In this paper, we reported on a high performance waveguide VCO(voltage controlled oscillator) for FMCW applications. The waveguide VCO consists of a GaAs Gunn diode, a varactor diode, and two bias posts with low pass filter(LPF). The cavity is designed for fundamental mode at 47 GHz and operated at second harmonic of 94 GHz center frequency. The developed waveguide VCO has 1.095 GHz bandwidth, 590 MHz linearity with 1.69% and output power from 14.86 to 15.93 dBm. The phase noise is under -95 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset.

Using the electron microscopical method, this study was attempted to investigate the ultrastructural characteristics of glomeruli in FGS/Kist mice showing high proteinuria. The mucus-like substances were observed in glomerular capillary lumen which were usually narrowed by the widening of mesangial area filled with electron-dense deposits. Some portions of basal lamina in capillary wall were projecting to urinary space. Moreover, many vacuoles were observed in the cytoplasm of visceral epithelial cells, and an irregular-shaped fusion or effacement of foot processes were often shown in areas adjacent to basal lamina of glomeruli.

In study we analyze the network about the legislators in Korean National Assembly. We focused on 17th National Assembly since there were full of important changes in composition. Mutual cooperation is necessary to pass the bills beyond their given mission in legislation. In order to find out the relationship of legislators based on the introducing bills, total 5728 bills in 17th National Assembly, we used bipartite network projection. We can find who is a highly influential legislator and the difference between a ruling party and a main opposition party in aspects of cooperative behavior.

본 논문에서는 차량 추돌 방지 레이더용 24GHz 전압제어발진기를 제안한다. 제안한 회로는 TSMC $0.13-{\mu}m$ 고주파 CMOS 공정 ($f_T/f_{MAX}=120/140GHz$)으로 구현되어 있고, 1.5 볼트 전원전압에서 동작한다. 전체 칩 면적과 소비전력을 줄이기 위해 수동형 인덕터 대신 트랜지스터와 전류원으로 구성된 능동형 인덕터부를 사용하였다. 제작된 전압제어발진기는 기존 연구 결과에 비해 동작주파수에서 6.1mW의 낮은 소비전력 특성과 $0.06mm^2$의 매우 작은 칩 면적 특성을 보였다.

The effects of the addition of starch, salt and soda ash to the dough for Naengmyon (wheat-sweet potato starch) on the mechanical property of Naengmyon noodle were evaluated by using creep test. The strain measurement was made by taking photograph with VTR system. The creep curve of noodle strand could be fitted to the 4 element Burgers model. The instantaneous elasticity and Newtonian viscosity of the noodle strand decreased by the addition of starch. The instantaneous elasticity decreased by the addition of salt up to 4%. The mechamical parameters of the noodle varied inconsistently by the addition of soda ash.

In this paper, we developed a 94 GHz waveguide VCO(voltage controlled oscillator) using a GaAs-based Gunn diode and a varactor diode. The cavity is designed for fundamental mode at 47 GHz and operated at second harmonic of 94 GHz. Bias posts for diodes operate as LPF(low pass filter) and resonator. The fabricated waveguide VCO achieves an oscillation bandwidth of 760 MHz. Output power is from 12.61 to 15.26 dBm and phase noise is -101.13 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset frequency from the carrier.

This paper proposes the effective shape descriptor for 3D foot pose estimation. To reduce processing time, silhouette-based foot image database is built and meta information which involves the 3D pose of the foot is appended to the database. And we proposed a modified Centroid Contour Distance whose size of the feature space is small and performance of pose estimation is better than the others. In order to analyze performance of the descriptor, we evaluate time and spatial complexity with retrieval accuracy, and then compare with the previous methods. Experimental results show that the proposed descriptor is more effective than the previous methods on feature extraction time and pose estimation accuracy.

The emergences of Echinochloa glabrescens, Monochoria vaginalis, and Cyperus difformis seeds were little affected by fertilizer application. All shading treaments resulted in decrease in emergence of E. glabrescens, while shading up to 67% slightly stimulated emergence of M. vaginalis and C. difformis. The peak emergence of E. glabrescens was at two week after sowing in the full sunlight, 31, and 52% shading, but no peak emergence at the 67% shading. Emergence peaks of C. difformis were observed during 6 to 8 weeks after sowing for all shading levels employed.

This study aims to evaluate the effects of aromatherapy and a foot reflex massage program on the cognition, anxiety, aggressive behavior, and wandering behavior of elderly with dementia. The research design was a non-equivalent control group, quasi-experimental study where 43 subjects were divided into two groups. Aromatherapy and foot reflex massage was administered to the experimental group (N=21), and no treatment was administered to the control group (N=22). The data was analyzed using the ${\chi}^2$-test, t-test, while the repeated measures of ANOVA were utilized with the SPSS/Win 18.0 program. The experimental group did not show significant differences in cognitive function; however, it showed significant differences in anxiety, aggressive behavior, and wandering behavior in relation to the control group. Thus this research suggests aromatherapy and a foot reflex massage program as nursing intervention to improve the quality of life of elderly with dementia.

Effects of media and low temperature on germination of weeds were examined to get basic information for establishing weed control methods. Soil and agar(0.4%) was good media for germination of weeds at laboratory. Germination was improved by placing weed seeds at 5$^{\circ}C$ low temperature for 10-20 days. Germination was improved by storing weed seeds in water absorbed gauge and in vinylbag at 5$^{\circ}C$ low temperature for 30-40 days. Germination was increased by burial of weed seeds at 10cm of soil depth for 30-60 days.
