구명정 배터리의 폭발사고 예방을 위한 대안 (Preventive Measures of Battery Explosion in Lifeboat)

  • 구명정은 선박이 좌초나 침몰 시 인명구조용으로 구조는 황천시 물이 구명정내부로 들어오지 못하도록 밀폐형으로 되어 있다. 밀폐형 구조로 인해 구명정내부는 온도가 상승되고 이 온도 상승으로 인해 엔진시동용 배터리가 폭발 가능성이 있고, 실제로 목포해대 실습선의 구명정에 탑재된 배터리에서 폭발사고가 발생했다. 폭발에 대한 원인조사를 바탕으로 폭발방지를 위한 대안 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 발생된 사고의 방지를 위한 구명정의 구조개선, 충전장치, 법규개정을 위한 기초적 자료를 제안하였다.

  • 최근 10여년간 터널 막장면에서 연속적인 지지가 가능해진 연약 점토지반에서의 실드터널 시공법이 개발되었다. 이러한 실드공법은 굴착시 융기단계가 조절될 수 있으므로 테일보이드 내부로 토사의 이동을 감소시키는데 많은 도움을 줄 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 밀폐형 실드의 일종인 슬러리 실드와 토압식 실드의 계측치를 이용하여 실드터널 해석을 위해 개발된 2차원 탄소성 프로그램 EPSHILD에 적용시켜 검증하였다. 보다 정확한 해석수행을 위해 시공단계에 상응하는 굴착단계를 결정하였고 융기하중과 하중분담률을 고려하였다. 본 연구는 실드 시공과정에서 발생하는 즉시침하에 근거를 둔 것이며 장기침하에 대해서는 고려하지 않았다.

밀폐형 냉각탑용 열교환기에서의 물질전달 (Mass Transfer from Heat Exchanger for Closed Wet Cooling Tower)

  • The use of cooling towers in the air conditioning systems of buildings is increasing. In closed wet cooling towers, the heat transfer between the air and surface tubes can be composed of the sensible heat transfer and the latent heat transfer. The latent heat transfer is affected by the air and spray water. This study provides a designing methodology of heat exchanger for closed wet cooling tower. The correlation equation was derived to interpret the mass transfer coefficient based on the analogy of the heat and mass transfer and the experimental results. The results from this correlation equation showed fairly good agreement with experimental data.

  • In this study, the experiment of thermal performance about closed-type hybrid cooling tower was conducted. A closed type cooling tower is a device similar to a general cooling tower, but with cooling tower replaced by a heat exchanger. The test section for this experiment has the process that the cooling water flows from top part of heat exchanger to bottom side in the inner side of tube, and spray water flows gravitational direction in the outer side of it. Air contacts of tube outer side are counterflow. The heat transfer pipe used in this experiment is a bare type tube having an outside diameter of 15.88mm. In this experiment, heat performances of the cooling tower are calculated such as overall heat transfer coefficient of between the process fluid and air, cooing capacity and pressure drop.

무인잠수정용 연료전지 시스템 개념 연구 (Concept research of fuel cell system for the UUV)

  • 무인잠수정은 한정된 탑재공간으로 인해 에너지 밀도가 높은 에너지원이 적용되어야 하며, 특히 장시간 운행을 목표로 하는 무인잠수정의 경우 요구되는 총 전력에 대한 에너지원의 탑재 가능 여부를 가장 우선적으로 검토하여야 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 무인잠수정의 필요에너지에 따른 에너지원의 탑재가능성에 대해 분석하였고, 특히 에너지밀도가 높은 연료전지 시스템에 대한 연료 및 산화제의 필요량을 산출하여 내부 탑재가능성에 대한 배치성을 분석하였다. 또한 수중환경에서의 운용에 따른 밀폐형 연료전지 시스템에 대한 구성 방안을 도출하여 1kW급 고분자 전해질 연료전지 시스템을 이용하여 실험을 통해 적용 가능성을 검토하였다.

자동차 밀폐형 워터펌프의 토출구 형상이 수력성능에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Shape of Discharge Port on Hydraulic Performance of Automotive Closed Type Water Pump)

  • Recent trend in pursuit of high performance and effectiveness for automotive cooling system has changed the application of material for impeller of automotive water pump from metal to high ability engineering resin, which can achieve optimization of design of impeller geometry and realize lightweight high efficiency water pump. Closed type water pump improves hydraulic loss of fluid through the clearance between volute casing and impeller compared with that of the existing open type water pump(Although closed type is heavier than open type for the same size and same material, adoption of plastics can solve the problem.). In the present study, the characteristics of hydraulic performance of closed type water pump were investigated with respect to the angle between shroud and hub of impeller and the shape of discharge port of volute casing. Performance tests were carried out for 4 cases, that is, for 2 impellers and 2 casings. The modification of shape of only discharge port can enhance the hydraulic performance by 10 percent and the pump efficiency by 4-6 percent.

  • LabVIEW is mostly preferred to use in experiment, measurement and control as one of the useful thing in America and Europe. So, We tried performance experiment of a single-stage closed-type centrifugal pump by using the LabVIEW. The pump rpm and the shaft torque are measured by rpm sensor and torque sensor The test pump's maximum rpm, head, kW are 1,750, 13m, and 1.5kW, respectively The casing is made up with transparency acrylic for confirmation the flow patterns. We installed experimental equipment for air water two phase flow. This paper tries to analyze the single-phase flow characteristics through this air water two phase flow experimental apparatus. The performance results of a single-stage closed-type centrifugal pump satisfied reappearance and coincide well with head and coefficients according to the change of rpm.

루프형태의 밀폐형 Thermosyphon의 작동특성과 시스템 모델링에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Operating Characteristics and System Modelling of Closed Loop Type Thermosyphon)

  • The thermosyphon SDHWS and the loop type thermosyphon systems are widely used for domestic hot water system. The loop type thermosyphon is a circulation device for transferring the heat produced at the evaporator to the condenser area in the loop. In this study, the operating characteristics of various working fluids being used have been identified. The working fluids employed in the study were ethanol. water, and a binary mixture of ethanol and water. The volume of working fluid used in this study were 30%, 40%, 50%, 60% and 70% of evaporator volume. It is observed that, in the thermosyphon with low volume of working fluid, such as 30% or 40%, the fluid was dried out. The flow pattern and mechanism of the heat transfer were identified through this study. Flow patterns of the binary mixture working fluid were also investigated, and the patterns were recorded in the camera. The system parameters were calculated using the thermal performance data. Modelling of the system was carried out using PSTAR method and TRNSYS program.

밀폐형 지중열교환기 설계를 위한 지중 유효열전도도 데이터베이스 구축 (Construction of Ground Effective Thermal Conductivity Database for Design of Closed-Loop Ground Heat Exchangers)

  • A ground heat exchanger in a GSHP system is an important unit that determines the thermal performance of a system and its initial cost. The Size and performance of this heat exchanger is highly dependent on the thermal properties. A proper design requires certain site-specific parameters, most importantly the ground effective thermal conductivity, the borehole thermal resistance and the undisturbed ground temperature. This paper is part of a research project aiming at constructing a database of these site-specific properties, especially ground effective thermal conductivity. The objective was to develop and evaluation method, and to provide this knowledge to design engineers. To achieve these goals, thermal response tests were conducted using a testing device at nearly 150 locations in Korea. The in-situ thermal response is the temperature development over time when a known heating load imposed, e.g. by circulating a heat carrier fluid through the test exchangers. The line-source model was then applied to the response test data because of its simplicity. From the data analysis, the range of ground effective thermal conductivity at various sites is $1.5{\sim}4.0\;W$/mK. The results also show that the ground effective thermal conductivity varies with grouting materials as well as regional geological conditions and groundwater flow.

해저 표준관입시험 장비의 밀폐형 항타부 CFD 해석 (CFD Analysis of Underwater Standard Penetration Test Equipment)

  • In our study, a closed-type penetration unit for standard penetration test (SPT) equipment was developed in order to operate in an underwater environment. This type causes energy dissipation, mainly due to the small gap between an airtight case and moving hammer. The dissipation was estimated through a CFD analysis. The computed dissipated energy was less than 1.2% compared to the potential energy of the hammer with the given gap. Subsequently, the impact energy of the underwater SPT equipment was within 1.2% of that for the SPT equipment on land.
