A Pulse Modulator for Femtosecond Far-Infrared (FS-FIR) using Inverter HV Power Supply (인버터 전원장치를 사용한 펨토세컨드 원적외선 가속장치의 펄스 모듈레이터)

  • 펨토세컨드 원적외선 가속장치(Femtosecond Far-infrared Accelerator)에는 5 밴드의 클라이스트론이 사용되고 있으며, 이를 구동시키기 위하여 신뢰성이 높고 컴펙트하며 효율성이 좋은 펄스 모듈레이터가 필요하다. 전통적인 방식의 라인타입 공진충전 펄스 모듈레이터는 직류전원을 만들기 위하여 많은 고전압 소자들을 사용한다. 이러한 소자들로는 SCRs, 3상 트렌스포머, 정류 다이오드, 필터 초크, 필터 커패시터, 충전 인덕터, 충전 다이오드, deQing 회로, de-spiking 초크 둥으로 구성된다. 펨토세컨드 원적외선 가속장치의 펄스 모듈레이터에는 이러한 소자들을 사용하는 대신에 고전압 인버터전원장치를 사용함으로써 신뢰성이 높고 컴펙트하며 효율성이 좋은 펄스 모듈레이터를 제작하였다. 전통적인 방식의 라인타입 공진충전 펄스 모듈레이터는 deQing 회로를 사용해야만 하지만, 펨토세컨드 원적외선 가속장치의 펄스 모듈레이터의 빔 전압의 변동폭은 deQing 회로를 사용하지 않고도 0.5 % 범위안에서 동작하기 때문에 출력이 매우 안정적이다. 고전압 인버터전원장치의 사양은 10 KJ, 50KV, 200mA의 전원장치 4개를 병렬로 사용하여 30 Hz로 운전하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 펨토세컨드 원적외선 가속장치의 펄스 모듈레이터의 디자인개념과 출력전압의 변동폭에 관하여 논의하고자한다.

Design of PFM Boost Converter with Dual Pulse Width Control (이중 펄스 폭을 적용한 PFM 부스트 변환기 설계)

  • This paper proposed a PFM(pulse-frequency modulator) boost converter which has dual pulse-width. The PFM boost converter is composed of BGR(band gap voltage reference generating circuit), voltage reference generating circuit, soft-start circuit, error amplifier, high-speed comparator, inductor current sensing circuit and pulse-width generator. Converter has different inductor peak current so it has wider load current range and smaller output voltage ripple. Proposed PFM boost converter generates 18V output voltage with input voltage of 3.7V and it has load current range of 0.1~300mA. Simulation results show 0.43% output voltage ripple at ligh load mode and 0.79% output voltage ripple at heavy load mode. Converter has efficiency 85% at light lode mode and it has maximum 86.4% at 20mA load current.

Comparative Study on Hyperspectral and Satellite Image for the Estimation of Chlorophyll a Concentration on Coastal Areas (연안 해역의 클로로필 농도 추정을 위한 초분광 및 위성 클로로필 영상 비교 연구)

  • Estimation of chlorophyll a concentration (CHL) on coastal areas using remote sensing has been mostly performed through multi-spectral satellite image analysis. Recently, various studies using hyperspectral imagery have been attempted. In particular, airborne hyperspectral imagery is composed of hundreds of bands with a narrow band width and high spatial resolution, and thus may be more effective in coastal areas than estimation of CHL through conventional satellite image. In this study, comparative analysis of hyperspectral and satellite-based CHL images was performed to estimate CHL in coastal areas. As a result of analyzing CHL and seawater spectrum data obtained by field survey conducted on the south coast of Korea, the seawater spectrum with high CHL peaked near the wavelength bands of 570 and 680 nm. Using this spectral feature, a new band ratio of 570 / 490 nm for estimating CHL was proposed. Through regression analysis between band ratio and the measured CHL were generated new CHL empirical formula. Validation of new empirical formula using the measured CHL showed valid results, with R2 of 0.70, RMSE of 2.43 mg m-3, and mean bias of 3.46 mg m-3. As a result of applying the new empirical formula to hyperspectral and satellite images, the average RMSE between hyperspectral imagery and the measured CHL was 0.12 mg m-3, making it possible to estimate CHL with higher accuracy than multi-spectral satellite images. Through these results, it is expected that it is possible to provide more accurate and precise spatial distribution information of CHL in coastal areas by utilizing hyperspectral imagery.

  • Noise measurements were performed by distance for major construction equipment. especially, For construction equipment that large width of variations is depending on the type of work, noise measurements were performed by the detail type of work. For a time of quiescent and construction, "A" compensation equivalent noise level (Leq) were measured. Most of the construction equipment and the characteristics of the point source appears to be similar in analyzed noise measurement results.

  • A new structure of double-resonant cylindrical monopole is proposed for multiple band applications. Multiple band property for the proposed antenna is achieved by adjusting the coupling structure of the antenna base for a double resonance. Measured results of the proposed antenna are compared with those of wire and thick cylinder monopoles.

  • Direct torque control(DTC) of AC motor has the fast torque and flux dynamic responses even though it has very simple scheme to implement. DTC is also very simple in its implementation because it needs only two hysteresis comparators and switching vector table for both flux and torque control. The amplitude of hysteresis band greatly influences on the drive performance such as flux and torque ripple, switching frequency and current harmonics. Therefore, authors analysis flux and torque hysteresis bands is suggested considering switching frequency and harmonic distortion of currents.

  • In this paper, a wide band helical antenna for mobile handset using parasitic element effect has been investigated. To obtain the effect of parasitic element, we utilized the cylindrical conductor which is not feed. As thickness of cylindrical conductor is increasing, second and third resonance frequency become abruptly variable. In case of that 4.5mm diameter parasitic element cylindrical conductor is inserted, normal mode helical antenna obtained bandwidth of around 900 MHz on the limit of R. L., - 5 dB.

  • In order to display magnetic signals obtained from a magneto-resistance sensor, a direct current magnetometer was designed and its circuit was constructed. The magnetic fields measured by the home-made magnetometer, which showed good functions of automatic ranging, analog output, and vector sensing, were well agreed with those by commercial MAG-01 magnetometer. The measurement range of the magnetometer was $1\;{\mu}T$ to 1.999 mT, the resolution was -132 dB within 1 Hz bandwidth and the measured magnetic fields could be displayed with $3{\cdot}1/2$-digit LED.

  • 본 논문에서는 X-band GB-SAR 시스템을 이용하여 지상을 모니터링 하였으며, 대기 중의 습도와 거리의 영향을 받는 대기보정 상수를 산출하였다. 시스템에서 X-band 안테나는 중심주파수 9.65 GHz, 밴드 폭 600 MHz이며, 신호의 증폭과 다편파 측정 및 분석을 위해 각각 마이크로파 앰프와 마이크로파 스위치를 이용하였다. Azimuth step과 length는 5 cm와 5 m로 최대 관측 거리는 약 200 m 이다. phase 분석에 쓰인 산란체는 총 5개의 trihedral corner reflector로서, 시스템으로부터의 거리를 각각 다르게 설정하였다. 실험은 3일간 연속적으로 수행되었으며, 실험간 상대습도는 최소 50 %에서 최대 90 %까지로 약 40 %의 변화를 보였다. 고정된 상태의 reflector는 마치 이동한 것과 같은 현상을 보였는데 이는 마이크로화의 전파과정에서 발생하는 거리와 습도에 따른 지연효과라고 판단하였으며, 이를 배제하기 위하여 대기보정식을 산출하였다. 산출과정에서 temporal coherence가 0.98 이하인 reflector의 신호는 제외하였는데 이 경우 시스템 및 reflector의 안정성에 문제가 있다고 판단하였기 때문이다. 산출된 대기보정식은 C-band 안테나를 사용한 실험과 비교하여 보았다.

A Study on the Characteristics of Wide Band Matching Connector in Round Coaxial Lines (원형 동축 선로에서 광대역 매칭 커넥터의 특성 연구)

  • In this paper, smoothing plane connector have been proposed as the vehicle connector for the wireless access in vehicular environments (5.925GHz) communication. This smoothing plane connector is designed by considering the properties of critical parameter like smoothing distance of start to end point of contact area. The design simulation and results can be used to determine the most suitable smoothing plane wire dimensions for vehicle communication connector. The optimized WAVE connector inserted the smoothing plane wire has insertion loss less than-0.17dB at 5.925GHz. It provides 20% of insertion loss with good performance. Therefore, the simulated results can be effectively used for optimum design of high frequency connector for vehicle communication.
