The shortcomings of the previous Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) theory in practice have led to the limitations of the conventional crime prevention design process. The purpose of this study is to analyze the graftability of the third generation CPTED theoretical framework and the Double Diamond design process from a design perspective. Thus, the third generation CPTED visualization design process is proposed to be grafted with the Double Diamond design process. In the study, the propositions, goals, strategic approaches, and liveability principles of the third-generation theoretical framework are clarified according to the relevant studies by scholars. In addition, the study identifies the limitations of conventional crime prevention design processes in terms of practicality and effectiveness, based on corrections from research in different scientific fields. On this basis, the Framework of Innovation of the British Design Council was used to clarify the benchmarks and foundations for the grafting of the third-generation theoretical framework and the Double Diamond design process. In addition, the details of the grafting are analyzed and explained in terms of phase outputs and phase activities. The significance of the study is that the third-generation CPTED visualization design process, which is grafted to the Double Diamond design process, can help residents to implement behaviors that reflect their self-worth and create a state of engagement. As well, it can inform the collaboration between design and non-design staff in CPTED projects.

With the growing concern over frequent occurrences of criminal events, help-requesting mobile applications have drawn attention. However, existing applications solely focus on providing help-requesting services. Therefore, in this paper, we design and implement a help request and response process which allows users to request help by sending messages and locating their friends, acquaintances and even near-by application users, and to allow help be reached by forwarding messages. This application is composed of three parts: help-requesting, help-responding, and checking-status. This application is developed on the Android platform where we exchange users' longitude and latitude through web server communication. We conducted test to verify the effectiveness of the forwarding function, and it has been confirmed that 93.33% of subjects used the forwarding function to help users at risk.

With an increase in urban crimes in various forms, this study is intended to analyze the effectiveness of the service design that presented a new model resolving crime risks through differentiated thinking paradigm and problem approaches. The empirical case addressed in this study is 'the project to create resident-driven safe community in Duryu-dong, Dalseo-gu, Deagu though service design'. This project is evaluated as having prepared a prevention-oriented local safety system through a preemptive and resident-centered process. The project was promoted as a 'natural monitoring capacity building program' for residents to prevent local crimes, a 'social role expansion program' for local safety, and 'crime prevention environment design', which provides comprehensive solutions for residents' safety. Here, designers act as exerts in designing a task-based platform that can be driven by residents rather than a visual environment improver, and reorganizing the local ecosystem by expanding the opportunities for residents to interact. This case identifies the role of service design as binding the solidarity of local residents beyond the improvement of the crime environment and giving them the potential capacity to maintain a safe living space in relation to a safety issues of community.

The Internet continues to grow and develop, but there are going to generate a variety of Internet attacks that exploit it. In the initial Internet environment, the attackers maliciously exploited Internet environments for ostentations and hobbies. but these days many malicious attempts purpose the financial gain so systematic and sophisticated attacks that are associated with various crimes are occurred. The structures, such as viruses and worms were present in the form of one source multi-target before. but recently, APT(Advanced Persistent Threat, intelligent continuous attacks) in the form of multi-source single target is dealing massive damage. The performance evaluation analyzed whether to generate audit data and detect integrity infringement, and false positives for normal traffic, process detecting and blocking functions, and Agent policy capabilities with respect to the application availability.
