NDP-sugar production and glycosylation of ${\varepsilon}$-rhodomycinone in Streptomyces venezuelae (Streptomyces Peucetius에서의 ${\varepsilon}$-rhodomycinone 추출 및 이종균주에서의 rhodomycin D 생산 연구)

  • Anthracycline antibiotics doxorubicin (DXR) is clinically important cancer therapeutic agent produced by Streptomyces peucetius. DXR result by further metabolism of rhodomycin D (RHOD) and require a deoxy-sugar component for their biological activity. In this study, production of TDP-L-daunosamine and its attachment to ${\varepsilon}$-rhodomycinone (RHO) to generate RHOD has been achieved by bioconversion in Streptomyces venezuelae that bears eleven genes. S. peucetius seven genes (dnmUTJVZQS) were transformed by plasmid and S. venezuelae two genes desIII, IV and two more S. peucetius drrA, B genes were integrated into chromosomal DNA. To generate the feeding substrate RHO, 6L S. peucetius grown on agar plate was harvested, extracted with organic solvent and then purified using preparative HPLC. Recombinant S. venezuelae grown on agar plate containing RHO was harvested and its n-butanol soluble components were extracted. The glycosylated product of aromatic polyketide RHO using heterologous host S. venezuelae presents the minimal information for TDP-L-daunosamine biosynthesis and its attachment onto aglycone. Moreover, the structure of auxiliary protein, DnrQ, was predicted by fold recognition and homology modeling in this study. This is a general approach to further expand of new glycosides of antitumor anthracycline antibiotics.

  • Many cases have mentioned the effect by applying BIM on the media such as at conferences, workshops, reports, ect. These cases reported that costs could be saved directly by prevention the need to re-do and reconstruct caused by using BIM. BIM users mentioned that using BIM has potential value in saving costs. The benefits of the BIM include intangible value that cannot be estimated in costs, such as reducing work time and improving productivity. However, the financial value of using BIM, such as Return on Investment, has not yet been exposed, and BIM users have a negative view of the financial value of BIM in Korea. Therefore, this study has researched the effects of applying BIM on construction estimate services in view of business productivity, not finance. This study compared the traditional and BIM based estimation, and verified the effect of estimating BIM through work sampling. This study investigated a precondition for getting the effects of BIM based estimation. The results show a need for BIM education, 3D Modeling standards, and database on quantity in order to improve product ivity and reduce work time on BIM based estimation

Soil Moisture Modelling at the Topsoil of a Hillslope in the Gwangneung National Arboretum Using a Transfer Function (전이함수를 통한 광릉 산림 유역의 토양수분 모델링)

  • Soil moisture is one of the important components in hydrological processes and also controls the subsurface flow mechanism at a hillslope scale. In this study, time series of soil moisture were measured at a hillslope located in Gwangneung National Arboretum, Korea using a multiplex Time Domain Reflectometry(TDR) system measuring soil moisture with bi-hour interval. The Box-Jenkins transfer function and noise model was used to estimate spatial distributions of soil moisture histories between May and September, 2007. Rainfall was used as an input parameter and soil moisture at 10 cm depth was used as an output parameter in the model. The modeling process consisted of a series of procedures(e.g., data pretreatment, model identification, parameter estimation, and diagnostic checking of selected models), and the relationship between soil moisture and rainfall was assessed. The results indicated that the patterns of soil moisture at different locations and slopes along the hillslope were similar with those of rainfall during the measurment period. However, the spatial distribution of soil moisture was not associated with the slope of the monitored location. This implies that the variability of the soil moisture was determined more by rainfall than by the slope of the site. Due to the influence of vegetation activity on soil moisture flow in spring, the soil moisture prediction in spring showed higher variability and complexity than that in early autumn did. This indicates that vegetation activity is an important factor explaining the patterns of soil moisture for an upland forested hillslope.

Study on Applicability of Passive Infrared Thermography Analysis for Blistering Detection of Stone Cultural Heritage (석조문화유산의 박리검출을 위한 수동적 적외선 열화상분석의 적용성 연구)

  • This study focused on analysis condition and application method of the passive infrared thermography according to the direction and time to nondestructively detect the blistering zone of stone cultural heritage. As a result, the passive thermographic images showed different temperature characteristics by time because it sensitively reacts to air temperature, insolation and sunshine direction. In particular, the insolation and sunshine direction, which are periodically changed from 6:00 to 17:00, irregularly made surface temperature. In addition, surface temperature differences were brought on fresh zones and blistering zones except specific time since blistering causes erratic thermal transfer. As a result of examining the detection characteristics of blistering by time, the blistering was well detected between 9:00 and 10:00 when there was rapid increase in air temperature and insolation in all direction except the north. However, this study isn't considered effects of four seasons because it is carried out in autumn, and the passive thermography has difficulty to analyze the quantitative area of blistering zone. Therefore, an additional study for synthetic consideration of the passive thermography analysis about four seasons and quantitative modeling of blistering zone using the active thermography are needed.

Geophysical Imaging of Alluvial Water Table and the underlying Layers of Weathered and Soft Rocks (충적층 지하수면 및 그 하부의 풍화암/연암의 경계면 파악을 위한 복합 지구물리탐사)

  • Although geophysical methods are useful and generally provide valuable information about the subsurface, it is important to recognize their limitations. A common limitation is the lack of sufficient contrast in physical properties between different layers. Thus, multiple methods are commonly used to best constrain the physical properties of different layers and interpret each section individually. Ground penetrating radar (GPR) and shallow seismic reflection (SSR) methods, used for shallow and very shallow subsurface imaging, respond to dielectric and velocity contrasts between layers, respectively. In this study, we merged GPR and SSR data from a test site within the Cheongui granitic mass, where the water table is ~3 m deep all year. We interpreted the data in combination with field observations and existing data from drill cores and well logs. GPR and SSR reflections from the tops of the sand layer, water table, and weathered and soft rocks are successfully mapped in a single section, and they correlate well with electrical resistivity data and SPS (suspension PS) well-logging profiles. In addition, subsurface interfaces in the integrated section correlate well with S-wave velocity structures from multi-channel analysis shear wave (MASW) data, a method that was recently developed to enhance lateral resolution on the basis of CMP (common midpoint) cross-correlation (CMPCC) analysis.

Production of Extrudates Formulated from Pacific Sand Lance Sauce By-Product and Dried Biji (까나리 액젓 부산물과 건조 비지를 첨가한 압출성형물의 제조)

  • This study was conducted to enhance the protein quality of wheat flour extrudates with the addition of fish sauce by-products and dried biji. The experimental design was used to determine the optimum ratio of each ingredient. The compositional and functional properties of test extrudate were measured, and these values were applied to the mathematical models. A canonical form and trace plot showed that the influence of each ingredient on the mixture final product. Protein content of extrudate was increased by the addition of the dried biji, and bending failure stress of extrudate became hardened due to interaction effects between dried biji and pacific sand lance sauce by-product. Also, the addition of dried biji decreased ash and salt contents. An optimum formulation was obtained as 15.83 : 44.17 : 40% with numerical and 15.74 : 44.26 : 26.40% with graphical method (pacific sand lance sauce by-product : dried biji : wheat flour). Based on the growth performance, feed conversion efficiency was slightly lower than control group, but the protein content in feed extrudate increased to a large extent compared to that mixed with wet biji.

  • 오존 경보제와 예보제의 실시가 오존 오염에 관한 일반인의 관심을 증폭시키는 중요한 계기가 되었음에도 우리 연구계와 정책 당국의 대응은 이에 훨씬 못미치고 있다. 1990년 이래 학회지 관련 논문 편수는 연간 1∼3편에 그치고 있고, 다른 이차오염 현상과 달리 정책 당국은 여전히 지원을 고려하지 않고 있다. 오존 연구가 뿌리를 내리지 못한 가운데 강행된 경보제와 예보제의 와중에 책임을 떠맡은 지방자치단체는 조급하게 노련한 예보 모델을 찾고 있고 충분한 검토도 없이 외국의 사례에서 대책을 구하고 있다. 논란이 되고 있는 오존 예보의 부정확성은 모델 선택의 문제가 아니라 모델 이용이 잘못된 때문이다. 현재 오존 대책의 일환으로 검토되고 있는 차량 부제 실시와 같은 단기 대책은 역효과를 낼 수 있다는 연구결과도 있다. 선진국의 오존 연구는 도시 규모에서 지역 규모로 확대되고 있고, 구츰 등 액상반응의 효과 규명과 1 kin 이하 미세 변화 모델링이 시도되고 있고, 지구 단위 대류권 실험의 일환으로 태평양 상공의 오존과 오존 전구물질의 대기화학이 조사되고 있다. 우리는 우선 우리의 오존 문제를 정확히 이해하도록 노력하여야 한다 합리적 계획 아래 체계적으로 접근하여 갈 때 당장은 아니지만 우리의 오존에 대한 이해가 깊어갈수록 예보의 정확성은 향상될 수 있다. 많은 비용과 노력이 필요한 오존 대책의 시행은 충분히 신중하여야 한다. 서울과 같은 대도시라면 적합한 수치모델을 구비하여 효과를 점검할 수 있어야 한다. 일부에서는 예보의 정확성을 높일 수 있는 방안의 하나로 수치모델 이용을 거론하고 있으나 수치모델은 매일의 예보와 같이 일상적 목적을 위하여 사용될 수 있는 모델이 아니며, 현재와 같이 기초가 갖추어져 있지 않은 상황에서는 더욱 그러하다. 정상적 모델 이용이 가능할 수 있도록 배출원 자료 체계를 갖추어야 하고, 서을 등 특징적 지역에 대하여서는 집중적 현장 조사를 실시하여야 한다.3)와 NAS(National Academy of Sciences, 1983), 미국에서 발행되는 정부 지침서 (Federal Register)에 고시된 내용 등을 토대로 하였다. 연구는 당면현실로 다가온 정보화 및 세계화의 기업환경에서 예견되는 몰입(committment)의 약화에 대한 치유방안으로서, 정보화된 경영모의게임의 기업 교육훈련 시스템(Business Training System)으로의 발전 가능성을 제시한다 하겠다.암시하며, 따라서 우리 교육문화에 맞는 재택수업 형태의 개발이 시급함을 제시한다고 하겠다.column density of HCaN is (1-3):n1014cm-2. Proposal and Verification of Image Sensor Non-uniformity Correction Algorithm (영상센서 픽셀 불균일 보정 알고리즘 개발 및 시험)

  • All pixels of image sensor do not react uniformly even if the light of same radiance enters into the camera. This non-uniformity comes from the sensor pixel non-uniformity and non-uniformity induced by the changing transmission of the telescope over the field. The first contribution to the non-uniformity has high spatial frequency nature and has an influence on the result and quality of the data compression. The second source of non-uniformity has low frequency nature and has no influence of the compression result. As the contribution resulting from the sensor PRNU(Photo Response Non-Uniformity) is corrected inside the camera electronics, the effect of the remaining non-uniformity to the compression result will be negligible. The non-uniformity correction result shall have big difference according to the sensor modeling and the calculation method to get correction coefficient. Usually, the sensor can be modeled with one dimensional coefficients which are a gain and a offset for each pixel. Only two measurements are necessary theoretically to get coefficients. However, these are not the optimized value over the whole illumination level. This paper proposes the algorithm to calculate the optimized non-uniformity correction coefficients over whole illumination radiance. The proposed algorithm uses several measurements and the least square method to get the optimum coefficients. The proposed algorithm is verified using the own camera electronics including sensor, electrical test equipment and optical test equipment such as the integrating sphere.

Development of the Hippocampal Learning Algorithm Using Associate Memory and Modulator of Neural Weight (연상기억과 뉴런 연결강도 모듈레이터를 이용한 해마 학습 알고리즘 개발)

  • In this paper, we propose the development of MHLA(Modulatory Hippocampus Learning Algorithm) which remodel a principle of brain of hippocampus. Hippocampus takes charge auto-associative memory and controlling functions of long-term or short-term memory strengthening. We organize auto-associative memory based 3 steps system(DG, CA3, CAl) and improve speed of learning by addition of modulator to long-term memory learning. In hippocampal system, according to the 3 steps order, information applies statistical deviation on Dentate Gyrus region and is labelled to responsive pattern by adjustment of a good impression. In CA3 region, pattern is reorganized by auto-associative memory. In CAI region, convergence of connection weight which is used long-term memory is learned fast by neural networks which is applied modulator. To measure performance of MHLA, PCA(Principal Component Analysis) is applied to face images which are classified by pose, expression and picture quality. Next, we calculate feature vectors and learn by MHLA. Finally, we confirm cognitive rate. The results of experiments, we can compare a proposed method of other methods, and we can confirm that the proposed method is superior to the existing method.

Three-dimensional finite element analysis on the effect of maxillary incisor torque (상악 절치부-토크에 의한 치아 이동과 응력 분포에 관한 유한요소법적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the stress distribution in the periodontal tissue and the displacement of teeth when active torque was applied to the maxillary incisors by three-dimensional finite element analysis A three-dimensional finite element model consisted of the maxillary teeth and surrounding periodontal membrane, $.022{\times}.028$ Roth prescription bracket and stainless steel, NiTi and TMA rectangular ideal arch wires which were modeled by hexahedron elements. Applied active torques were 2, 5 and 10 degrees ThHe findings of this study showed that the reaction force acting or the bracket was the extrusion force on the mesial side of the incisors and canine and the intrusion force on the distal side of the incisors and canine. The amount of force and moment was greatest at the lateral incisor. When active anterior labial crown torque was applied. labial crown and distal tipping and Intrusion of the incisors took place. and lingual crown distal tipping and extrusion of the canine occured. An excessive force was concentrated on the lateral incisor, when the stainless steel wire was used NiTi or TMA wire is desirable for torque control.
