Reduced-order Parameter-dependent Robust $H_{\infty}$ Filtering for Discrete Uncertain Singular Systems (이산 불확실 특이시스템의 변수종속 차수축소 강인 $H_{\infty}$ 필터링)

  • In this paper, we present a reduced-order parameter-dependent robust $H_{\infty}$ filter design method for discrete-time singular systems with polytopic uncertainties. A BRL(bounded real lemma) for parameter-dependent singular systems is derived from a parameter-dependent Lyapunov function. On the basis of the obtained BRL, low order robust $H_{\infty}$ filter design method is presented by polytopic approach, new reduced-order method, and LMI(linear matrix inequality) technique. Finally, a numerical example is presented to illustrated the feasibility of the proposed method.

  • 지금까지 수공구조물의 설계와 기존 시설의 안전도를 평가시 수문, 수리 및 경제학적 함수들에서 발생하는 불확실성을 설명하기 위하여 안전율 또는 여유고를 증가시키거나 이들 정보의 양과 질을 증가시켜 데이터베이스를 확장하고 측정오차를 최소화시키며, 전통적인 통계해석을 적용하였다. 공공의 안전을 확보하기 위하여 설계과정에 안전율 또는 여유고가 도입되었으나 이것은 단순히 보다 높은 재현기간의 적용을 의미하며, 수문현상이 가지는 추계학적 특성보다 확정론적인 근거로부터 안전설계 개념이 개발되었다. 수자원 계획시 고려되는 부하와 저항은 확정론적인 고정치가 아니라 시간에 따라 변하고 동적이며, 무작위적이므로 확률 변수로서 고려되어야 한다. 이에 따라 최근 수자원 계획과정에서 불확실성 해석에 의한 위험도 분석 개념이 도입되고 있으며, 특히 이상기후 및 집중호우의 빈발, 급격한 도시화로 인한 유출양상의 변화 등으로 급증하고 있는 훙수피해를 감안할 때 설계빈도의 상향조정과 같은 확정론적인 방법보다는 매개변수 또는 함수의 불확실성을 고려한 위험도 해석의 필요성이 더욱 증대되고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 수자원 계획시 입력자료 및 매개변수의 불확실성과 불확실성의 분리를 고려한 홍수량의 산정 및 각 매개변수의 영향을 평가하여 홍수위험도 해석에 있어서 모델 매개변수의 영향 규명과 처리방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Moderating Effects of User Gender and AI Voice on the Emotional Satisfaction of Users When Interacting with a Voice User Interface (음성 인터페이스와의 상호작용에서 AI 음성이 성별에 따른 사용자의 감성 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study sought to identify the voice user interface (VUI) design parameters that evoked positive user emotions. Six VUI design parameters that could affect emotional user satisfaction were considered. The moderating effects of user gender and the design parameters were analyzed to determine the appropriate conditions for user satisfaction when interacting with the VUI. An interactive VUI system that could modify the six parameters was implemented using the Wizard of OZ experimental method. User emotions were assessed from the users' facial expression data, which was then converted into a valence score. The frequency analysis and chi-square test found that there were statistically significant moderating gender and AI effects. These results implied that it is beneficial to consider the users' gender when designing voice-based interactions. Adult/male/high-tone voices for males and adult/female/mid-tone voices for females are recommended as general guidelines for future VUI designs. Future analyses that consider various human factors will be able to more delicately assess human-AI interactions from a UX perspective.

  • The equilibrium network design problem can be formulated as a mathematical Program with variational inequality constraints. We know this problem may have may multiple local solutions due to its inherent characteristics - Nonlinear Objective function and Nonlinear, Nonconvex constraints. Hence, it is difficult to solve for a globally optimal solution. In this paper, we propose a genetic algorithm to obtain a globa1 optimum among many local optima. A Proposed a1gorithm is compared with 4 different solution algorithms for 1 small test network and 1 real-size network. The results of some computational testing are reported.

  • In this paper the laminate design parameters are researched to maximize the performance index of a composite pressure vessel. To maximize the performance index, the three design variables that the thickness of each of helical and hoop layers and the length of hoop layer are considered under the assumption of fixed internal space. To optimize the variables, the response surface method is introduced for construction of the surrogate model and the ANOVA(analysis of variance) is performed to evaluate the effects of the variables. The optimization problem is formulated to maximize performance index under the burst pressure constraint. To verify the effectiveness of the research, numerical analyses are performed for the optimum model.

  • In this paper, we propose a optimization approach for the Electric Locomotive Overhaul Maintenance Facility (ELOMF), which aims at the simulation optimization so as to meet the design specification. In simulation design, we consider the critical path and sensitivity analysis of the critical (dependent) factors and the design (independent) parameters for the parameter selection and reduction of the metamodel. Therefore, we construct the multi-objective non-linear programming. The objective function is normalized for the generalization of design parameter while the constraints are composed of the simulation-based regression metamodel for the critical factors and design factor's domain. Then the effective solution procedure based on the pareto optimal solution set is proposed. This approach provides a comprehensive approach for the optimization of Train Overhaul Maintenance Facility(TOMF)'s design parameters using the simulation and metamoels.

  • This paper is concerned with the evaluation of mixing performance of a particle mixer, which consists of a vertical cylindrical vessel and a rotating impeller with several blades. We consider four design variables for the mixer blades, such as the angle, length, and number of blades, and the gap between the blades and the vessel bottom. The particle mixing process due to the impeller rotation is simulated using the discrete element method, and the mixing performance is quantitatively evaluated by introducing a mixing index. Analyzing the main effects and interactions of the four design variables through the design-of-experiments approach, it is concluded that the blade angle has the most dominant influence on the mixing performance whereas the gap has no significant influence. In addition, we determine the best combination of design parameters to maximize the mixing performance.

  • 본 연구에서는 광픽업 액츄에이터의 동적특성과 관련한 주요 설계 변수를 도출하였고, 이 결과를 이용하여 초기설계를 용이하게 하는 방안을 제시하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 많은 시간과 노력을 들이지 않아도 주요한 설계변수만을 사용하여 초기 설계단계에서 핵심적인 부분에 대한 사양을 결정할 수 있을 것이며, 이를 바탕으로 상세 설계단계에서 보다 창의 적인 설계를 수행할 수 있을 것이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 주파수 응달특성의 해석을 통하여 제어기를 설계하는 방법을 제안하였다. 모델의 오차가 없다는 가정 하에 완벽 제어가 가능한 IMC-PID 구조를 사용 한으로 하나의 변수인 제어 조절 인자만으로 제어기를 설계하였다. 이 변수를 선정하는 방법으로는 위상여유와 이득여유를 고려한 방법을 수학적으로 유도하였다. 이는 설계자가 이미 알고 있는 일반적인 유도 식을 이용함으로 설계를 보다 쉽게 할 수 있다. 이를 통하여 원하는 설계사양을 만족 시키도록 하는 IMC-PID제어기의 설계 변수 값들을 수학적으로 제시하고, 그 유용성을 사례 연구와 분석을 통해 검토하였다.

  • This paper deals with parametric studies for the structural response of LNG Storage Tank steel roof behavior acoording to change in design condition. In the design of steel roof, it may be required to represent a stable behavior under many loading conditions and those of combinations. We fulfill the analysis the steel roof behavior during concret placing and additionally change the design variabls like H beam, pressure and steel roof plate thickness. On the basis of the obtained results from this studies a guideline for a more reasonable design of LNG storage tank steel roof is introduced.
