Objectives : This study aims to present a new classification system using evaluation standards to ensure the safety of transport ventilators used in Korea. Due to the rapid advancement of technology, various types of ventilators have been developed and as the range of application increases, so does demand. With quick access to information and a growing economy, the technology used in Korean hospitals is equivalent to that of other countries; however, regulatory and safety consciousness are still lagging in Korea. Methods : Based on researching overseas cases, reference data and standards for improving the current system in Korea are proposed. Results : According to the review of transport ventilator use in Korea, it was found that concerns about safety is due to the absence of a standardized classification system for evaluating the safety and effectiveness of transport ventilators. Conclusions : In order to improve the safety of patients and the quality of medical care, it is essential to establish guidelines and assessment standards guaranteeing the safety of transport ventilators in Korea. Clear definitions and classifications for devices must precede the application of such standards. In addition, effective evaluation standards should be developed in order to resolve problems and improve upon the current system through continuous validation.

The purpose of this paper was to evaluate performance of information system for one national university hospital in order to identify the factors influencing performance of information system. KPIs were collected for 181 users of information system (41 doctors, 104 nurses, and 11 medical supporting staffs, and 25 administrative staffs) from August 10 to 24, 2010. The results were as follows: Average performance score for input layer was 3.16; average performance score for process layer was 3.35; and average performance score for business layer was 3.57. Scores for input layer was lowest for nurses and scores for process and business layer were lowest for doctors. Results from the path analysis showed that system quality, demographic characteristics, and security significantly influenced management process but these factors except demographic characteristics influenced user satisfaction; and management process also significantly influenced user satisfaction.

The purpose of the study is to be interested in medical tourism after the COVID-19 endemic. In particular, it aims to present a revitalization plan through the analysis of the current status of tourism festivals, one of the forms of tourism for healing. In this life, festivals are becoming an important valuable activity, and more systematic structural relationships of festivals should be analyzed. As a result, it provided very important implications in that the factors influencing regional development by hosting festivals related to healing were empirically presented through verification affecting festival quality, festival trust, festival satisfaction, and word of mouth effects.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the claim data of Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service to determine what factors affected the length of stay in patients aged 65 and older and undergoing total knee arthroplasty due to the principal diagnosis of gonarthrosis by the type of medical institutions. As a result of making an analysis, gender, age, medical security type, severity, residential area and the number of sickbeds were identified as the factors that influenced the length of stay in each type of medical institutions. At this point in time when an increase in the elderly population triggered by population aging and another subsequent increase in medical expenses put a heavy strain on household and national economy, it's necessary to consider how to shorten the length of stay and how to ensure the efficient management of sickbeds based on the findings of this study. In addition, this study is of significance in that it could be used as basic data on quality life-care for elderly patients by the introduction of a systematic management system geared toward lessening patient burden for medical expenses.

보건의료서비스는 스마트 시대의 도래와 함께 의료와 복지, 안전 등이 복합화 되고 지능화된 스마트헬스(s-Health)의 단계로 진화되고 있으며, 향후 이용자 중심으로 다양한 서비스가 상호 연계되는 고도로 지능화되고 종합화되는 서비스로 지속적인 발전이 예상되고 있다. 따라서 PHR(Personal Health Record)서비스의 활성화를 위해서는 PHR 공동 활용 체계를 구축하기 위한 Open Platform이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 IHE XDS 프로파일 기반의 진료정보교류 환경에서 PHR 공동 활용 체계 구축을 위하여 Mobile PHR Store를 개발하고 open API 기반 PHR Platform을 제시한다.

Purpose: The survey was aimed to provide basic data to develop a certification system for hospice and palliative care professionals. Methods: National Cancer Center (NCC) and the Korean Society for Hospice & Palliative Care (KSHPC) conducted the survey for hospice and palliative care professionals who worked at 34 Palliative care units designated by the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Family Affairs (MW) and the members of the KSHPC. The survey was conducted via e-mail from June 17 to 23, 2009. Total 220 professionals were surveyed. Results: Most of the hospice and palliative care professionals reported a great need for certification system: Physician, 90% (n=51) nurse, 84% (n=134) social worker, 89% (n=35). In regard with the requirement for the certification, a majority of physicians (46%) preferreddiploma course, while social workers (46%) preferred training course for medical social workers. Concerning the certification body, physician (45%) preferred the KSHPC and the MW almost equally, while nurses (50%) and social workers (60%) preferred the MW highly. As for the body to develop and accredit advance training course for each professionals, most of the physicians (51%) preferred the KSHPC, whereas nurses and social workers preferred collaboration of the MW (or NCC) with the professional society, such as the KSHPC (23%), the Korean Hospice & Palliative nurses association for nurses (21%), or the Korean association of (medical) social workers (37%). Lastly, all respondents preferred the course format of once a week, full day, and some field study at weekend. Conclusion: Korean hospice and palliative care professionals identified the great need for the certification system, therefore, the adequate system development must be followed to reflect their voice.

In this research, we analyzed the efficiency of 20 public health centers of Gyeongnam Province during 2007-2009, so weakness of input and output factor were found. We used the CCR, BCC model of Data Envelopment Analysis as a method of evaluation, made a choice human resource as the input variable, made a selection the performance of public health care center, ward as the output variable. The results of this study show that the efficiency of 20 public health centers have got better because Government and Gyeongnam have provided administrative, financial support. It is expected that this research can give good information for effective management of public health centers.

In order to meet the medical demand according to the changing medical environment and to provide patients with quality dental treatment and improve treating environment by establishing reasonable management plan, with 149 patients for whom continuous dental health program has been applied, the degree of satisfaction with the dental treatment, and the influence factors on the satisfaction were investigated. Using the SPSS Ver. 13.0, mean value analysis were performed on the satisfactions with dental care service and the quality of dental care service according to general characteristics, and regression analysis were performed on the influence of general characteristics and the degree of satisfaction with dental care service on the satisfaction of dental treatment. The result of the multiple regression analysis revealed the human (staff), environment, and the procedure of treatment as the influence factors of the satisfaction with dental treatment. Systematic management and training should be implemented to improve the quality of dental care service and enhance the satisfaction.

The purpose of this study was to understand the experience of nurses working in public health centers in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and to identify its essence. The subjects who had worked for more than one year during the period of COVID-19 pandemic in three county health centers in C province were selected as research participants and analyzed according to the phenomenological method proposed by Colaizzi. As a result of the study, three themes were derived: Negative feelings about COVID-19, A firm sense of professional calling, Leading the way in preparing a system to respond to new infectious diseases. Based on this, it was confirmed that it is necessary to strengthen psychological problem support for nurses, improve biased work, support professional manpower, support systematic education, and prepare appropriate compensation system. Therefore, based on the results of this study, active discussions should be made with various interests in order to establish a support system for nurses who are major personnel in the health care system and to prepare an effective infectious disease response strategy.

The paper presents a review of three data sets(Uniform Hospital Discharge Data Set, Nursing Minimum Data Set, and Nursing Management Minimum Data Set) and six major nursing classifications(the North American Nursing Diagnoses Association Taxonomy I, Omaha System, Nursing Interventions Classification, Nursing Intervention Lexicon and Taxonomy, Nursing Outcome Classification, Nursing Outcomes Classification, and Classification of Patient Outcome). The reviewed data sets and nursing classifications were different from each other in the purpose, structure, and user. Nursing Interventions Classification and Nursing Outcomes Classification were linked to North American Nursing Diagnosis Association, but others not. The data set and nursing classifications need to be linked to other data sets and classifications.
