Chloride Diffusion Properties of Concrete with Corrosion Inhibitor (방청제를 함유한 콘크리트의 염소 이온 확산 특성)

  • Recently, the degradation of reinforced concrete structures due to physical and chemical attack has been a major issue in construction engineering. One of the main causes of degradation of concrete structures can be ascribed to chloride-induced corrosion, i.e., the rapid penetration of chloride ions into concrete. To estimate durability of reinforced concrete structures exposed to marine environment, many different kinds of accelerated tests to evaluate the concrete diffusivity were proposed. In this study, present test methods are reviewed and a proper test method for concrete is selected. The diffusion coefficients of concrete with corrosion inhibitor are measured using the proposed method, and then, measured values are compared to those of concrete without corrosion inhibitor. It is found from experimental results that diffusion coefficient re decreased with curing ages.

  • The corrosion protection methods of reinforcing steel in concrete are the various methods such as increasing thickness of cover concrete, using of reinforcing bars coated with epoxy, dosage of corrosion inhibitor as concrete admixture, cathodic protection method and etc. The most economical method of them will be the corrosion protection method using corrosion inhibitor as concrete admixture. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate the performance of corrosion protection of ordinary strength and high strength concrete using corrosion inhibitor, respectively. For this purpose, after manufacturing ordinary strength and high strength concrete with and without corrosion inhibitor, the accelerated corrosion tests for reinforcing steel were conducted according to the periodic cycles (140 day) of wetting ($65^{\circ}C$, 90% R.H.) and drying period ($15^{\circ}C$, 65% R.H.). As a result, th high strength concrete using corrosion inhibitor showed an excellent performance of corrosion protection.

Characteristics of Polyaniline Anti-Corrosive Coatings with Primer and Top Coating Resins (하도 및 상도 수지에 따른 폴리아닐린 방청도료의 특성)

  • Characteristics of polyaniline anti-corrosive coatings with various primer coating resins(epoxy resin, urethane resin, and others) and top coating resins(epoxy and acrylic urethane resins) were investigated through adhesion, acid resistance, alkaline resistance, water resistance, and anti-corrosion tests. As a result, the anti-corrosive properties of the prepared coatings using polyaniline varied with the types of primer and top coating resins. In this condition, the properties of adhesion, chemical resistance, and water resistance were found to be very satisfactory when using emeraldine base (EB) of polyaniline blended with single-packaged urethane and acrylic urethane resins as the primer coatings, and using acrylic urethane resin as the top coatings. Also, the anti-corrosive function of these anti-corrosive coatings was well preserved for 1000 hr in the salt spray experiment.

  • 공작기계 가동시 윤활과 냉각 등의 목적으로 다양한 종류의 금속가공유 (MWFs : 절삭유, 윤활유, 방청유 둥)를 사용하고 있다. MWFs에는 포름알데히드, 니트로스아민, 염화파라핀 등의 발암물질이 포함되어 있는 것으로 알려져 있어 작업자 건강보호를 위해 효율적인 환기가 요구되고 있다. 현장에서 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 포켓 필터형 오일미스트 콜렉터는 제진 장치가 없기 때문에 필터 표면에 한번 부착된 오일 미스트와 먼지가 떨어지지 않기 때문에 일정시간 후 필터 표면에 막힘 현상이 발생한다. 필터 표면이 막히면 차압 증가와 함께 송풍량이 감소하기 때문에 미스트 제거 효율이 크게 저하되고, 결과적으로 오일미스트의 환기 효율이 크게 감소된다.(중략)

  • 본 연구에서는 인산-망간 피막처리 공정 중에 생성되는 슬러지를 방지하기 위하여 인산-망간 화성처리액에 유기첨가제인 Tartaric acid를 첨가하여 내마모성 및 방청성 향상을 목적으로 슬러지를 방지하기 위한 인산-망간 화성피막의 특성을 연구하였다. Tartaric acid의 농도에 따른 표면 Morphology를 Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)과 Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS)을 이용하여 분석하였으며, EDS 분석을 통해 Mn, P, Fe, O, C의 성분을 확인 할 수 있었으며, 인산-망간 화성피막의 상(phase)을 확인하기 위하여 X-ray diffraction (XRD)을 분석을 통하여 $(Mn,Fe)_5H_2(PO_4)_44H_2O$으로 구성된 인산-망간 화성피막을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 Tartaric acid의 농도에 따른 인산-망간 피막의 내마모 시험(Ball on disc) 및 경도시험을 실시하여 기계적인 특성 및 슬러지의 양에 대하여 분석하였다.

  • In the case of construction under the marine environment the durability of concrete structures is everely deteriorated by the penetration of salts which results in the corrosion of reinforcing steel. To verify the effect of corrosion protection of reinforcing steel by isolating the penetration of chlorideion this study investigated the bond strength between painting material and concrete, the degree of the penetration-diffusion of chloride ion and the accelerated corrosion test using different potential. Results show that the painted concrete has little the penetration-diffusion of cholride and the reinforcing steel in painted concrete is little corroding.

  • The study was carried out to evaluate material characteristics and environmental effects of anti-corrosion inhibitor which is known to be very easy to use, since the admixture is added during concrete mixing. Specimens were fabricate with 6 different dosages of anti-corrosion inhibitor and cured in the autoclave chamber with different number of cycles. As a result of measuring corrosion of reinforcing bars embedded in concrete, it was found that even small amount of admixture application can prevent reinforcing bars from corrosion and the efficiency is gradually decreased with increase of the number of autoclave cycles and of percentage of chloride content. In addition, the admixture will not affect material characteristics such as compressive strength and air content.

  • Recently, large scale concrete structures exposed to severe environment are increasingly built in various locations. The corrosion may severely affect the durability and service life of such a concrete structure. It is therefore, necessary to develop a method to enhance the corrosion resistance of a concrete. And the purpose of this study is to evaluate the characteristics of anti-corrosion polymer cement coated rebar. The corrosion resistance of a concrete with anti-corrosion coating can be identified through accelerated corrosion test. And the bond strength test of a concrete using anti-corrosion coating was also carried out.

Evaluation of the Corrosion Protection Coating in Accordance with Burn Damage (Burn Damage에 따른 도막의 방청성 평가)

  • This study was conducted in order to examine the effect of burn damage and the resultant anti-corrosion performance. The breakdown and defect of the paint film caused by burn damage are considered to affect not only the macroscopic appearance but also the adhesive force and the anti-corrosion performance of the paint film. The material of the paint film was epoxy paint that is used most widely for heavy-duty coating, and in order to induce burn damage, heat treatment with a torch was applied to the other side of the paint film. Surface and chemical structure changes according to aging were analyzed using FE-SEM and infrared absorption spectroscopy, and variation in the anti-corrosion performance was analyzed through the AC impedance test.

세라믹 나노코팅에 의한 목재의 난연성능 연구

  • 나노입자에 의한 세라믹 코팅은 제품의 방청, 내식, 내마모성을 향상시킬 뿐만 아니라 내열성을 향상시키는 데에도 효과적인 성능을 보이고 있다. 특히 지르코니아(YSZ), 산화알루미늄($Al_2O_3$), 이산화 타이타늄($TiO_2$) 등과 같이 차열 성능이 우수한 세라믹 계열을 이용한 TBC(Thermal Barrier Coating)은 이미 항공기 엔진부품이나 고성능 베어링과 같이 고온에서도 우수한 성능을 유지해야 하는 기계부품에 보편적으로 사용되어 오고 있는 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 차열서능이 우수한 세라믹 소재를 이용해 건축물에 많이 사용되고 있는 목재에 난연성능의 향상을 목적으로 세라믹 나노코팅을 하였을 때 목재의 연소특성이 어떻게 변화하는가를 관찰 및 분석하였다.
