Improvement of Production Process based on Performance Evaluation System of Unified Heater (통합히터 성능평가장치를 통한 생산 공정 개선)

  • This paper presents improvement of the production process of a unified fuel heater with the help of the performance evaluation system. In order to enhance a starting capability of diesel-engine car, the unified fuel heater is proposed, which consists of main body, upper plate, stopper, lower plate, PTC, screw, bimetal and terminals. In the proposed heater, the sensor is combined with heater body not only to maximize the performance of car but also to reduce the production cost. The performance test chamber is proposed to evaluate the performance of heater. Especially, an effective manufacturing progress for assembling the heater elements can cut down expenses.

  • In this paper, we have proposed and demonstrated a simple fiber-optic temperature sensor based on the bending loss of a TEC(thermally expended core) fiber attached to a bi-metal. The deformation of the bi-metal caused by the change in its temperature induces the bending loss of the TEC fiber. The experimental result shows that the temperature sensitivity and operation temperature range of the device are controllable through the adjustment of the structure of the expanded core fiber. The fabrication procedure of the device is described in detail.

  • Metal Bearing's research that use the clad steel had led in advanced country. Metal Bearing that is produced by domestic companies is ship, vehicles, development equipment and plant equipment. This is Cast White Metal Lining Bearing that is Bimetal Bearing standing 2 generation. Cast White Metal Lining Bearing is foreseen to be used widely on industry whole in the future. Cast White Metal Bearing is product that need precision processing. But the technique is generalized widely. So an advanced country is depending on import from a developing country that price is cheaper than itself manufacture. it is judged that high added value creation by deepening of price competition is difficult. Therefore need product development of new form and is changing to Trimetal Bearing parts. Trimetal Bearing is high quality technique that do compression junction to thin plates of special object on the Back Metal. Therefore, this research developed Trimetal bearing's materials.

  • 본 연구는 스테인리스 스틸(STS)을 직접메탄올 연료전지(DMFC)용 바이폴라 플레이트에 적용하기 위한 것이다. 약산성의 연료전지 환경에서 부식저항성을 향상시키고자 오스테나이트계 STS 316L과 페라이트계 STS 430에 UBM(unbalanced magnetron) DC sputter로 CrN 코팅막을 제작하였다. CrN이 코팅된 스테인리스 스틸은 부식특성, 접촉 저항 및 접촉각 등을 측정하여 무 코팅의 스테인리스 스틸과 특성을 비교하였다. 그리고 이들 재료의 연료전지(DMFC) 적용 가능성을 알아보기 위하여 단위전지로 제작하여 연료전지 성능 등을 측정하고 평가하였다. 무 코팅 스테인리스 스틸(STS 316L, STS 430)과 CrN 코팅 스테인리스 스틸의 부식저항 특성은 동전위와 정전위 실험으로 조사하였다. 동전위 부식 실험은 -0.4~1.0 V로 0.001 M의 황산용액 또는 메탄올을 첨가하여 질소 또는 공기의 환경에서 실험을 실시하였으며, 정전위 부식 실험은 0.4 V 또는 0.6 V에서 진행하였다. 연료전지의 단전지 측정은 실제 DMFC의 운전조건에서 실시하였다. 부식실험과 단전지 실험 전/후 메탈 바이폴라 플레이트의 조직 변화는 SEM을 통해 관찰하였고, 부식산화물의 화학적 조성과 메탈 바이폴라의 표면은 EDS를 이용하여 측정하였다.

  • The aim of this paper is to study the characteristics of thermo-hydrodynamic lubrication in the bimetal bearings. Bimetal bearing is composed of lining and back metal. The THD model is proposed to calculate oil film temperature and pressure in the bimetal bearing. As results of analysis, comparative results of maximum bearing temperature are presented for the various materials and thickness of lining metal.

Improvement in Tensile Strength, Scratch Resistance and Tribological Performance of Cu-based Bimetals by Surface Modification Technology (표면개질 기술에 의한 Cu 기반 바이메탈의 인장강도, 스크래치 저항성 및 트라이볼로지 성능 향상)

  • In this study, an ultrasonic nanocrystal surface modification (UNSM) was used to improve the mechanical properties, scratch resistance and tribological performance of Cu-based bimetals, which are usually used to manufacture sliding bearings and bushings for internal combustion engines (ICEs). Two different Cu-based bimetals, namely CuPb10Sn10 and CuSn10Bi7, were sintered onto a low carbon steel substrate. The mechanical properties and dry tribological performance using a tensile tester and micro-tribo tester were evaluated, respectively. The scratch resistance was assessed using a micro-scratch tester at an incremental load. The tensile test results showed that the yield strength (YS) and ultimate tensile strength (UTS) of both Cu-based bimetals increased after UNSM. Furthermore, the scratch and tribological tests results revealed that the scratch resistance and tribological performance of both Cu-based bimetals were improved by the application of UNSM. These improvements were mainly attributed to the eliminated pores, increased hardness and reduced roughness after UNSM. CuSn10Bi7 demonstrated better mechanical properties, scratch resistance and tribological performance than CuPb10Sn10. It was found that the presence of Bi in CuSn10Bi7 formed a Cu11Bi7 intermetallic phase, which is harder than Cu3Sn. Hence, CuSn10Bi7 demonstrated higher strength and wear resistance than CuPb10Sn10. In addition, a CuSn10Bi7 formed both SnO2 and Bi2O3 that prevented adhesion and improved the tribological performance. It can be expected that under dry tribological conditions, ICEs can utilize UNSM bearings and bushings made of CuSn10Bi7 instead of CuPb10Sn10 under oil-lubricated conditions.

  • 최근 클라우드 서비스의 가상화 기술이 급부상 하면서 이슈화되고 있는 문제는 안전성과 신뢰성이다. 클라우드 서비스의 가상화 계층의 손상은 모든 호스트 업무의 손상을 가져올 수 있기 때문에 복수의 가상 운영체제가 구동될 수 있는 환경을 제공하는 하이퍼바이저는 해커들에 의해 공격 대상이 될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 클라우드 서비스를 위한 대표적인 기술 중 보안이 취약하다고 분석되는 베어 메탈 기반의 하이퍼바이저의 해킹 및 악성코드에 대한 차단 기법을 제안한다.

  • Recently, a piezo actuator based linear motor has been actively studied because of its higher power density, compactness and quick response. However, the characteristic of small displacement makes the application of a piezo actuator limitative. In order to overcome this limitation, some actuation mechanisms using a piezo actuator are designed by bi-metal composite or more than two piezo actuators. Therefore, it enables to generate large displacement and have high resolution. In the proposed piezo motor, we have designed a bi-directional linear motor that can be operated by only one piezo actuator. In addition, it is activated with low frequency of the applied voltage, since, we utilize first mode shape of structure of motion generator to vibrate. Finally, moving direction can be simply controlled by changing the ratio of input frequency to natural frequency of structure of motion generator.

  • 현대 산업이 발전함에 따라 다양한 기기들의 초소형화가 급속히 진행되고 있다. 이러한 요구에 부응하기 위하여 미세구동소자(Microelectromechanical system)의 개발이 많은 연구 그룹들에 의해서 이루어지고 있다. 미세구동소자에 응용을 하기 위해 개발되어지고 있는 여러 가지 소재들 중 $\ulcorner$형상기억합금 $\lrcorner$은 기존의 바이메탈이나 피에조 소자에 비하여 작동거리가 우수하기 때문에 그 가능성을 인정받고 있지만, 벌크재료는 느린 냉각속도 때문에 반응속도가 느린 단점이 있기 때문에 박막화 할 필요성이 있다. 이러한 이유로 여러 그룹들에 의해 형상기억합금의 박막화가 시도되고 있으나, 조성에 의해 특성의 변화가 심한 형상기억합금의 정밀한 조성제어가 힘들다고 알려져 있다. 몇몇 연구 그룹에서 RF magnetron sputtering법을 이용하여 Ti-Ni합금 박막을 성공적으로 제조하였다는 보고가 있지만, 타겟 조성 및 형태 등의 정밀한 제어가 필요하므로 3원 합금 박막 등을 제조할 경우에는 또 다시 타겟의 조건을 정밀하게 제어해야 할 필요성이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 산화물 박막등의 제조에 있어서 타겟 조성과 제조된 박막 조성이 잘 일치하여 조성제어가 쉽게 이루어진다고 알려져 있는 PLD법을 도입하여 형상기억합금 박막제조에 적용가능한지를 검토하는 것을 목적으로 하였다.
