A Study on Evaluation of Restoring Crosswalk and Improving Pedestrian Overpass by Contingent Valuation Method (조건부가치측정법에 의한 횡단보도 복원 및 육교 개량의 가치평가에 관한 연구)

  • This paper is aimed to recognize trends of various social groups about multiple transportation policies such as the crosswalk restoration by eliminating the pedestrian overpasses and the improvement or continuous extension of existing pedestrian overpasses, currently implemented in Busan, following the globally prevailing pedestrian-oriented transportation environment. Also, this paper utilizes Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) to evaluate the efficiency of individual alternatives in terms of respondent's willingness-to-pay (WTP). Consequently, survey participants preferred the crosswalk or improvement of the pedestrian overpasses rather than depending on the existing pedestrian overpasses. In addition, the WTP value for the crosswalk restoration is approximately 42,452 won per household per year, and, on the other hand, the WTP value for the improvement of existing pedestrian overpasses is approximately 36,793 won per household per year, implicating that the transportation policy makers are suggested to place more priorities on crosswalk restoration than the improvement of the existing pedestrian overpasses.

  • A number of standard type of steel-box pedestrian bridges are constructed in th metropolitan high way or heavy traffic urban area. Although it has the advantage of speedy construction because of its simple structural form and prefabricated erection method, it has been reported that many of these bridges are deteriorated or damaged and thus are in the state such that it would give unsafe and uncomfortable feeling to pedestrians. In the paper, for the realistic assessment of safety and load carrying capacity of deteriorated and/or damaged steel box pedestrian bridges, an interactive non-linear limit state model is formulated based on the von Mises' combined stress yield criterion. It has been demonstrated that the proposed model is effective for the reliability-based safety assessment and load carrying capacity evaluation of steel-box pedestrian bridges. In addition, this study suggests an effective and practical field load test method for pedestrian bridges.

  • This study presents overall process for designing and constructing a prestressed frame overpass using temporary piers. For the purpose of automating the design process, this study presents a computer program. According to the effective span(20m, 25m, 30m, 35m, 40m, 45m), this study performed parametric analysis and eventually presented appropriate cross section and compared this cross section with that of the existing simple steel overpass in girder height and quantify of the steel. $26{\sim}48%$ for gilder height and $25{\sim}34%$ for quantify of the steel are reduced as the result of study for span length $20{\sim}45m$. As long as the span length. the reduction rate was large.

  • A vocabulary for a understanding bridge has a different scope. The main characteristics of the modem footbridge are appropriateness, aesthetics and structural efficiency. Design concepts of footbridge design are investigated. There are functional concepts, aesthetical concepts like geometry, symbolism, lighting, and movement, and technical concepts. Futhermore, adaptation examples of these structural concepts for pedestrian bridges are presented.

  • 사람들은 나이가 들어감에 EK라 건강상태와 신체적 기능이 쇠퇴한다. 그래서 대부분의 고령자들은 이동이 제한되고, 교통시스템의 이용에 어려움을 겪게 된다. 본 연구는 60세 이상의 고령자를 대상으로 횡단보도, 육교와 같은 횡단시설의 이용에 대한 고령자들의 교통특성을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해서 본 연구에서는 실태조사와 설문조사를 행하여 고령자들의 횡단보도, 육교 등의 횡단시설의 이용현황을 파악하였다. 또한, 고령자들의 연령, 성별 건강상태, 보행능력, 계단승하강능력 등의 개인속성들 사이의 관련성을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 고령자들의 횡단시설이용이 그들의 건강상태와 신체적 기능의 장애로 인해 매우 제한된다는 것을 보여주고 있어, 고령자의 신체기능 및 교통수단 이용특성을 고려한 교통시설의 정비 및 확충이 필요함을 알 수 있었다.

  • This paper deals with design processing for TEDA-footbridge in Tianjin, China. The pedestrian cross over TEDA(Technology and Economy Development Area)-street as main street bridging both different areas in Tianjin. For resonable beautiful footbridge it need to technical mind and art. 'Science, not intuition, the tool of creativity' Starting with structure planning it need to cooperate both engineering and architect. We must solve a gaps between technology and art for structural design.

  • 두가현수교는 2010년 8월 집중호우로 인해 유실된 교량을 복구하기 위한 과업으로서 향후 재발방지를 위해 중앙 경간장을 증가시켜 통수단면적을 추가확보하고, 교량 여유고를 상향시켜 수해에 대비한 견고한 교량으로 계획하였다. 또한 보행자의 통행을 위한 보도육교의 특성을 고려하여 지역의 관광자원이 될 수 있도록 중앙경간 125m의 V형 주탑 3차원 보도현수교로 설계하였다. 보강거더는 H-Beam을 이용하여 자재 수급 및 취급이 용이하며 강재 바닥판을 적용하여 보다 경량화된 보강거더를 적용함으로써 주케이블의 장력 감소에도 기여하도록 하였으며, 행어정착을 위한 별도의 정착거더를 채택한 ${\pi}$형식을 채택하여 풍동실험을 통해 내풍 안정성을 확인하였다. 주케이블 및 행어는 미관, 구조적 안정성, 유지관리성 및 가설의 용이함을 고려하여 PE를 피복한 PWS케이블을 선정하였다. 경관을 고려한 V형 주탑을 이용한 3차원 케이블을 채택하여 지역의 상징물을 표현하였으며 기초의 규모를 최소화 하였다. 또한 H형 및 A형 주탑과의 비교를 통해 V형 주탑 교량의 특성을 검토하였다.
