  • Right hand circularly polarized Ka band microstrip patch array antenna was designed, manufacture and measurement were carried out. In order to lower axial ratio performance sequential rotation array technique was used. With mono-pulse feed There are sum and delta channel. Waveguide to microstrip transition was used. The 512 array antenna was performed which axial ratio is about 1.ldB in the half power beam width and also 1.ldB at the normal direction. Directivity gain of designed antenna is 32dB.

  • Two planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) arrays are proposed as an alternative model to generate input and radiation characteristics of two orthogonal oriented circular loops, which has polarization diversity, but inherent mechanical instability of two orthogonal loops, in particular, in installation and operation conditions. Two $1\times2$ PIFA sub-arrays are orthogonally placed on a ground plane and two different feeding networks are applied to control horizontal and vertical radiation current flows for each sub-array, respectively. Equivalence of scattering parameters and radiation patterns between two antennas are validated by the available commercial simulator.

  • In this paper, four-element MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) antenna operating at 5.2GHz and 5.8GHz is proposed. Each antenna element is fabricated by using inverted-L type and the isolation characteristic among antenna elements is adjusted by the distance between radiation element and ground. The designed array antenna has the impedance bandwidth at 5.15$\sim$5.35 and 5.725$\sim$5.825GHz for VSWR$\leq$3 and the isolation characteristic less than -20dB at same frequency.

  • 본 논문에서는 Ku-밴드의 마이크로파 대역에서 위상배열 안테나에 사용 가능한 결합선로를 이용하여 위상천이기에서 기존에 고려하지 않았던 주파수에 따른 분산특성을 전파(Full-wave) 해석방법인 SDA(Spectral Domain Approach)를 사용하여 정확히 해석하였다. 또한 비대칭 결합선로를 사용하는 위상천이와 유전치 덮개층이 부가된 위상천이기의 설계를 제안하였다. 현재 사용되고 있는 대칭 결합선로를 이용한 쉬프만 위상천이기와 비교하여, 이에 대한 위상응답의 특성변화에서 통과대역의 위상편차가 줄고 대역폭이 확대되어 광대역 특성이 개선되는 것을 이론적으로 해석하고 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

위성통신을 위한 K- 벤드용 배열 안테나 설계 (Design of K-band Array Antenna for Satellite Communications)

  • In this paper, $2{\times}4$ microstrip patch antenna are proposed to implement K-band satellite communications. The microstrip feed line are inset into the radiation patch to match input impedance. Also the same current in each elements are excited by Kirchhoff's low. The elements distance of proposed array antenna are optimized $0.8{\lambda}_g$ to minimize a mutual coupling and maximize a gain. A power divider network are employed to distribute T-junction divider. As result, the proposed antenna get gain of 14[dBi] at 10.525[GHz].

용량 조정형 능동 집적 배열 안테나의 제작과 방사 방향 주사 특성 (Fabrication of the Capacitance Controlled Active Integrated Phased Array Antenna and It's Scanning Characteristics)

  • This paper deals with extending the variable natural oscillation frequency range of an active integrated FET oscillator. In this paper, we conform experimentally that the variable range of the natural oscillation frequency is expanded about three times in the oscillator controlled by the varactor diode. When the frequency difference is given to the oscillators in the two element antenna system, phase difference appeared between the oscillators. The 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-element patch antenna arrays are composed for the beam scanning experiments. All the above patch antennas show good phased array characteristics. The range of the scanning angle is about $30^{\circ}$, and the radiation power is gradually increased from $50{\mu}W\;to\;200{\mu}W$. The radiation patterns we sharpened as the number of elements is increased.

전송선로로 결합된 능동 위상차배열 안테나의 동작특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Studies on the Performance of the Active Phased-Array. Antenna Coupled by Transmission Line)

  • In order to increase the coupling efficiency of the Power and Phase of the active Phase way antenna, we have fabricated the active phased-array antenna which is coupled by the transmission line, and investigated the relationship between the length of the coupling transmission line and coupling power and phase. The following three types of driving method -(1) giving the frequency difference between the two active antenna, (2) applying the input signal to the one side of the two antennas, and changing the eigen frequency of the other side antenna, (3) appling the different phase inputs to the active antennas was investigated. The experimental results showed that the interval of the antenna elements has not affected the power and the phase of the antenna.

위상차 배열 안테나용 BSCT 세라믹스의 유전특성 (Dielectric Properties of BSCT Ceramics for Phase Array Antenna)

  • (Ba$\sub$0.6-x/Sr$\sub$0.4/Ca$\sub$x/)TiO$_3$(x=0.10, 0.15, 0.20) specimens were fabricated by the solid state reaction method and then the structural and dielectric properties as a function of the composition ratio and sintering temperature were studied. The BSCT(50/40/10) specimen sintered at 1500$^{\circ}C$ showed the highest average grain size(18.25 ${\mu}$m). The Curie temperature and dielectric constant at room temperature decreased with increasing Ca content. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the BSCT(50/40/10) specimen, sintered at 1450$^{\circ}C$, were about 4324 and 0.972% at 1KHz, respectively. Dielectric constant at room temperature decreased with increasing an applied field, tunability of the BSCT(50/40/10) sintered at 1300$^{\circ}C$ was 18%.

  • In this paper, we present theoretical designs for a beam steering phased array antenna that uses a true time delay optical feeder. A variable true time delay is achieved by employing one tunable laser source and high dispersion fibers with different length. The wavelength tunable optical carrier propagation in a high-dipersion fiber realizes a true time delay, with the steering direction set by a single voltage controlling the wavelength. Beamsteering of a phased array antenna is obtained by controlling the tunable laser source. An employment of a high dispersion fiber response shows wide-band operation of beem steering antenna system.

  • Adaptive array antenas have emerged as a useful technique to enhance the cell capacity of mobile communications. In this research, to analyze the noncoherent CDMA systems employing adaptive array antennas, we modeled the transmitting signal of CDMA systems using M-ary orthogonal modulation. And we induced the conditional probability density function about the decision variable, the output of 2D-RAKE receiver and mean symbol error prabability through statistical analysis about MAI(Multiple Access Interference), SI(Self Interference) and Noise. Also, we analyzed the charateristics of adaptive array antenna for noncoherent CDMA systems using M-ary orthogonal modulation according to the distance between the array elements, doppler frequency and AOS(Angle of Spread).
