  • 항만 서비스 의미가 선박의 양적하뿐만 아니라 육로를 통해 반출입되는트레일러의 하역도 포함 디지털프랜스포메이션가속화에 따라 IoT, 빅데이타, 인공지능을 활용한 항만의 생산성 증대 방안으로 선박의 TAT뿐만 아니라 항만 반출입트럭TAT 감축의 중요성도 같이 높아지고 있음 컨테이너 이송 트럭의 TAT에 대한 정확한 측정과 TAT에 영향을 미치는 요인의 규명은 컨테이너 운송에 중요한 역할을 한다고 할 수 있음 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 IoT 기술로 수집된 빅데이터를 활용해 실질적인 차량 반출입시간을 분석한 새로운 항만 반출입차량 TAT 데이터와 기후, 부두 실적, 기항 선박 사이즈, 시간대 등 다양한 항만물류빅데이터를이용하여 항만 반출입차량 TAT에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하고 나아가 항만물류빅데이터분석을 위한 빅데이터 수집 방법을 연구하는데 목적이 있음

Prediciton Model for External Truck Turnaround Time in Container Terminal (컨테이너 터미널 내 반출입 차량 체류시간 예측 모형)

  • Following the COVID-19 pandemic, congestion within container terminals has led to a significant increase in waiting time and turnaround time for external trucks, resulting in a severe inefficiency in gate-in and gate-out operations. In response, port authorities have implemented a Vehicle Booking System (VBS) for external trucks. It is currently in a pilot operation. However, due to issues such as information sharing among stakeholders and lukewarm participation from container transport entities, its improvement effects are not pronounced. Therefore, this study proposed a deep learning-based predictive model for external trucks turnaround time as a foundational dataset for addressing problems of waiting time for external trucks' turnaround time. We experimented with the presented predictive model using actual operational data from a container terminal, verifying its predictive accuracy by comparing it with real data. Results confirmed that the proposed predictive model exhibited a high level of accuracy in its predictions.

  • Due to the increase in container cargo volume, the congestion of container terminals is increasing and the waiting time of gate in-out trucks has significantly lengthened at container yards and gates, resulting in severe inefficiency in gate in-out truck operations as well as port operations. To resolve this problem, the Busan Port Authority and terminal operator provide services such VBS, terminal congestion information, and expected operation processing time information. However, the visible effect remains insufficient, as it may differ from actual waiting time.. Thus, as basic data to resolve this problem, this study presents deep learning based average gate in-out truck waiting time prediction models, using container gate in-out information at Busan New Port. As a result of verifying the predictive rate through comparison with the actual average waiting time, it was confirmed that the proposed predictive models showed high predictive rate.

  • Due to the international economic downturn and the increasing competition, container terminals have been trying to achieve cost effectiveness and high service levels. Shipping companies want to get better services from container terminals but container terminals only have limited space and equipment. Frequently, too many external trucks come to the terminal at the same time, and create bottle necks at the terminals. Ouside the container terminals traffic jams occur as well. As a result, stakeholders need a vehicle booking system. By VBS, container terminals can plan efficiently in advance to avoid work delay and the truck drivers can finish their jobs quickly. This paper aims to search efficient models for the container terminals by using VBS.

  • 컨테이너터미널에서는 사전에 컨테이너에 대한 정확한 정보를 전송받게 되면 효율적인 반출업무 계획을 수립하여 반출입이 이루어지는 방식으로 운영되어야 한다. 그러나 컨테이너 반출에 사용되는 정보시스템이 선사별로 다양하여 업무량이 증가하고, 반출정보시스템 이용시 입력오류로 인한 손실이 발생하고 있다. 이러한 오류로 인한 화물차량의 게이트 대기시간 증가는 화물운송에 시간적, 물질적 손실을 초래하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 컨테이너터미널의 반출절차의 유형별 분석과 수출입 업무별로 필수정보량을 파악하여 이를 효과적으로 이용할 수 있도록 반줄정보시스템을 개선하는 방안을 도출하고자 한다.

  • The access monitoring and control system of vehicles involved in construction logistics has been evolved from paper-based through bar code-based and to RFID-based management with pursuing automatic data collection and management. However, existing management methods have a limit that they still need manpower allocation for access control of vehicles. Therefore this research has proposed an framework that includes devices and an information system for effective and efficient data collection for access control of vehicles for construction logistics. And the proposed framework has been verified through a laboratory test using a prototype system developed in this research. It is expected that the installation methods of RFID antenna and tag for the framework could be applied to not only the access control of construction site but also various RFID applications at construction sites.

  • 국내 최대 규모의 컨테이너 전용 터미널인 K컨테이너터미널이 스마트폰 기능을 터미널운영시스템에 도입하고 있다. "스마트로(SmartLo)"라고 이름 붙여진 모바일 애플리케이션은 컨테이너를 운송하는 화물차 운전기사들이 항만출입을 위한 다양한 정보를 스마트폰에서 확인할 수 있도록 만든 애플리케이션이다. 본 연구에서는 컨테이너터미널 게이트에서 스마트로 모바일 애플리케이션 개발사례를 제시하고자 한다. 스마트로 서비스를 이용함으로써 컨테이너터미널에서는 사전정보 조회를 통하여 외부 정보오류 최소화와 게이트 내 혼잡 해소, 화물에 대한 신속한 반출입을 통한 고객 서비스 증대, 스마트 슬립(e-SLIP)발급으로 슬립 구입비용 절감 등의 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 또한 운송차량은 신속한 게이트 통과로 운송회전율의 향상, 전배 및 셔틀 운송시 화물에 대한 적기 운송이 가능하게 되고, 운송사 입장에서는 효율적인 배차관리가 가능할 것으로 기대하고 있다.

A Study on the Improvement of Inter-Terminal Transportation Using Buffer Space (완충지역을 활용한 타부두 환적 컨테이너 운송 개선 방안)

  • Competition between ports around the world is intensifying to attract transshipment cargo. However, recently, there have been concerns about the departure of transshipment cargo volume at Busan Port, such as the lifting of the cabotage policy in China's shipping sector and the implementation of a safe fare system. In terms of operation, terminal congestion and vehicle waiting time are seriously occurring due to imbalance in the transshipment volume of each terminal and vehicles concentrated in a specific time period. In this paper, we propose a method of inter-terminal transportation (ITT) using buffer space to solve the problem caused by inefficient ITT systems and presented a mixed integer programming (MIP) for the problem. The effect of using the buffer space was analyzed for various work volumes and capacity fluctuation ranges by applying the terminal congestion pattern and ITT vehicle in/out pattern based on the Busan New Port data.

A Case Study of Automation Management System of Damaged Container in the Port Gate (항만 게이트의 데미지 컨테이너 관리 자동화 시스템 구축 사례연구)

  • As container vessels get larger, container terminals are also likely to grow. The problem that arises is that the growing volume should be handled in the same amount of time as before. Container terminals are introducing an automation system in order to overcome the limitations of existing manual methods and to continuously reduce operating expenses. Because, Manual handling of carrying containers gate in and out of terminals causes inaccurate data, which results in confusion. An alternative is for containers to be labeled with barcodes that can be scanned into a system with a scanner, but this takes quite a long time and is inconvenient. A RFID system, also known as a gate automation system, can solve these problems by reducing the time of gate management with a technology that detects number identification plates, helping operators more efficiently perform gate management work. Having said that, with this system, when container damage is detected, gate operators make and keep documents manually. These documents, which are insufficient evidence in proving container damage, result in customer claims. In addition, it is difficult for gate operators and other workers to manage containers, exposing them to danger and accidents. This study suggests that if an automation system is introduced at gates, containers can be managed by a video storage system in order to better document damage The video system maintains information on container damage, allowing operators the ability to search for videos they need upon customer request, also allowing them to be better prepared for customer claims. In addition, this system reduces necessary personnel and risk of accidents near gates by integrating a wide range of work.
