A Study on Frequency-Modulated Methods for Reducing Acoustic Resonance in HID Lamp (고압방전램프의 음향공명감소를 위한 주파수변조에 관한 연구)

  • HID(high intensity discharge)lamps are high pressure mercury lamp, high pressure sodium lamp and metalhalide lamp. metalhalide lamp among these lamps has considered to be one of the most effective artificial light sources and this lamp has good efficiency, good color rendition and good focusing capability, But the shortcorning of metalhalide lamp is known as acoustic resonance phenomena in the discharge tube when lighted by electronic ballast and then acoustic resonance cause various problems such as the arc instability, light output fluctuations. In this paper, to reduce the acoustic resonence phenomena, the electronic ballast was designed by three methods for high frequency operation wish frequency-modulated sinusodial waves in acoustic resonance frequency band. These frequency-modulated methods are resonance frequency and resonance frequency, resonance frequency and non-resonance frequency non-resonance frequency and non-resonance frequency Experiment results could't show the Presence of acoustic resonance visually and it proved that the resonance-generating conditions can be avoided by continuously changing the two operating frequencies in acoustic resonance band (20.59kHz∼94.2kHz).

Numerical Analysis of the Discharge and Luminous Characteristics of a Planar Type Xe Plasma Flat Lamp (대향형 Xe 플라즈마 평판 램프의 방전 및 발광 특성에 관한 수치적 연구)

  • A Xe plasma flat lamp, which has been noticed as a new eco-friendly LCD (liquid crystal display) backlight, requires the improvement of the luminance and the luminous efficiency although it has several advantages. To improve the performance of a lamp, it is necessary to understand the effects of discharge variables on the luminous characteristics of the lamp. Since it is difficult to diagnose a lamp discharge experimentally, the numerical analysis can be used instead. In this study, the luminous characteristics of a planar type Xe plasma flat lamp were analyzed with the variation of an input voltage and a pulse frequency. The numerical analysis of a lamp discharge was then performed using a RCT (relaxation continuum) model and a LFA (local field approximation) model. The comparison with the experimental results showed that the RCT model is valid for the numerical analysis of the flat lamp. The numerical analysis also showed that the modifications of a high frequency component and a voltage falling rate in the input voltage waveform could improve the luminous characteristics of the lamp.

가스산업시설에서의 위험성 평가분야에서 지리정보시스템의 적용

  • 우리나라는 그동안 가스산업에서 고속성장을 이룩해 왔으나, 근래에는 중대가스산업사고가 빈번하게 일어나고 있다. 그건 이유로 1996년도에는 중대산업사고 예방제도가 전면적으로 실시되고 공정안전보고서를 작성하여 제출하도록 함으로서 위험성 평가의 중요성이 점차 높아가고 있으며, 위험성 평가 기법들에 대하여 여러 연구 단체에서 연구ㆍ시도되고 있다. 또한 이러한 연구ㆍ보고된 위험성 평가 기법들을 프로그램화하고 적용하려는 시도가 많이 있어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 기존에 연구ㆍ개발된 위험성 평가 기법들에 최근 컴퓨터 산업의 발달에 힘입어 각광을 받고 있는 지리정보시스템을 적용하고자 한다. 이러한 가스산업시설의 위험성 평가 시스템은 위험성을 평가하기 위해서 필요한 여러 가지 정보들을 지리정보시스템이 속성 데이터로서 저장하고 있으나, 가스산업시설에 관련된 주변의 도면들을 공간 데이터로서 저장하고 있다. 그리고 위험성 평가 시스템의 세부적인 기능을 모듈화하였다. 우선 위에 언급한 속성 데이터와 공간 데이터를 관리하는 모듈과 이러한 데이터를 가지고 사고영향 범위를 산출해내기 위한 모듈, 그리고 산출된 사고 영향 범위를 도면에 나타내는 모듈로 나뉘어져 있다. 이렇게 지리정보시스템에 구축되어 있는 도면에 위험성을 평가한 결과치를 나타냄으로서 위험성 평가 숙련자가 아니더라도 위험성 평가를 할 수 있고 결과를 분석하도록 도와 줄 수 있도록 할 수 있다. 또한 향후 재난관리시스템에서는 도면상의 도로에 교통량 가중치와 인근 소방서와 경찰서등의 위치를 관리하도록 지리정보시스템을 적용할 수 있으면, 가스시설물 관리시스템에서는 최근 대형가스사고의 대부분이 타공사에 의한 것임을 고려하여 가스배관망을 포함하여 기타 다른 지하배관망을 관리하도록 지리정보시스템을 적용할 수 있다. (중략)램프에서 좋은 광학적 특성을 얻기 위해 가장 중요한 것은 수축이 없이 방전을 확산시키는 것이다. 이를 위해서 램프구조와 구동법을 최적화하는 것이 필요하다. 또한 기체압력을 높임으로서 Xe의 여기복사를 얻을 수 있었다. 동시에 새로운 적용영역의 가능성을 탐구하는데 있다 하겠다.[C/N]의 값을 나타내었다.다.다.화 기술, 구동방법등에 대한 기술개요와 국내외 기술동향에 대하여 소개하고자 한다.었다.다._{2}$가 0.25[wt%] 첨가된 시편의 20[.deg.C]에서의 유전상수는 16,700으로 최대값을 유전손실을 1.28[%]로 최소값을 나타내었다. 또한 모든 시편은 온도 및 주파수에 따라 유전상수가 완만하게 변화하는 유전이완 특성을 나타내었다.다.수적인 물의 양에 따른 DIAION WA30의 라세미화 효율에 관하여 실험한 결과, 물의 양이 증가할수록 그 효율은 감소하였다. DIAION WA30을 라세미화 촉매로 사용하여 아이소옥탄 내에서 라세믹 나프록센 2,2,2-트리플로로에틸 씨오에스터의 효소적 DKR 반응을 수행해 보았다. 그 결과 DIAION WA30을 사용하지 않은 경우에 비해 반응 전환율과 생성물의 광학 순도는 급격히 향상되었다. 전통적 광학분할 반응의 최대 50%라는 전환율의 제한이 본 연구에서 찾은 DIAION WA30을 첨가함으로써 성공적으로 극복되었다. 또한 고체 염기촉매인 DIAION WA30의 사용은 라세미화 촉매의 회수 및 재사용이 가능하게 해준다.해준다.다. Design Procedure of the Inverter for LCD Backlight using Piezoelectric Transformer (압전 변압기를 이용한 LCD 백라이트 구동용 인버터 설계 절차)

  • Optimal parameters were selected to design an inverter circuit that drives a cold cathode fluorescent lamp for LCD backlight using a piezoelectric transformer and it was verified by an experiment. In this paper, the applied inverter topologies are a push-pull type and a half-bridge type, and the dimming control methods of these drive system were used a analog control method and a burst control method each other. When change a control voltage from 2.5V to 4.5V in the analog control method, the brightness 0-100% was seen in current 1-6 mA. And, the input/output efficiency were obtained 90.3%. Also, the control performance of 1-6 mA was seen in duty ratio 5-50% in the burst control method, and the input/output efficiency of the designed inverter got 82.1%.

The Microwave-assisted Photocatalytic Degradation of Methylene Blue Solution Using TiO2 Balls Prepared by Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD법으로 제조된 산화티탄 볼과 마이크로웨이브를 이용한 메틸렌블루 수용액의 광촉매분해)

  • The photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue water solution was carried out by irradiating microwave and UV light simultaneously using $TiO_2$ photocatalyst balls prepared by Chemical Vapor Deposition method. A microwave-discharged electrodeless UV lamp was developed to use microwave and UV simultaneously for photocatalytic reactions. The results of photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue showed that the decomposition rate increased with the microwave intensity, the circulating fluid velocity and auxiliary oxidizing agents added. Especially, the rate constant of $H_2O_2$-added photocatalytic reaction increased about three times from $0.0061min^{-1}$ to $0.0197min^{-1}$ when microwave was additionally irradiated. This study demonstrates that the microwave irradiation can play a very important role in photocatalytic degradation using peroxides although it is not easy to quantitatively assess the effect of microwave on photocatalytic reactions from the experimental data of this study.

  • In this paper, a solar power emotional LED lightening street lamps with multi control sun tracker is presented. The proposed system has a multiple control sun tracking function and high quality emotional LED lamps. The system is designed to absorb maximum sun lights by temperature sensor and humidity sensor of control circuits. A battery charge-discharge controller is developed for high efficient usage of battery charger for utilization of new and renewal energy. An interface circuit for remote monitoring and controlling is included in the developed system. The proposed multi tracking solar power emotional LED street lamps is better than conventional systems in aspect of tracking operation and energy efficiency, and expected to be a leading model for next generation solar power street lamp system, because it is a new technology combining sun tracking solar power system and emotional lightening system.

Low-Cost LED Driver Circuit using Power Factor Compensation Capacitor of Discharge Lamp (방전램프의 역률 보상용 콘덴서를 이용한 저가형 LED 구동회로)

  • Now it's a trend to install a series of white fluorescent light and orange high pressure sodium lamps because tunnel lighting should be opaque to the safety of drivers from soot, dust, humidity, and fog. Also fluorescent lighting is replaced to LED due to the fact that it improves amenity and object recognition and LED lighting has gradually been improved its nature. In this paper, we have implemented the circuits of the yellow series of high-pressure sodium lamps and white series of LED lights at one board to improve the transparency and recognition of objects. It is possible for inductive high-pressure sodium lamps and the capacitive LED drivers to circuit without power factor compensation. Two circuit parts share only a small number of parts, so low cost LED drivers compared to conventional ones are possible. Therefore, the implementation of the hybrid lighting with high-pressure sodium lamps and LED lights that can be driven at the same time by one driving circuit is possible. The LED capacitive power factor was 0.91 while individually implemented the sodium lamp power factor was 0.98. It shows not only the 2% improvement of hybrid forms but also the efficiency and THD.

  • A Photovoltaic power streetlight is a system that uses solar energy to charge a secondary battery and then uses it for night lighting through a lamp, and can be configured as a standalone or grid-connected type by installing an LED streetlight at the load end. The energy generated through the solar cell module can be charged to the secondary battery through the charge/discharge control device, and then the LED street light can be turned on and off by comparing the power generation voltage and the charging voltage according to the monitoring of solar radiation, or by setting a specific time after sunset or sunrise. Based on these contents, this paper designed and manufactured a simulated solar power streetlight for education using new and renewable energy utilization and storage functions. Using these educational equipment, students can 1) understand the flow of energy change using renewable energy including sunlight as electric energy, 2) understand new and renewable energy, and cultivate basic design and manufacturing application power of related products, 3) The use of new and renewable energy through power conversion and strengthening of practical training and analysis through hardware production can be instilled.

Sterilizing and Deodorizing Effect of UV-Ray Air Cleaner for Refrigerator (자외선(紫外線) 공기(空氣) 청정기(淸淨機)의 냉장고(冷藏庫) 살균(殺菌) 탈취(脫臭) 효과(效果))

  • Ultara violet ray air cleaner to use as the sterilization and deodorization device in refrigerator was designed and made of UV lamp and carbon block as the main components. The intensity of the lamp was $2.38\;mW/cm^2$ and reflector was installed to increase the radation. After running the device for 12 hours, 80% of the population of airborn bacteria was sterilized both at 48 and 480 liter refrigerator chambers. Ozone production caused by UV-ray reached 0.082 ppm at holding section within a few second when the device was operated at $25^{\circ}C$ and it showed 0.06 pm at $3^{\circ}C$. Deodorization effect was 2.5 times greater than that of a device made of electrical are principle at $25^{\circ}C$. New device 2 times more effectivly decreased trimethylamine and methyl mercaptan content applied as odor indicator substance in chamber at $3^{\circ}C$ than electrical arc type.

The Effect of Initial pH and Dose of $TiO_2$ on Chloroform Removal in Photocatalytic Process using Compound Parabolic Concentrator Reactor System (CPCs를 이용한 $TiO_2$ 광촉매반응공정에서 초기 pH와 촉매농도가 클로로포름 분해에 미치는 영향)

  • To evaluate the solar photocatalytic degradation efficiency of chloroform in a real solar-light driven compound parabolic concentrators (CPCs) system, $TiO_2$ was irradiated with a metalhalide lamp (1000 W), which has a similar wavelength to sunlight. The results were applied to a pilot scale reactor system by converting the data to a standardized illumination time. In addition, the effects of initial pH and the $TiO_2$ dose on the photocatalytic degradation of chloroform were investigated. The results were compared with the specific surface area (S.S.A) and particle size of $TiO_2$, which changed according to the pH, to determine the relationship between the S.S.A, particle size and the photocatalytic degradation of chloroform. The experiment was carried out at pH 4~7 using 0.1, 0.2, 0.4 g/L of $TiO_2$. The particle size and specific surface area of $TiO_2$ were measured. There was no significant difference between the variables. However, pH affects the particle size distribution and specific surface area of $TiO_2$. Inaddition, the activation of a photocatalyst did not show a linear relationship with the specific surface area of $TiO_2$ in the photocatalytic degradation of chloroform.
