국내 농약의 소비는 최근들어 해마다 증가양상을 보여 농업에서 농약의 일반화는 농약의 중독 및 식품의 오염, 자연생태의 파괴등 자연환경에 미치는 영향에 관해 많은 우려의 대상이 되어가고 있다. 그동안 농약사용에서 야기되는 각종 사고를 방지하기 위하여 행정$cdot$지도계통에서 많은 노력을 해왔으나 아직까지 농약을 소홀히 다루는 경향이 많아 농촌진흥청 시험결과를 소개한다.

We sometimes directed taking medicine by using decoction of Jujubae Fructus in taking herbs medicine. And I studied meaning on using decoction of Jujubae Fructus in taking herbs medicine. The obtained results were follows: 1. In taking medicine by using decoction of Jujubae Fructus, chief effect positions of that prescription were heart, spleen, stomach, and kidney. 2. In taking medicine by using decoction of Jujubae Fructus, chief treatment symptoms were heart throb, sleeplessness, reddish turbid urine, retention of phlegm and fluid, retention of fluid in the body, weakness. 3. In taking medicine by using decoction of Jujubae Fructus, chief pathogenic factors of that prescription were deficiency syndroms of the heart, retention of phlegm and fluid, retention of fluid in the body, consumptive disease, weakness.

쥐는 옛부터 인류와 역사를 같이 하면서 사람에게 도움을 주었다는 일화도 많지만 사람들이 먹을 양식을 없애는 등 인간을 괴롭혀온 존재이기도 하다. 그래서인지 옛풍습에도 쥐를 잡아 없애기 위해 음력 정월 첫번째 자일(子日)에 농가에서는 ''쥐복이''라 하여 쥐를 복아 죽인다는 뜻으로 콩을 볶는 풍습이 있는가 하면, 정월 보름에는 쥐를 쫓는 뜻에서 쥐불놀이를 하여 논밭두렁에 불을 지르고 고함을 질러 쥐가 놀래 멀리 도망치게 하는 풍습도 있는 것이다. 이런 옛풍습을 보더라도 쥐를 없애기에 무던히도 고심하였던 것이 역력히 나타나며 우리 생활에 얼마나 많은 피해를 주었는지 재삼 말하지 않아도 알 수 있을 것이다.

As a part of studies on the quality control of crude drug preparation drinks, ginseng saponins were identified by HPLC. Ginsenoside-Rb1 was determined quantitatively by HPLC. Ginsenoside MeOH/H2O(65:35:10, v/v) on Si-gel plate. Ginsenoside-Rb1 content determined by HPLC on Lichrosorbtract drinks was 57.5-70.4% compared to the content in the red ginseng extract.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the antioxidant effects of the extract of Rubi Fructus on TM4 Sertoli cells. Methods : The extract was studied for diphenyl-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity and cell viability assays on Sertoli cells. In addition, hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative stress on Sertoli cells were examined by MTT assay. The antioxidant enzyme of Cu/Zn SOD, Mn SOD, catalase protein expression on Sertoli cells were also measured. Results : The results showed that the extract scavenged DPPH radical dose-dependent manner. The extract showed no cytotoxicity at concentration of 1, 5, 10, 50, $100{\mu}g/ml$. The hydrogen peroxide-induced cytotoxicity of Sertoli cells was protected to 88.3% by the extract at concentration of $100{\mu}g/ml$. Cu/Zn SOD and Mn SOD protein expression were significantly increased on Sertoli cells, but catalase protein expression was not significantly changed. Conclusions : In conclusion, the extract of Rubi Fructus has antioxidant effects on Sertoli cells and protect male reproductive system against oxidative stress.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to analyze effectiveness of herbal medicine treatment on Dry Eye Syndrome. Methods : We analyze medical records of 114 patients who visited Indara oriental medical clinic for dry eye syndrome. Patients were treated with acupuncture and Inmok-tang, and the ocular surface disease index was evaluated before and after treatment. Results : Analysis of 114 medical records showed a significant decrease in the pre-treatment and post-treatment ocular surface disease index, and a statistically significant positive correlation between the duration of Inmok-tang administration and the change in the ocular surface disease index. Conclusions : Herbal medicine treatment with Inmok-tang reduces the Ocular Surface Disease Index, an indicator of subjective symptoms of dry eye syndrome.

As a part of studios on the Quality control of index components in crude drug preparations, extraction yields of ginseng saponins from crude drug extracts were identified by TLC and quantified by HPLC. So-Shi-Ho-Tang(小柴胡湯), Sa-Kun-Ja-Tang(四君子湯), Yook-Kun-Ja-Tang(六君子湯) and In-sam-Tang(人蔘湯) were extracted with water, 30%-ethanol, 50%-ethanol, 80%-ethanol and absolute ethanol to analyze ginseng saponins in the crude drug extracts prepared with various concentrations of ethanol. Ginseng saponins were extracted considerably more from the extracts with higher concentrations of ethanol than those with water or lower concentrations of ethanol. Extraction yields of ginseng-side-Rb$_1$, -Rb$_2$ and -R$_c$ from four crude drug preparations were the lowest as 4.9~45.9%, 5.0~40.1, and 6.3~43.7% in water extract and the highest as 29.5~62.6%, 26.7~61.4% and 31.4~62.0% in absolute ethanol extract, compared with those of 80%-methanol extracts.

새로운 문제해충을 찾아내려면 작물별로 전국적인 survey가 이루어져야 한다. 인력과 경비면 그리고 수행상의 어려움이 있으므로 경작자나 그 지역의 농촌지도소를 통하여 문의.의뢰된 해충들을 살펴보면 그 해의 대체적인 해충발생상황을 알아볼 수 있다고 생각된다. 농업기술연구소 곤충과에는 1988년 40건의 민원과 의뢰사항이 접수.처리되었다(표 1). 그중 해충동정 및 방제법에 대한 것이 31건, 현지발생행동조사 의뢰 3건, 해충관계자료에 대한 문의가 3건 등이었다. 접수된 민원중에서 일부를 제외하고 각 해충의 발생상황을 작물별로 기술하여 기록을 남김으로서 금후 연구를 의한 기초 자료로 제공코자한다.
