The characteristics and optimization of submicron optical mask using electromagnetic scattering effect (전자기파 산란을 이용한 Submicron 광학 MASK의 특성 및 최적화)

  • Recently, in designing optical mask such as 4GDRAM, the scattering effect of electromagnetic wave must be considered. For this reason we claculated directly the mask function using the finite difference time domain(FDTD) method. The modification of image theory with this new mask function could explain clearly the scattering effect at the etched side wall of the submicron optical mask. The characteristics of the various type of alternating PSM were investigated. According to the simulation, the dual wet etch process was the most useful fabrication technique to overcoe the light scattering off at the shifted opening.

Analysis of Stress-Strain of Weathered Residual Granite Soil with Variation of the Initial Water Content (초기함수비 변화에 의한 풍화잔류토의 응력-변형률 해석)

  • This paper presents the stress-strain , volumetric strain characteristics of the Pocheon weathered residual granite soil with variation of the initial water content under drained conditions. A series of consolidated drained triaxial compressiion tests and isotrpc compression tests with various initial water content on specimens were performed. All material parameters of Lade's double work hardening model were determined by using the results of tests. Most aspects of the soil behavior measured in the triaxial compression tests were reproduced with good accuracy by the constitutive model . Therefore double work hardening model has been shown to be applicable to weathered residual granite soil.

  • As a result of the transfer function analysis on the casual relationship between Andong Dam water level and fog time in Andong City from March of 1981 to December of 1992, it should be referring to monthly increases in the water level having an effect on 0.89 hour per m increases in the fog time with 4 months delay. It is evident, hence, the artificial lake of the dam is one of the direct causes of fog. Based upon this objective evidence, water resources development policy and dam managment policy must be formulated.

  • 본 논문은 DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform) 영역에서의 압축 동영상 하향 전환기법 (down conversion)을 제안한다. DCT 영역에서의 하향 전환이 완전 복호화한 후 공간 영역에서 하향 전환하는 것보다 계산량 측면에서 상당한 이점이 있다. 또한 복호기 루프 내에서 영상 크기가 줄기 때문에 메모리의 부담을 덜 수 있다. 가장 간다한 방법으로서 복원된 영상의 화질이 약잔 떨어지더라도 계산량과 메모리를 줄이기 위해 8x8 DCT 블록의 저주파 영역의 4x4 DCT 계수만을 추출하여 4x4 IDCT하는 기법이 널리 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 변형된 4x4 IDCT 기저 함수를 이용한 새로운 DCT 영역에서의 하향 전환 기법을 제안한다. 모의실험을 통해 제안한 기법이 기존의 DCT 영역에서의 하향 전환기법과 같은 계산량 및 메모리로 향상된 PSNR을 갖는다는 것을 보인다.

Development on the Soil-Water Characteristics Curve Equation of Deformable Soils (체적이 변하는 흙의 흙-수분 특성곡선식 개발 비교)

  • 본 논문은 체적이 변하는 흙에 대하여 새로운 흙-수분 특성곡선 이론을 제시하고 이를 실험적으로 규명하였다. 그 결과, 점토와 같이 불포화되는 과정중 체적변형이 발생하는 흙의 흙-수분 특성곡선은 간극비와 흡인력의 함수이므로 체적변화를 무시할 수 없음이 밝혀졌다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 체적변화가 있는 경우 흙-수분특성곡선을 구하기 위하여 두가지 실험법을 채택하였다. 그 첫째는 전통적인 압력판 추출시험과, 중량함수비와 간극비와의 관계를 알 수 있는 수축한계시험을 실시하여 조합하는 방법이며, 둘째 방법은 압력판 셀을 새로인 고안하여 추출시험시에 체적 수축도 측정할 수 있는 수정된 압력판 셀 시험방법을 이용하는 것이다. 이 시험결과를 3차원 상의 면(surface)에서 표현하여, 체적변형을 고려한 흙-수분 특성을 규명할수 있도록 하였다.

  • The LMS(Least Mean Square) algorithm, one of the most famous, is generally used because of tenacity and high mating spots and simplicity of realization, But it has trade-off between nonuniform collection and EMSE(Excess mean square error). To overcome this weakness, a variable step size is used widely, but it needs a lot of calculation loads. In this paper, we suggest changed algorithm in case of environment changes of cars and reduce amount of calculation as it uses original signal and noise signal of IGC(Instantaneous Gain Control) algorithm. In this paper, logarithmic function is removed because of real-time processing IGC. The performance of proposed algorithm is tested to adaptive noise canceller in automobile.

  • A plane-strain finite element analysis of sheet metal forming is carried out by using the rigid-plastic FEM based on the membrane theory. The sheet material is assumed to possess normal anisotropy and to obey Hill's new yield criterion and its associated flow rule. A formulation of initial guess generation for the displacement field is derived by using the nonlinear elastic FEM. A method of contact treatment is proposed in which the skew boundary condition for arbitrarily shaped tools is successively used during iteration. In order to verify the validity of the developed method, plane-strain drawing with tools in analytic expression and with arbitrarily shaped tools is analyzed and compared with the published results. The comparison shows that the present method can be effectively used in the analysis of plane-strain sheet metal forming and thus provides the basis of approximate sectional analysis of panel-like sheet forming.

  • The magnitude of evanescent modes in terms of dynamics it investigated in case that the transformation of water waves is predicted by the linear wave theory. For the waves propagating over two steps, the eigenfunction expansion method is used to predict the amplitudes of reflected and transmitted waves by the component of evanescent modes as well as propagating modes. Then. the relative importance of evanescent modes to the propagating modes is investigated. The numerical experiments find that the evanescent modes are pronounced at the relative water depth of k$_1$h$_1$=0.11$\pi$ and the water depth ratio of h$_2$/h$_1$ close to zero.

Estimation of Final Deformation of Hard Rock Tunnel Using Early Measured Deformation (초기계측치를 이용한 경암 지반내 터널의 최총변위량 예측)

  • To use the early measured data of tunnel deformation in but analysis, the relationship between these values find final deformation data were studied. Panet\`s exponential and fraction equations successfully approximate the convergence of the hard rock tunnels. Measured deformation data of ID location, $U_{1D}$ show that they can be lilted to linear equations but should not be used to estimate potential deformation before measurement, $C_{0}$. Early measured data $U_{1D}$ $U_{2D}$ , and final deformation $ U_{L}$ showed linear correlations. It proved that estimated data of final deformation from early measured ones can be used as input parameters for back analysis.

  • The coding of video sequences has been the focus of research in recent years. High Definition TV(HDTV), video conferencing and video on demand(VOD) are some of the well known applications. In the moving picture compression, motion estimation algorithm plays a very important role, but due to its high computational complexity, there has been many approaches to overcome this difficulty. We propose a new block matching criterion that uses modified cost functions. This new block matching criterion classifies pixels into 2-levels, 4-levels and 8-levels with a suitable thresholding method. We also show that our new proposed algorithms can easily be combined with many other fast motion estimation algorithms with good performance.
