TV Program Writers' Copyright: Focusing on Writers of Informative TV Programs and TV Documentaries (구성다큐 방송작가의 저작권 인식과 제도 정착에 대한 연구)

  • This study aims to explore how the copyright for writers of informative TV programs and documentaries is protected in the reality of broadcasting. For this study, 12 writers and the head of copyright department of the Korea TV & Radio Writers Association were interviewed in depth for research. Our interview findings suggest that writers have worked without written agreement signed by some form of legally binding contract. Instead, they have made verbal contracts. Writers should be aware of the reality of copyrights and request to readjust of basic copywriting fee from the Writers Association and each broadcasting station.

  • This study looks into the differences between the two different genres of dramatic renditions on film- television dramas and movies, by studying the respective characteristics of screenplays for television and movies, and comparing the disparity in status between the powerful television drama writer and the powerless movie screenwriters as well as actual power structures within the Korean media industry. It explores the intensifying problems of high cost drama productions and poor treatment of screenwriters, as well as established practices in the movie and television industries so as to analyze problems comprehensively and seek balanced growth within these industries. The Hollywood screenwriting system is taken as a point of comparison in seeking solutions and exploring the direction that Korean film and television industries should take in the future.

  • Scriptwriters have appeared in Korea's broadcasting production system for more than 40 years as a key producer. This study specifically investigated the work identity and labor experience of scriptwriters who have played countless roles from planning and organizing programs in various broadcast genres such as non-drama informative program, entertainment, news, and radio to script writing. As a result of examining the work identity and labor experience of the scriptwriters based on the auto-ethnography of the 20 scriptwriters working in the field, they felt that they had an " indispensable" program producer and a media culture producer and at the same time felt that they were taking on tasks that were unclear. They felt that the cause of this inequality was a problem of the production system and employment type, but they recognized that they could not be solved individually, and they were developing their own skills or building connections to get work, and expanding their areas unconditionally.

  • 본 논문은 생성모델의 학습데이터 제작기법에 대한 실험 및 결과와 향후 관련 연구의 방향을 기술한다. GAN으로 대표되는 생성모델이 아티스트에게 얼마만큼의 만족도와 영감을 주는지를 비교 실험 및 평가하기 위해서는 정제된 학습데이터가 필요하다. 하지만 현실적으로 아티스트의 작품은 데이터 세트를 만들기에는 그 수가 적고 인공지능이 학습하기에도 정제되어있지 않다. 2차 가공작업을 통하여 아티스트의 원본 작업과 유사한 데이터 세트의 구축은 생성모델의 성능향상을 위해 매우 중요하다. 연구의 결과 생성모델이 표현하기 어려운 스타일의 작가 작품을 선정한 뒤 최적의 학습데이터를 만들기 위한 다양한 실험과 기법을 통해 구축한 데이터 세트를 생성모델 알고리즘에 적용하고 실험을 통해 창작자의 작품제작 의도인 작가 진술에 최대한 유사한 이미지의 생성과 더 나아가 작가가 생각하지 못했던 창조적 모방의 결과물을 도출하였고 작가평가를 통해 높은 만족도를 얻었다.

  • Gaming is a high value-added industry. In order to promote the gaming industry, there must be more scenario writers in the position of quality control. However, the reality in Korea is that there are not enough game scenario writers or work available. That is because traditional scenario writers cannot easily enter the game scenario field due to the unique techniques involved In game scenario writing, which differs from traditional film scenario work. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the unique skills and technicalities evident in game scenarios based upon theories studied so far. Hopefully, this thesis will give a better understanding of the significance of using game scenario writers to schools and companies.

  • 동일한 장면을 촬영해도 카메라 종류나 세팅에 따라 또 어떤 모니터나 프린터를 이용해 영상을 출력하느냐에 따라 결과 영상은 크게 달라진다. 다양한 미디어에서 작가가 의도한 색감을 정확히 표현하는 것이 미디어 아트에서 중요한 이슈인만큼 본 고에서는 영상 장비들이 색을 만드는 원리에 대해 살펴보고 장비들간에 색을 맞추는 기술들의 원리에 대해 간략히 소개하고자 한다.

  • 본래 대중문화는 그 자체로 '집단(Mass)'의 의미가 들어있다. 하나의 방송콘텐츠는 PD, 작가, 출연자와 방송 스텝들은 물론이고 관객들까지 참여함으로써 완성된다. 하지만 방송의 이런 집단 창작 시스템은 코로나19 같은 전 세계적인 감염병 유행 앞에서 유례없는 변화를 가져왔고, 쉽게 가라앉지 않는 감염병으로 랜선 콘서트, 라이브 뮤지컬 등 여러 언택트 시스템(Untact System)이 시도되어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 언택트 시스템(Untact System)의 도입으로 변화하는 방송에 대해 알아보고, 라이브 방송 시스템을 설계한다.[2]
