Bilateral chylothorax as a complication of radical neck dissection is extremely rare. Early diagnosis of chylothorax is important due to the consequences on metabolic & cardiopulmonary conditions. This present report describes our recent experiences with two cases of bilateral chylothorax following left modified radical neck dissection that was treated successfully by conservative management.

Papillary thyroid carcinoma is rarely associated with macroscopic vascular invasion or tumor thrombosis. Especially, superior vena cava syndrome(SVCS) resulted from tumor thrombosis of papillary thyroid carcinoma is extremely rare. We present herein a case of SVCS caused by tumor thrombosis from papillary thyroid carcinoma which was successfully solved by intravascular placement of self-expandable stent in 74-year-old woman.

In this paper, the effects of temperature change on the impact of CFRP laminates was experimentally studied. Composite laminates used for this experiment are CFRP orthotropic laminated plates, which have two-interfaces$[0_6^{\circ}/90_7^{\circ}]_s$ and four-interfaces$[0_3^{\circ}/90_6^{\circ}/0_3^{\circ}]_s$. The interrelations between the impact energy vs. delamination area, the impact energy vs. residual bending strength, and the interlayer delamination area vs. the decrease of the residual flexural strength of carbon fiber epoxy composite laminates subjected to FOD(Foreign Object Damage) under high temperatures were experimentally observed.

이 논문은 승용차용에 사용되는 휴즈박스 자동조립기의 개발에 관한 연구로서 기존 시스템은 휴즈를 낱개로 수동 공급하여 스위치의 조작에 의해 압입하여 조림하였으나 이 연구에서는 자동공급피더에 의해 휴즈를 자동으로 공급시키고 센서의 감지에 의한 자동 압입을 실시하는 장치로써 생산성을 대폭 향상시킨 것이라 할 수 있다.

본 연구에서는 생 대두의 약열 성으로 대두의 분말 화시 마찰열에 의한 영양소가 파괴되며 생 대두 안에 수분과 단백질, 지질의 엉킴 현상으로 대두의 분말화가 어려운 실정이다. 전지활성 생 대두 미세 분말은 저온 가열처리에 의해 리폭시게나이즈와 같은 효소를 파괴시키지 않는 방법의 일환으로서 원적외선 건조방법을 이용하여 대두분말의 품질이 우수한 분말 제조법의 개발로 산업화함으로써 국민건강에 기여할 수 있다고 하겠다.

본 연구는 국내 제조업체를 대상으로 하여, 공급업체 선택기준 요인으로서 원가 요인과 유연성 요인의 적합성을 검증하고, 그들이 공급사슬 성과에 유의한 영향을 미치는가를 확인하는 것을 첫 번째 목표로 한다. 나아가 IT 중 POS, EDI, ERP의 기술들이 그 과정에서 조정적(moderate) 효과를 나타내는가를 실증적으로 검증하고자 한다. 전국에 소재한 제조업체를 표본조사하고 조정적 회귀분석의 방법에 의하여 검증한 결과, 유연성 요인은 공급사슬 성과에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있으며, IT 기술들의 조정효과는 매우 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 IT 투자의 '생산성 역설'과 관련이 있는 것으로 볼 수 있다.

우리가 일상생활에서 사용하는 가전제품 중에서 소음 진동이 발생하여 생활에 영향을 미치는 제품으로 세탁기를 들 수 있다. 세탁기의 종류는 회전하는 축의 방향에 의해 수직축(vertical axis)과 수평축 (horizontal axis) 방식으로 나누며 국내, 일본및 동남아시아 등에서 사용하는 펄세이터식(pulsator type) 세탁기와 미국을 비롯한 미주에서 사용하는 애지테이터식(agitator type)세탁기는 전자에 속하고 유럽에서 사용하는 드럼식(drum type) 세탁기는 후자에 속한다. 드럼 세탁기의 장점은 물을 적게 사용하고, 삶는 세탁이 가능하며, 건조 기능을 갖고 있으므로 별도의 건조기가 필요없어서 공간을 절약하는 것이다. 또 빨래가 펄세이터나 애지테이터 등의 교반체와 직접 접촉하지 않기 때문에 빨래의 마모가 적다. 드럼식 세탁기의 단점으로는 가격이 펄세이터식이나 애지테이터식에 비해서 비싸고, 무게가 무거우며, 탈수시에 소음과 진동이 심하다. 특히 탈수시 발생하는 소음과 진동은 이방식의 세탁기의 가장 큰 약점이다. 지금까지는 드럼식 세탁기의 진동 소음을 감소시키려는 적극적인 노력이 없었는데, 볼밸런스를 적용한 드럽 세탁기를 개발하여 소음과 진동을 획기적으로 감소시켰다.

Government-sponsored Research Institutes(GRIs) have played a great role to the development of Korea Science and Technology(S&T) However, GRIs are facing with challenges of change for their role and function, appearing emerging technology, accelerating technological innovation and increasing research capabilities of other organizations(i.g., universities and firms). We will argue that GRIs should increase competitiveness of their focused research discipline in order to produce a superior outcome and in charge of distinguished role compared with other organizations. This paper aims to suggest a alternative which could increase competitiveness of GRIs's focused research discipline. As a case, in this paper, we analyzed Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology(KRIBB) which is a part of GRIs in Korea.

An analysis procedure is proposed to improve the prediction accuracy of springback as well as to evaluate the structural stability of the tooling used for fabricating a side sill part from UHSS. The analysis couples the stamping analysis and the subsequent analysis of the tool structural. The deformation and stress results for the tool structure are obtained from the proposed analysis procedure. The results show that the amount of deformation and stresses are so high that the tool structure must be reinforced and the tooling design must consider structural stability. Springback is predicted with CAE in order to compare the prediction accuracy between the given tool geometry and the geometry from the structural analysis. The simulation results with the deformed tool can predict the experimental springback tendency accurately.

하천에서의 보다 정확한 수질변화의 예측과 하천관리를 위해서는 수질관측지점에 대한 지속적인 수문관측을 병행함으로써 하천흐름에 대한 물리적인 특성의 이해가 수반되어야 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 횡성댐 상류에 위치한 계천에 시험유역을 구축하여 하천에서의 흐름변화와 수질변화를 동시에 실시간으로 감시할 수 있는 수문$\cdot$수질관측시스템과 하천에서의 수질오염사고에 대비한 하류부의 수질변화를 모의할 수 있는 수질모의시스템을 구축하였으며, 실제 관측한 수질자료를 이용한 모형의 보정을 실시하여 적용성을 검토하였다.
