IC having on-chip PDN, characteristic of inside PDN of the chip is a core parameter to predict generated noise from power/ground planes. Consequently, there is a need to scrutinize extraction method for unknown PDN of the chip in this paper. To extract PDN of the chip without IC circuit information, the de-embedding test vehicle is fabricated based on IEC62014-3. Further more, the extracted inside PDN of chip from de-embedding technique adopts the Co-simulation model which composes PCB, QFN (Quad-FlatNo-leads) Package, and Chip for the PDN, applied Co-simulation model well corresponds with impedance from measured S-parameters up to 4 GHz at common measured and simulated points.

  • Planning dose must be delivered accurately for radiation therapy. Also, It must be needed accurately setup. However, patient positioning images were need for accuracy setup. Then patient positioning images is followed by additional exposure to radiation. For 45 points in the phantom, we measured the doses for 6 MV and 10 MV photon beams, OBI(On Board Imager) and CBCT(Conebeam Computed Tomography) using OSLD(Optically Stimulated Luminescent Dosimeter). We compared the differences in the cases where posture confirmation imaging at each point was added to the treatment dose. Also, we tried to propose a photography cycle that satisfies the 5% recommended by AAPM(The American Association of Physicists in Medicine). As a result, a maximum of 98.6 cGy was obtained at a minimum of 45.27 cGy at the 6 MV, a maximum of 99.66 cGy at a minimum of 53.34 cGy at the 10 MV, a maximum of 2.64 cGy at the minimum of 0.19 cGy for the OBI and a maximum of 17.18 cGy at the minimum of 0.54 cGy for the CBCT.The ratio of the radiation dose to the treatment dose is 3.49% in the case of 2D imaging and the maximum is 22.65% in the case of 3D imaging. Therefore, tolerance of 2D image is 1 exposure per day, and 3D image is 1 exposure per week. And it is need to calculation of separate in the parallelism at additional study.

A Study on the Availability of the On-Board Imager(OBI) and Cone-Beam CT(CBCT) in the Verification of Patient Set-up (온보드 영상장치(On-Board Imager) 및 콘빔CT(CBCT)를 이용한 환자 자세 검증의 유용성에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose: On-line image guided radiation therapy(on-line IGRT) and(kV X-ray images or cone beam CT images) were obtained by an on-board imager(OBI) and cone beam CT(CBCT), respectively. The images were then compared with simulated images to evaluate the patient's setup and correct for deviations. The setup deviations between the simulated images(kV or CBCT images), were computed from 2D/2D match or 3D/3D match programs, respectively. We then investigated the correctness of the calculated deviations. Materials and Methods: After the simulation and treatment planning for the RANDO phantom, the phantom was positioned on the treatment table. The phantom setup process was performed with side wall lasers which standardized treatment setup of the phantom with the simulated images, after the establishment of tolerance limits for laser line thickness. After a known translation or rotation angle was applied to the phantom, the kV X-ray images and CBCT images were obtained. Next, 2D/2D match and 3D/3D match with simulation CT images were taken. Lastly, the results were analyzed for accuracy of positional correction. Results: In the case of the 2D/2D match using kV X-ray and simulation images, a setup correction within $0.06^{\circ}$ for rotation only, 1.8 mm for translation only, and 2.1 mm and $0.3^{\circ}$ for both rotation and translation, respectively, was possible. As for the 3D/3D match using CBCT images, a correction within $0.03^{\circ}$ for rotation only, 0.16 mm for translation only, and 1.5 mm for translation and $0.0^{\circ}$ for rotation, respectively, was possible. Conclusion: The use of OBI or CBCT for the on-line IGRT provides the ability to exactly reproduce the simulated images in the setup of a patient in the treatment room. The fast detection and correction of a patient's positional error is possible in two dimensions via kV X-ray images from OBI and in three dimensions via CBCT with a higher accuracy. Consequently, the on-line IGRT represents a promising and reliable treatment procedure.

The Efficacy of the Change in Belly Board Aperture Location by the Addition of Bladder Compression Device for Radiotherapy of Rectal Cancer (직장암 환자의 골반 방사선치료에서 벨리보드 하위 경계 위치 변화의 영향)

  • Purpose: We investigated the effect of location changes in the inferior border of the belly board (BB) aperture by adding a bladder compression device (BCD). Materials and Methods: We respectively reviewed data from 10 rectal cancer patients with a median age 64 years (range, 45~75) and who underwent computed tomography (CT) simulation with the use of BB to receive pelvic radiotherapy between May and September 2010. A CT simulation was again performed with the addition of BCD since small bowel (SB) within the irradiated volume limited boost irradiation of 5.4 Gy using the cone down technique after 45 Gy. The addition of BCD made the inferior border of BB move from symphysis pubis to the lumbosacral junction (LSJ). Results: Following the addition of BCD, the irradiated volumes of SB and the abdominopelvic cavity (APC) significantly decreased ($174.3{\pm}89.5mL$ vs. $373.3{\pm}145.0mL$, p=0.001, $1282.6{\pm}218.7mL$ vs. $1,571.9{\pm}158mL$, p<0.001, respectively). Bladder volume within the treated volume increased with BCD ($222.9{\pm}117.9mL$ vs. $153.7{\pm}95.5mL$, p<0.001). The ratio of irradiated bladder volume to APC volume with BCD ($33.5{\pm}14.7%$) increased considerably compared to patients without a BCD ($27.5{\pm}13.1%$) (p<0.001), and the ratio of irradiated SB to APC volume decreased significantly with BCD ($13.9{\pm}7.6%$ vs. $24.2{\pm}10.2%$, p<0.001). The ratios of the irradiated SB volume and irradiated bladder volume to APC volume negatively correlated (p=0.001). Conclusion: This study demonstrated that the addition of BCD, which made the inferior border of BB move up to the LSJ, increased the ratio of the bladder to APC volume and as a result, decreased the irradiated volume of SB.

Study on Generator Control for a Small X-Ray Tube (X-선 튜브의 고전압 발생장치 제어에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develope a control system for a small X-ray tube generator and investigate control methods for the X-ray generator. The small X-ray tube was developed for electronic brachytherapy, and thus, the new control method should be investigated, if the small X-ray tube is used for the imaging system. The Axxent S700 X-ray tube and the XF060NZZ485 high voltage generator were used to compose a X-ray imaging system and control board was developed by using AT90CAN128 MCU. The two control methods were investigated after tube voltage was set to 50 kV, one was filament current control method and the other was beam current control method. The former was subdivided into two methods according to the filament heating time, the 5 and the 10 seconds respectively. In the filament current method, the beam current did not rise up to the desired value, if the filament current had not been maintained for at least 10 seconds. The onset filament currents to generate beam current were varied from 1,300 to 1,350 mA and over 5 seconds were needed in order to reach the desired tube current value after beam current was generated. However, in the tube current control method, the beam current reached to the desired value without any time delay with the filament current of 1,500 mA. In this study, we found that the beam current control method was appropriate for the use of small X-ray tube developed for brachytherapy in the X-ray imaging system.
