Study on The Voltage Variation in Power Distribution Systems Including cogeneration Facilities. (열병합 발전설비의 배전계통 연계시 전압변동에 관한 연구)

  • This Paper deals with voltage variation and voltage regulation method in power distribution systems including cogeneration facilities. In order to deliver suitable voltages to many customers at the distribution substations. In this paper, an on-line real time modified voltage regulation method is proposed. The result from a case study show that the proposed method can be practical tool for the voltage regulation in distribution systems including cogeneration facilities.

  • KEPCO's high voltage distribution power line laid under the ground near to the J-booster pumping station that supply water for living. Lightening rod equipment does not installed at the J-booster pumping station because KEPCO's over head ground wire for protection functions as a lightening rod equipment. In this study, it is concerned whether KEPCO's over head ground wire for protect the distribution power line affect to the J-booster pumping station which is installed for reduce the damage from the direct and indirect lightening. If KEPCO's protection area does not affect to the J-pumping station, it is plan to examine the construction method of lightening rod protection angle and lightening rod equipment and to suggest the optimum protection plan using the surrounding structure based on the suitability of protection area.

  • This paper deals with the optimal investment method for distribution facilities, based on the analytical approach for the reliability assessment in distribution systems interconnected with new dispersed generations. The existing approach can estimate the expected reliability performance of distribution systems by a direct assessment of the configuration of the systems using the reliability indexes such as NDP(Non-Delivery Power) and NDE(Non-Delivery Energy). The indexes can only consider the number and configuration of the load, but can not consider the characteristics of the load which is the one of the most important factor in the investment cost for the distribution systems. Therefore, this paper presents the new performance indexes for the investment of the distribution facilities considering both the expected interruption cost for the load section and the operation characteristics of dispersed generations. The results from a case study show that the proposed methods can be a practical tool for the voltage management in distribution systems including dispersed sources.

  • The cogeneration facilities (COGN) into the power distribution system can cause operational problems - reenergization of distribution feeders under repair by utility personnel, voltage variation and regulation because of output power of COGN, and lost of coordination at emergency state - on an electrical utility system. This paper deals with momentary voltage dips as the parallel interconnection operation of COGN in the power distribution system. PSCAD/EMTDC simulation tool is used to show the behavior of momentary voltage dips. In addition, restraint solution for momentary voltage variation is presented.

  • Distribution facilities are installed dispersedly nationwide and in view of huge amounts. it makes it difficult to manage and update distribution facilities information manually. Consequently, much efforts have been exerted on computerization of distribution facilities information. KEPCO has been building distribution facilities information system using GIS technology(DGIS) to manage distribution facilities. In order to implement DGIS, digitizing the existing cartographical and land registration map is essential. In this regard, the Government is pursuing the NGIS project. In parrallel with it, DGIS project will be accelerated in the future. This paper suggests the efficient development plans to computerize distribution facilities using GIS technology.

  • 배전계통에서 병렬아크는 전선이나 노후된 설비의 절연파괴에 따른 합선에 의하여 발생하고 직렬아크는 차단기, 소켓-플러그, 커플러 등 접속기에서 부하와 전원이 분리되는 경우에 발생한다. 이러한 아크현상에 대응하기 위해서는 아크의 특성을 해석하고 그에 따른 아크소호방법이 제시되어야 한다. 병렬아크는 1889년 발견된 Paschen의 법칙에 따르며, 평행한 금속판 사이에 아크방전이 시작되는 항복전압이 매질가스의 종류 및 압력과 개리거리에 따른 함수로 규정된다. 반면, 직렬아크는 아직까지 명확한 해석방법이 제시되어있지 못하다. 본 논문에서는 직류 차단기에서 발생하는 직렬 차단 아크의 촉발과 지속적인 발생, 소호에 대한 특성을 분석하여 3가지 특성을 기반으로 하는 직렬 차단아크전류 모델을 제안하고 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • A power distribution facility map is composed of distribution facility information regions, cadastral regions and grid lines. In this map, our goal is automatic interpretation of power distribution region. For the goal, it is the first work to extract the power distribution facility region. In this paper, we propose a method to extract power distribution facility regions. The proposed method is consist of two phases, binarization phase and extending phase. The first phase generate a power distribution facility image using threshold value. The image contains many part of power distribution facility regions, but not all. The second phase extends thinned image which is generated by appling thinning operator to the power distribution facility image.

  • KODAS is made up of the Central Control System(CCS) as four Vax workstations linked up with LAN networks, six Substation Communication Control Units(SCCU) installed in substation to transfer data, 125 Feeder Remote Units(FRU) located at the lower position of automated switch to provide the information of Fault Indicator(FI) and three kinds of automated switches to have remote control functions such as SF6 gas feeder automation switch, recloser and gas insulated pad mountes switchgear for under ground line. This paper explains the functions and characteristics in detail about each devices mentioned above.

  • Distribution system reliability evaluation estimates by approach methods such as Makove modelling or Monte Carlo simulation, equation of state and failure rate that is on one basic data used to these assessment technique is described as probability of average value. because average failure rate equipment device is aged as time goes by but there is shortcoming that such used failure rate does not evaluate thing which is correct in reliability change hereafter. In this paper, failure rate displayed that apply aging to basis equipment device by passing time using Weibull distribution one of life evaluation method and for express aging of component from utility's failure database.

  • 본 논문은 분산전원이 기존의 배전계통상에 도입되는 경우에 대하여 전압변동해석을 수행하기 위해 제주 성산 변전소를 선정하여 MATLAB 프로그램을 이용하여 시뮬레이션 및 전압변동사항을 모의 분석하였고, 실제로 제주 행원풍력설비에서 발생하는 전압, 전류 고조파를 50조파까지 측정하여 전압 및 전류고조파 왜형률에 대한 분석을 시행하였다.
