Micro-optic Submersion Detection Systems using In-line Fiber Collimator (광섬유형 콜리메이터를 이용한 마이크로 광학 누수감지 시스템)

  • In this paper, two types of micro-optic submersion detection systems are proposed and demonstrated. The structures are based on the transmission and reflection of incident light, respectively. Two collimators are separated by 10 mm and installed face to face in straight line. The incident light transmits from one side of collimator to the other through the air, but the optical loss is below 1 dB. On the other hand, when the sensors are submersed into water, most of optical power scattered into water. The systems monitor the dramatical power change to alarm the submersion. Reflection type of sensor system has a Bragg grating at the end of the sensor for back-reflection of sensing signal. This is for simple configuration of systems. The performance of two sensor systems are described in detail.

  • 본 논문에서는 케이블 결함과 위치를 검출하기 위한 SSTDR(spread spectrum domain reflectomerty) 기반의 진단 장치를 개발하였다. 개발된 진단 장치는 sstdr 기법의 검출 성능을 향상시키기 위해 시간-주파수 상관 분석을 이용하여 기준신호(reference signal)의 상관계수 최댓값 위치를 검출 한 후 기준신호를 제거하여 반사신호의 상관계수의 최댓값 위치를 검출하는 2단계 과정을 갖는다. 개발된 케이블 결함 진단 장치는 실증 시험장을 구축하고, 성능시험을 실시한 결과, ${\pm}1%$ 내 외의 오차를 갖는 것으로 확인되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 자기공명 방식 무선전력전송 시스템의 공진기 재질에 따른 전송 특성을 분석하였다. 12.74MHz의 공진 주파수를 갖는 무선전력전송 시스템을 구현하여 공진 코일에 초전도 코일을 적용하였으며, 비교를 위해 구리를 이용한 공진 코일을 제작하였다. 이 때 network analyzer를 이용하여 S-parameter $S_{11}$을 측정하였다. 실험결과, 초전도 공진 코일을 적용하였을 때 구리코일보다 반사계수가 높은 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 다양한 무선 통신 채널 환경에서 레일리 페이딩과 라이시안 페이딩 등을 모두 포함할 수 있고 이동 통신과 위성 통신에서도 적용할 수 있는 페이딩 모델로서 나카가미 페이딩 모델을 도입하고 전자기기에서 방출되는 임펄스 간섭파를 채널 환경으로 모델링하여 결합변조기법을 채용한 DS-CDMA 시스템의 성능을 분석하였다. 변조방식으로는 대역폭 효율 개선을 위해 MFSK와 MDPSK를 고려한 결합변조기법을 채용하였으며 실내 무선 페이딩 채널로써 직접파대 반사파 전력비를 나카가미 페이딩 심도지수 m으로 산출하여 임펄스 지수A와 가우스 잡음 전력 대 임펄스 잡음 전력비 $\Gamma'$를 파라미터로 하여 시스템 오율성능을 분석하였다.

  • 본 연구는 신재생에너지의 하나인 태양광 발진의 소형 발전의 활용분야의 하나로 기존 정원 보안등의 전력원을 상용전원에서 태양전지로 변환하여 직용, 실증화한 연구 결과로서 태양전기 전원의 특성과 배터리의 노화, 반사갓의 차이점을 실증화 시험을 통하여 분석하였으며 각각의 실험결과들은 웹을 통하여 원격 모니터링이 가능하도록 시스템을 구성하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 케이블 고장 위치 검출을 위해 사용되고 있는 STDR(sequence time domain reflectomerty) 및 SSTDR(spread spectrum TDR) 기법의 성능을 향상시키기 위한 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 시간-주파수 상관 분석을 이용하여 기준신호(reference signal)의 상관계수 최댓값 위치를 검출 한 후 기준신호를 제거하여 반사신호의 상관계수의 최댓값 위치를 검출하는 2단계 과정을 갖는다. 제안된 알고리즘은 저압 전력 케이블의 단선 및 합선 고장 검출 실험에서 보편적인 STDR 및 SSTDR 방법과의 성능 비교를 통해 입증하였다.

Analysis of the Radar Cross Section of an X-band Active Transponder (X-밴드 대역 능동 전파반사기 RCS 분석 연구)

  • A study on the RCS of a self-manufactured active transponder, which has a manually adjustable RCS, for SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) external calibration and image analysis at X-band is presented in this paper. The RCS of the active transponder was comparably analyzed using the lab-test and the COSMO-SkyMed SAR system, and also precisely analyzed the difference between the adjusted and estimated RCSs. A maximum RCS of the designed and manufactured active transponder is 60 dBsm. The active transponders with 60 dBsm and the adjusted RCS of 40 dBsm were measured using the single target calibration technique(STCT) and 2D target scanning technique(2DTST). And the extracted RCS using power-spill integration technique in a SAR image was compared with the measured RCS of active transponder. The comparison results show that the measured and extracted RCSs are 59.7 dBsm, 40.2 dBsm and 57.3 dBsm, 39.2 dBsm, respectively.

A Study on Performance Evaluation of Light Shelf according to the Reflectivity of Interior Space (실내 공간의 반사율에 따른 광선반 성능평가 연구)

  • There has been a significant increase in the amount of research on reducing the lighting power consumption of buildings and also an increasing demand for technological development. Light shelf has been recognized as one of the most efficient solutions to this issue and related researches have been conducted, which have mostly focused on factors related to simple light shelves and are not suitable as an appropriate basis for the design of light shelves. Thus this study aims to establish the proper design basis for light shelves by evaluating the performance of shelves per reflection rate in indoor areas. Power consumption rate and indoor illumination intensity distribution of a testbed built based on actual living conditions were calculated for the performance evaluation, of which the results are as following: 1) Reduction of reflection rate of ceiling and walls caused average illumination intensity in summer, winter and median seasons, and evenness per reflection rate of indoor areas was found to be different in summer, winter and median seasons, making it a necessary consideration for designing light shelves. 2) Calculation of power consumption from lighting control showed that a high reflection rate of indoor areas may be suitable for power consumption reduction, and that reflection rates higher than 80% for ceilings and higher than 75% for walls in terms of the efficiency of researches on the indoor reflection rate and its application would be appropriate. This study is meaningful as the research focuses on light shelves based on considering indoor environmental factors. More studies will be required that consider a variety of factors.

Dual-band Predistortion Linear Power Amplifier for Base-station Application (기지국용 이중 대역 전치 왜곡 선형 전력 증폭기)

  • This paper proposes a new concept about dual band predistortion linear power amplifier(PD LPA) using diplexer for digital cellular ($f_o$=880 MHz) and IMT-2000($f_o$=2,140 MHz) base stations. The diplexer is composed of low pass filter having defected ground structure(BGS) microstrip line and high pass filter having high-Q lumped capacitors and distributed elements. The proposed predistorter adopts a reflection type intermodulation signal generator with 3 dB hybrid coupler for good reflection characteristic. for a forward link one carrier CDMA IS-95A 1FA and WCDMA 1FA signal, the proposed dual band PD LPA shows the adjacent channel leakage ratio(ACLR) improvement about 10 dB and 9.36 dB for digital cellular and IMT-2000 band, respectively.

Design of Low Power CMOS LNA for 2.4 GHz ZigBee Applications (2.4 GHz ZigBee 응용을 위한 저전력 CMOS LNA 설계)

  • This paper presents a design of low power CMOS LNA(Low Noise Amplifier) for 2.4 GHz ZigBee applications. The proposed circuit has been designed by using TSMC $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process and current-reused two-stage cascade topology. LNA design procedures and the simulation results using ADS(Advanced Design System) are presented in this paper. Simulation results shows that the LNA has a extremely low power dissipation of 1.38mW with a $V_{DD}$ of 1.0V. The LNA also has a maximum gain of 13.38dB, input return loss of -20.37dB, output return loss of -22.48dB and noise figure of 1.13dB.
