The expression of natural backgrounds in a digital clip such as forest, water and sky break new ground and evolve. The process of arriving at a certain background style and designing belongs to the pre-production stage of animation produuction. Due to the advancement of CG technology, the production and consumption of animation has accelerated and so in an effort to reduce production time, the natural background has increasingly becomme normalised. For the distinction in contents, narrative and characters are emphasized in pre-production since it is believed that the background design will simply be a still image. However, there is a need to focus on background design as it is a tool that can effectively emphasize the narrative. This research is an analysis of the background design's role in forest background in productions such as "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland"(1951) and "Princess Mononoke"(1997). It details how appropriate each background forest was for the artist's intent using the 7 types of forest landscapes according to dendrology.

With explosive growth of Internet users, the market share of electronic commerce becomes wider. Therefore the Internet is standing in the spotlight of a new medium of advertisement, and several Internet advertising methods have been implemented. However the banner advertising that is the typical internet advertising method is showing low click rate because of user's unconcern. Accordingly we propose a new Internet advertising method that makes expose advertising content on the background of web browser when user puts mouse pointer over a specified text. Internet users are willing to click a interesting text, just at that moment the advertising content is appeared on the background of web browser. Therefore we could expect high effectiveness of advertising and moreover after clicking the text, the advertising content is shown continually on the web browser. The proposed method, unlike banner advertising, various shapes of image can be applied and makes use of whole background of web page.

본 논문은 도로상에 고정된 카메라의 영상에 들어오는 여러 대의 차량을 추적(tracking)하기 위한 시스템에 대하여 연구하고자 한다. 제안된 차량 추적 시스템은 주변 환경 변화에 따른 배경 이미지 처리를 위하여 적응적 배경 모델(Adaptive Background Model)을 이용한 배경 영상과 연속되어 들어오는 입력 영상과의 차 영상을 이용한 차량 추출 부분과 칼만 필터를 이용하여 효과적으로 위치를 추적하기 위한 차량 추적 단계로 나누어 진다.

In first-person perspective training system, the users needs realistic experience. For providing this experience, the system should offer the users virtual and real images at the same time. We propose an automatic a persons's arm segmentation and image composition method. It consists of arm segmentation part and image composition part. Arm segmentation uses an arbitrary image as input and outputs arm segment or alpha matte. It enables end-to-end learning because we make use of FCN in this part. Image composition part conducts image combination between the result of arm segmentation and other image like road, building, etc. To train the network in arm segmentation, we used arm images through dividing the videos that we took ourselves for the training data.

This study analysed motion graphic formative image composition of TV LED backdrop to be used as background display for performers such as singers appeared on TV music show. Motion graphic LED images are comprised of various plane figures, and backdrop's design function as background screen has a goal to convey synesthesia and sensibility of visual elements. And this analyse classified sensibility concept about color, motion direction and speed to be elements of transmitting sensibility. As the analyse of graphic form among transmitting sensibility elements, this classified form type into its' applied elements, and studied how these elements' motion pattern and arrangement could be placed and replaced at song's four step composition, intro, verse, bridge, chorus part, and also characterized differences of backdrop design for male and female performers. As a case study, it included terrestial broadcasting TV song ranking shows targeted at teenagers. Because they carried out various motion design utilizations. Finally, this reasoned out mainly designing form type, its' applied elements, motion pattern and its' arrangements type division according to the song developing four steps.

This paper presents a panoramic reference image generation based automatic algorithm for moving objects detection robust to illumination variations under moving camera. Background image is generated by rotating the fixed the camera on the tripod horizontally. aligning and reorganizing this images. In generation of the cylindrical panoramic image, most of previous works assume the static environment. We propose the method to generating the panoramic reference image from dynamic environments in this paper. We develop an efficient approach for panoramic reference image generation by using accumulated edge map as well as method of edge matching between input image and background image. We applied the proposed algorithm to real image sequences. The experimental results show that panoramic reference image generation robust to illumination variations can be possible using the proposed method.

딥러닝 기반의 영상 분석 방법들은 많은 양의 학습 데이터가 필요하며, 학습 데이터 구축에는 많은 시간과 노력이 소요된다. 특히 객체 검출 분야의 경우 영상 내 객체의 위치, 크기, 범주 등의 정보가 모두 필요하여 학습 데이터 구축에 더 많은 어려움이 있으며, 이를 해결하기 위해 최근 이미지 합성기반 데이터 증강에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이미지 합성기반 데이터 증강 방법은 배경 영상에 객체를 합성할 때 객체와 배경 영상이 접한 영역에서 아티팩트(Artifact)가 발생하며, 이는 객체 검출 모델이 아티팩트를 객체의 특징으로 모델링하여 검출 성능이 저하되는 원인이 된다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 양방향 필터 기반의 이미지 합성 방법을 제안하고, 단일 단계 검출의 대표적인 방법인 RetinaNet을 이용하여 이미지 합성기반 데이터 증강 방법의 성능을 분석하였다. 공개 데이터셋에 대한 실험 결과 본 논문에서 사용한 단일 검출 방법 및 데이터 증강 기법을 사용하면 더 적은 양의 증강 데이터로 기존 방법과 동일한 성능을 보여주는 것을 확인하였다.

본 연구에서는 고향의 개념을 의미론적 측면과 지리학적 입장에서 정의하고, 한국 사람들이 고향이라고 지칭하는 고향의 공간적 대상, 고향에 대한 감정과 선호, 고향의 지리적 특징 및 이미지 등을 조사하여, 이를 중심으로 한국인의 고향에 대한 애착의 본질과 정서(ethos)를 밝히려 하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국인의 고향에 대한 애착은 본질적으로 고향 의식과 회귀본능과 같은 고향에 대한 인류의 보편적 정서로부터 나온 것이다. 둘째. 이러한 보편적 정서 위에 한국의 사회적 배경에서 나오는 고유한 고향의식이 첨가되었다. 사회적 배경에서 발생된 고향에 대한 강한 애착은 효에 근본을 둔 유교적 전통, 남북분단, 도시화에 따른 광범위한 실향의 결과에 의해서 형성된 정서라고 볼수 있다. 섯째, 고향이미지는 이러한 한국의 정서를 반영하고 있으며, 자연환경적, 인문환경적, 감각적 요소가 모두 수렴된 전형적이며, 추상화된 유형으로 나타난다. 넛째, 한국인의 고향에 대한 정서는 인간의 본성으로부터 나오는 보편적 정서와 대체로는 일치하지만 개인이나 집단의 인구.사회적 배경과 공간적 체험에 따라 다른 것으로 나타났다.

영상 혹은 이미지 내에서 특정 물체를 검출하기 위한 일반적인 방법으로 비올라 존스(Viola-Jones) 알고리즘을 많이 사용하고 있으나 이 방법은 배경의 픽셀이 거의 동일한 값일 때에는 매우 높은 검출률을 보이는 반면 다양한 배경과 물체가 복합적으로 이루어져 있는 이미지의 경우에는 물체 검출 시 오인식 할 가능성이 매우 높다. 이러한 단점들은 얼굴 인식 시스템을 개발함에 있어 매우 불리하게 적용될 수 있는데, 본 연구는 얼굴인식 출입통제 시스템을 개발하는 과정에서 발생하는 이러한 문제점을 보완하기 위하여 비올라 존스 알고리즘에서 이용되는 하 라이크 피춰(Harr-like feature)에 새로운 형태의 사각 특징(Rectangular feature) 및 분산 특징(Varience feature) 추가하여 복잡한 배경에서도 물체 검출 성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법을 제안한다.
