The round bale wrappers are generally used for rice straw after the harvesting of low land rice by combine harvester. In this situation, the bale wrappers should be well adapted under the travelling over raised borders and temporary ditches in soft soil of narrow rice fields. The study was conducted to improve the performance of bale wrapper through the new design for compact size, lowered gravity center and lowered power consumption. The prototype of round bale wrapper had been designed and assembled to tractor with three point hitch mounted. The machine type is one roll driving system with one roll for rotating and one roll for wrapping. The driving torque and work performance of the machines were measured and analysed. The torque requirement of the prototype and conventional type was 6kgf-m and 12kgf-m, respectively. The prototype shaved less friction resistance between bale driving roll and round bale. and the power requirement can also be reduced from 12kgf-m in the conventional to 6kgf-m in the prototype. The work efficiency of the new bale wrapper was $45\%$ higher than the conventional wrapper, and the working cost of the prototype can be reduced $17\%$ than that of the conventional.

베일러 작업에 있어 작업시의 볏짚의 함수율은 베일러의 작업성, 저장 중에 발생하는 볏짚의 물리적, 화학적 변화 등에 있어 중요한 요소로 작용한다. 국내의 경우 가을철에 청명하고 건조한 날이 많아 볏짚이 빠르게 건조되나 일기가 고르지 못한 경우에는 높은 함수율에서도 작업을 해야할 경우가 생긴다. 높은 함수율에서 작업하는 경우 필연적으로 베일의 질적 저하가 일어나는데 이를 줄이는 방법의 하나로 밀도를 조정하는 방법이 있다. (중략)

KBA코리아(대표 케네스 엠 한센)는 지난 10월 31일 앰배서더호텔 19층 오키드룸에서 'KBA로드쇼'를 가졌다. 이날 행사에서는 요르겐 베일 KBA 본사 마케팅이사가 라피다106, 145 등 KBA 중 대형포맷인쇄기에 대한 특징과 기술에 대해 설명했다. 요르겐 베일은 KBA에서 R&D를 담당했으며, 지금은 마케팅 이사를 맡고 있다.

The objective of this experiment was to evaluate chemical composition, dry matter(DM) digestibility, DM intake, relative feed value(RFV) and hay grade of imported roughage which was collected by wholesale dealer at Chungnam province in 1999. Experimental roughages includes 8 kinds of imported hays(com stover bale, tall fescue straw, green cell, bermudagrass straw, reed carnarygrass straw, alfalfa bale, sugarcane bale and oat hay) and mixture hay(control) which was harvested at Chungnam National University experimental field. Compared with mixture hay(control) except for alfalfa bale, crude protein of most imported roughage was low, but NDF, ADF, cellulose and lignin compound were high. Futhermore, DM digestibility, DM intake, RFV and hay grade of imported roughage except for alfalfa bale was significantly lower than those of mixture hay(control)(P<0.05). Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the economic value in the aspect of quality for the imported roughages.

본 시험은 호밀 라운드베일 사일리지 제조시 수확시 숙기 및 비닐색이 사일리지 품질에 미치는 영향을 비교하기 위하여 수행되었다. 저장 2개월 후의 일반조성분 함량은 수확시 숙기간에는 유의성이 있었으나 비닐 색간에는 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 백색비닐을 사용한 경우 IVDMD가 흑색이나 녹색을 사용한 경우보다 높았지만 통계적 유의성은 없었다. pH는 백색이 유의적으로 낮게 나타났으며 흑색과 녹색 비닐간에는 차이가 없었다.(중략)

가. 대형 원형베일의 볏짚을 절단하여 축사의 사조나 TMR제조기에 공급하는 원형베일쵸퍼를 개발하였다. 나. 시작기의 적정작업속도는 PTO 500rpm 수준이었으며 이때 작업능율은 964kg/시간, 평균볏짚절단길이는 13.9 cm이었다. 다. 시작기의 소요동력은 PTO회전수가 300rpm에서 600rpm으로 높아짐에 따라 증가하였으며 PTO회전수 500rpm 일 때 축 토크는 38.4kgf·m 수준이었다. 라. 비육우 50두 규모에서 시작기는 관행(볏짚절단기)에 비하여 노력절감 92%, 작업비용 26.%절감으로 나타나 실용성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 마. 볏짚의 허실율만을 고려한 손익분기급이량은 106톤/년으로 나타나 대규모의 전업 낙농 농가나 비육우 농가 또는 여러농가에서 공동 사용할 경우에 경제성이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

본 시험은 수단그라스계 잡종의 라운드배일 사일리지 조제 가능성에 대한 기초자료를 확보하기 위하여 실시하였다. 공시품종은 출수형인 G83F 및 GW9110G, 그리고 비출수형인 TE-Evergreen을 이용하였고 사일리지 조제전 1일간 예견한 후 라운드베일 사일리지로 조제 한 후 2개월간 보관하였다. 건물 함량은 비출수형인 TE-Evergreen에서 27.7%로 가장 낮았으며 출수형인 G83F 및 GW9110G의 건물 함량은 각각 37.1 및 33.8%로 높았다.(중략)
