Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering Spectroscopic Identification of Genotoxic Nucleobase Adducts (표면강화 라만분광학을 이용한 nucleobase 유도체 분석)

  • Surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS) spectroscopy was employed to analyze the genotoxic nucleobase adducts of benzo[a]pyrene(BP) formed through one-electron oxidation pathway. SERS spectroscopy provided sufficient resolution to distinguish if BP intermediate was bound to different nucleobases(e. g. adenine or guanine). Furthermore, SERS specroscopy was also able to detect the difference in the binding position of the adduct to the various sites of the nucleobase. The linearity of the calibration curve for N7Ade-BP ranged from 20 picogram to 800 nanogram per microliter and the detection limit under the current conditions was determined 20 picogram per microliter in a solution volume of 20 microliter.

Oxidation and Surface Functional Group Analyses under Ozone Treatment of Carbon Black (오존처리에 의한 카본 블랙의 산화와 표면 작용기 분석)

  • Chemical and physical changes and the contents of functional groups in the carbon black surface after the ozone treatment was investigated using elemental analysis, pH, tint strength, DBP, $N_2SA$, IA, and acid-base reaction. As the treatment time was increased, surface structure, particle size and surface area of carbon black did not change, while surface oxygen contents increased, and pH decreased and then saturated after $1{\sim}2$ hour. The contents of carboxylic, lactone, hydroxyl, and carbonyl groups were analyzed with four bases such as $NaHCO_3,\;Na_2CO_3,\;NaOH$, and $NaOC_2H_5$. Before oxidation, the carbonyl group was dominantly present on the surface, but by increasing the treatment time, the contents of the carboxylic and carbonyl groups increased to a saturated level after $1{\sim}2$ hour. Before and after the oxidation, the lactone and hydroxyl groups were nearly absent. These results showed that the reaction mechanism of carbon black and ozone is similar to that of ethylene and ozone. Weight of oxidized carbon black was increased after treating AIBN, while free radical was slightly decreased by ESR analysis. When carbon black was treated with organic compounds containing mercapto- groups, the results of ESR showed that free radical peak intensity was almost diminished compared to original carbon black.

Effects of Methacrylamide Treatment on Silk Fibers III. Polymerization Behavior of Methacrylamide (견섬유에 대한 메타크릴아미드의 처리효과 III. 메타크릴아미드의 중합거동)

  • Many studies have been carried out on the graft finishing in order to improve the quality of silk fiber. Various vinyl monomers, for instance, styrene, methylmethacrylate, 2-hydroxyeth-ylmethacrylate and methacrylamide, have been used practically up to date. Among these monomers, methacrylamide has been applied as the most favourable monomer onto silk fibers in recent years. The polymerization mechanism about styrene- and methylmethacrylate-grafted silk fiber has been studied by many researchers. They proposed that free radicals were formed and vinyl monomers were polymerized in silk fibroin by graft polymerization mechanism, while active sites were varied by the types of monomer and initiator as well as by the reaction condition. In general. there is another Opinion that monomers are polymerized and impregnated in the internal side of the fiber by homopolymerization, which has not been proved experimentally yet More than 10 years have been passed since methacrylamide was applied on the silk fiber, and at the present time most finishings are being achieved by methacrylamide. However, no attention has been paid to the polymerization mechanism of the methacrylamide-treated silk fiber yeL In this paper, the treatments of methacrylamide on silk fibers were studied in aqueous solution using potassium persulfate as an initiator. The polymerization mechanism of the methacrylamide-treated silk fibers was investigated and analyzed on the basis of the results of infrared spectroscopy, amino acid analysis and scanning electron microscopy. From the results of these instrumental analyses, it can be suggested that polymerization mechanism about the methacrylamide-treated silk fibers is not performed by graft polymerization which has been accepted generally in styrene and methylmethacrylate-grafted silk fibers. The different mechanism is supposed to be due to the difference in monomer types, initiator types and treatment conditions.

반응표면분석을 이용한 음식물쓰레기의 효소학적 가수분해 조건의 최적화

  • The major factors related in enzymatic hydrolysis of food waste using cellulolytic enzymes of Trichoderma harzianum FJ1 were optimized by response surface analysis. The factors largely affecting to the reducing sugar concentration and enzymatic saccharification rate of food waste such as substrate concentration ($X_1$, %), enzyme concentration ($X_2$, U/ml), and reaction time ($X_3$, hr) were employed. A quadratic polynominal expressing the reducing sugar (RS) concentration relating with the above factors was as follows : RS (g/l) = -17.80 + $5.04X_1$ + $51.37X_2$ + $1.21X_3$ - $0.11X_1\;^2$ - $38.86X_2\;^2$ - $0.03X_3\;^2$ + $1.64X_1X_2$ + $0.04X_1X_3$ - $0.70X_2X_3$ ($R^2$=0.9939). The maximum value of the reducing sugar concentration and saccharification rate were obtained in the conditions of substrate concentration of 18.2%, enzyme concentration of 0.78 U/ml, and reaction time of 19 hr, respectively. The predicated reducing sugar concentration and saccharification rate by the response surface methodology were 95.13 g/l and 47.27%, respectively.

다관능성 에폭사이드 화합물로 처리한 양모섬유의 가교반응

  • 다관능성 에폭사이드 PPE(Polyglycerol Polyglycidyl Ether)를 양모섬유에 처리하였을 때 부가반응의 특성을 고찰하였다. 에폭사이드 PPE에 의한 부가반응이 촉매작용을 하는 NaSCN 존재하에서 이관능성 EGDE보다 높은 부가율을 얻을 수 있었다. 에폭사이드 부가반응은 고온에서 반응이 잘 일어나며 에폭사이드 처리욕의 pH는 반응 초기 급격히 상승했다가 이후 점차 초기 값까지 안정화된다. 처리한 양모섬유를 FTIR의 KBr-pellet법과 ATR법에 의해 분석하여 absorbance ratio를 비교하였을 때 부가반응은 표면으로의 그라프트 반응이 우세함을 알 수 있었으며 이러한 결과는 SEM 관측을 통하여 확인할 수 있었다. Performic acid/Ammonia solubility를 에폭사이드 처리 양모섬유에 적용하여 용해도 변화를 보았을 때 부가된 양이 많을수록 용해도 값이 감소하며 특히 15.6%를 중심으로 용해도 변화가 둔화되었다. 아미노산 분석으로 에폭사이드가 반응한 아미노산이 cystine임을 알 수 있었으며 단백질 사슬간에 가교반응이 이루어졌음을 확인할 수 있었다.

플라즈마를 이용한 GaAs 반응성 이온 식각

  • 이 논문은 반응성 $BCl_3$ 플라즈마로 GaAs의 건식 식각을 진행한 후 그 결과에 대하여 연구 분석 한 것이다. 이 때 사용한 식각 공정 변수는 $BCl_3$ 플라즈마에서의 가스유량, 공정 압력과 RIE 척 파워의 변화이다. 먼저 공정 압력을 75 mTorr 고정시킨 후 $BCl_3$ 유량을 변화 (2.5~10 sccm)해서 실험하였다. 또한 BCl3의 유량을 5 sccm으로 고정시킨 후 공정압력을 변화(47~180 mTorr)해서 식각 실험을 실시하였다. 마지막으로 47 mTorr와 100 mTorr 의 각각의 공정압력에서 RF 척 파워를 변화시켜 (50~200 W) 실험하였다. GaAs 플라즈마 식각이 끝난 후 표면단차 측정기 (Surface profiler)를 사용하여 표면의 단차와 거칠기를 분석하였다. 그 후 그 결과를 이용하여 식각율 (Etch rate), 식각 표면 거칠기 (RMS roughness), 식각 선택비 (Selectivity) 등의 식각 특성평가를 하였다. 또한 식각 공정 중에 샘플 척에 발생하는 자기 바이어스와 $BCl_3$ 플라즈마 가스를 광학 발광 분석기 (Optical Emission Spectroscopy)를 이용하여 플라즈마의 상태를 실시간으로 분석하였다. 이 실험 결과에 따르면 공정 압력의 증가는 샘플 척의 자기 바이어스의 값을 감소시켰다. $BCl_3$ 압력 변화에 의한 GaAs의 식각 결과를 정리하면 5 sccm의 $BCl_3$ 가스유량과 RF 척 파워를 100 W로 고정시켰을 때 식각율은 47 mTorr에서 가장 높았으며, 그 값은 $0.42{\mu}m/min$ 이었다. GaAs의 식각 속도는 공정압력이 증가할수록 감소하였으며 180 mTorr에서는 식각율이 $0.03{\mu}m/min$로 거의 식각되지 않았다. 또한 공정압력을 75 mTorr, RF 척 파워를 100 W로 고정시키고, $BCl_3$ 가스유량을 2.5 sccm에서 10 sccm까지 변화시켰을 때, 10 sccm 의 $BCl_3$ 가스유량에서 가장 높은 식각율인 $0.87{\mu}m/min$이 측정되었다. 압력에 따른 GaAs의 식각 후 표면 거칠기는 최대 2 nm 정도로 비교적 매끈하였으며, 거의 식각되지 않은 180mTorr의 조건에서는 약 1 nm로 낮아졌다. 본 실험 조건에서 GaAs의 감광제에 대한 식각 선택비는 최대 약 3:1 이내였다.

Correlation Between Surface Properties of Fuel and Performance of Direct Carbon Fuel Cell by Acid Treatment (석탄 산처리에 따른 연료의 표면 물성 변화와 직접탄소 이용 연료전지 성능 간의 상관관계 분석분석)

  • Coal modified by acid treatment was investigated to analyze the correlation between the cell performance and electrochemical parameters in a direct carbon fuel cell (DCFC). The fuels were subjected to thermogravimetry analysis, gas adsorption test, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to investigate the fuel properties and surface characteristics. After the treatment of raw coal, the thermal reactivity of the treated fuels increased, and the specific surface area decreased, though the mean pore diameters of three fuels were similar. The coal treated by $HNO_3$ showed the highest ratio of oxygen to carbon, and also an increase in the surface oxygen groups on the fuel surface. Through comparison between the fuel surface properties and electrochemical performance, it was confirmed that the surface oxygen groups have an influence on the improvement in the DCFC performance.

Repair of Plasma Damaged Low-k Film in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide (초임계이산화탄소를 이용한 플라즈마 손상된 다공성 저유전 막질의 복원)

  • Repair reaction of plasma damaged porous methyl doped SiOCH films was carried out with silylation agents dissolved in supercritical carbon dioxide ($scCO_2$) at various reaction time, pressure, and temperature. While a decrease in the characteristic bands at $3150{\sim}3560cm^{-1}$ was detectable, the difference of methyl peaks was not identified apparently in the FT-IR spectra. The surface hydrophobicity was rapidly recovered by the silylation. In order to induce effective repair in bulk phase, the wafer was heat treated before reaction under vacuum or ambient condition. The contact angle was slightly increased after the treatment and completely recovered after the subsequent silylation. Methyl groups were decreased after the plasma damage, but their recovery was not identified apparently from the FT-IR, spectroscopic ellipsometry, and secondary ion mass spectroscopy analyses. Furthermore, Ti evaporator was performed in a vacuum chamber to evaluate the pore sealing effect. The GDS analysis revealed that the open pores in the plasma damaged films were efficiently sealed with the silylation in $scCO_2$.

Projection Pursuit Regression for Binary Responses using Simulated Annealing (모의 담금질을 이용한 이진반응변수 사용추적회귀)

  • 본 논문에서는 반응변수가 두 가지의 값을 갖는 회귀분석에 적용할 수 있는 사영추적회귀를 고려하였다. 회귀모형에 필요한 설명변수들의 선형결합이 하나이고 연결함수의 형태를 사전에 알지 못한다는 가정하에서 모의담금질 기법을 이용하여 모형에 필요한 선형결합을 찾는 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 이진 반응변수의 경우에는 평활모수의 값에 따라 잔차이탈도함수의 반응표면이 단봉의 형태를 갖지 않는 경우가 있어 비동질적 마코프체인을 이용한 모의담금질 기법을 적용하면 효율적으로 선형결합을 탐색할 수 있다.

Integration of immunohistochemical reactions into Electrochemical and Optical Analyses of Biochips (면역 조직화학 반응이 통합된 바이오칩의 전기화학 및 광학적 분석)

  • We have addressed two important issues of immunosensing biochips, including the construction of antibody functionalized suface for efficient affinity reactions and the development of a signal registration strategy that converts biospecific reactions into highly quantifiable electrochemical and/or optical signals. The developed immunoassay reaction is an integrated version of enzyme-mediated immunoprecipitaion reaction, which is widely used in immunohistochemistry, and electrochemical signaling reaction. For the evaluation of analytical performance of fabricated immunosensing biochips, signaling for mouse IgG in antiserum was conducted. Applications of the developed strategy have been found for the evaluation of histology chemicals and for the signal amplification for array-type biochip analysis.
