Analysis of Trace Copper Metal at The Electrode Consisting of Carbon Nanotube using Stripping Voltammetry (벗김전압전류법을 이용한 카본나노튜브 전극에서의 구리 분석)

  • In the present study, we evaluate the sensitivity and optimal stripping voltammetry (SV) conditions of copper (Cu), which is one of the main trace heavy metals inducing the environmental contamination, using carbon nanotube (CNT) electrode. In addition, the reaction mechanism of stripping reaction of Cu is investigated. The electrochemical analyses such as squarewave stripping voltammetry (SWSV) and linear scan voltammetry (LSV) are used for the evaluations. As a result of that, the best SWSV conditions like squarewave amplitude of 15 mV, frequency of 60 Hz, deposition potential of -1.0V vs. Ag/AgCl and deposition time of 200s are determined with the measured Cu sensitivity of $1.824{\mu}A/{\mu}M$. As a driving force affecting the stripping reaction of Cu, surface reaction is more dominant one than diffusion. These results are compared with other reference results and it is confirmed that our suggested CNT electrode gives rise to better Cu sensitivity result than other references.

The Influence of Traffic Information based on VMS(Variable Message Sign) on the Selection of Drivers' Route (VMS(Variable Message Sign)를 통한 교통정보 제공이 운전자의 운행경로 전환에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • The provision of traffic information plays an important role in increasing social benefit not only by saving travel time for individuals but also by improving the efficiency of road operation. VMS(Variable Message Sign) helps on-wheel drivers easily understand the road situation, and also provides real-time traffic information to people on the streets. However, it has not been sufficiently studied on how traffic information based on VMS influences on the drivers' selection of route. This study investigated how drivers use VMS traffic information and how they are satisfied with it. Then, the model of drivers' route selection was specified with the types of traffic information and the expected travel time to examine the influence on the selection of drivers' route. The model was estimated and analyzed in three types according to the condition of detour roads, and the rate of route change and the degree of sensitivity was calculated from the estimation. The results of analysis are as follows. the $1^{st}$ type model showed the 10% of route change for the travel time saving of 5minutes, and the 81.6% of route change for the travel time saving of 20minutes. The $2^{nd}$ type led to the range of route change from 14.2% to 92.7% over the 5 through 20 minutes of travel time saving. The $3^{rd}$ model resulted in the 99.1% of route change. The sensitivity of route change showed the highest for the travel time saving of 11 minutes with the $1^{st}$ type model, 9 minutes with the $2^{nd}$ type model, and 5 minutes with the $3^{rd}$ type model respectively.

Design and Evaluation of IMI Multilayer Hybrid Structure-based Performance Enhanced Surface Plasmon Resonance Sensor for Biological Analysis (생물학적 분석용 IMI 하이브리드 다중레이어 구조 기반 성능 향상된 표면 플라즈몬 공명 센서의 설계 및 특성 분석)

  • The performance of a surface plasmon resonance sensor is evaluated based on the sensitivity (nm/RIU) and sharpness from the full width at half maximum (FWHM) and the peak depth of a resonance peak. These factors are determined by the materials and conformational properties of the sensing structure. In this paper, we investigated an optimized insulator-metal-insulator (IMI) multilayer-based surface plasmon resonance sensor structure to simultaneously achieve high sensitivity, narrow FWHM, and deep peak depth while using gold for the metallic film layer which occurs peak broadening. By adopting the optimized structure, sensitivity of 8,390 nm/RIU, FWHM of 11.92 nm, and a resonance peak depth of 93.1% were achieved for 1.45-1.46 refractive index variation of the sensing layer. With the suggested structure conformation, high sensitivity and resolution of sensing performance can be achieved.

Comparison of LCOE of the Southwest Offshore Wind Farm According to Types and Construction Methods of Supporting Structures (해상풍력 지지구조물 형식 및 시공 방법에 따른 서남해 해상풍력실증단지의 균등화발전비용 비교)

  • In order to understand the economic feasibility of an offshore wind farm, this paper analyzed the differences in LCOE (levelized cost of energy) according to the support type and construction method of the substructure in terms of LCOE and sensitivity analysis was conducted according to the main components of LCOE. As for the site to be studied, the Southwest Offshore Wind Farm was selected, and the capital expenditures were calculated according to the size of the offshore wind farm and the installation unit. As a result of the sensitivity analysis, major components showed high sensitivity to availability, turbine related cost, weighted average cost of capital and balance of system related cost. Moreover, the post-piling jacket method, which was representatively applied to the substructure of the offshore wind farm in Korea, was selected as a basic plan to calculate the capital expenditures, and then the capital expenditures of the pre-piling jacket method and the tripod method were calculated and compared. As a result of analyzing the LCOE, it was confirmed that the pre-piling jacket method of the supporting structure lowers the LCOE and improves economic feasibility as the installation number of turbines increases.

  • 최근 주요 자동차 업체들에서 수소 연료전지 자동차의 시장 출시 또는 출시 계획 발표가 이어지고 있다. 하지만 아직까지도 해결되어야 할 몇몇 기술적 문제들이 남아 있다. 시장 출시를 고려할 때 가장 민감한 요소 중 하나가 가격일 것이다. 이를 위해 여러 구성 부품들의 가격 저감이 필요하고, 특히 백금 촉매 사용량을 줄이는 것이 가격 저감에 상당한 영향을 미칠 것이다. 본 논문에서는 PEMFC용 Pt 기반 촉매의 성능 향상 메커니즘에 대해 소개하고 있는데, 촉매 성능의 향상은 촉매 사용량 저감에 상당한 기여를 할 수 있다. 최근까지 발표된 Pt 기반 촉매들의 성능 향상 메커니즘을 이해하는 것은 궁극적으로 연료전지 시스템에 사용되는 촉매 사용량을 절감할 수 있는 기초가 될 수 있을 것이다.

세라믹 나노복합재료의 기계적 특성

  • 나노복합재료는 기계적, 전기적, 전자기적 특성을 향상하거나 새로운 기능을 갖는 신소재를 제조할 수 있는 가능성으로 인하여 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 우수한 특성을 갖는 나노복합재료의 제조에 있어서 주의할 점은, 나노복합재료가 다른 세라믹재료에 비하여 제조공정에 민감하게 영향을 받는다는 것이다. 출발원료, 혼합방법, 건조방법 등의 선택에 따라서 특성이 향상될 수도 있고 역으로 저하될 수도 있다. 이러한 현상은, 초미립자의 비표면적이 크기 때문에 균일한 분산이 어렵고 응집이 발생하기 쉽기 때문이라 생각된다. $Si_3N_4/SiC$ 나노복합재료의 경우는 고온강도와 열피로에 대한 저항성이 획기적으로 향상되어 $1400^{\circ}C$ 이상에서도 사용할 수 있는 초고온재료로로서의 가능성을 갖고 있다. 그러나 이러한 나노복합재료의 실용화를 위해서는 제조공정이 단순하고, 경제성이 있는 신 공정의 개발과 GPS 소결 등에 관하여 보다 많은 연구가 필요하다. 그러나 계속적인 환경오염에 관한 국제적 규제의 강화, 국제 원유가의 상승 등은 열기관의 열효율 향상을 위해서 초고온에서 사용할 수 있는 나노복합재료와 같은 재료를 요구할 것이며, 또한 정보통신산업 발전에 따른 소형화, 고 기능화는 우수한 특성과 새로운 기능을 갖는 나노복합재료의 개발과 실용화를 앞당기는 계기가 될 것으로 생각된다.

Extended-list SQRD-based Decoder for Improving BER Performance in V-BLAST Systems (V-BLAST 시스템에서의 BER 성능 향상을 위한 Extended-list SQRD-based Decoder)

  • In the QR Decomposition-based (QRD) decoding class, the system performance is sensitive to the error propagation. Thus, it is critical to correctly decode the previous layers. One apprach to desensitize the error propagation is to propose the optimal decoding order of layers. In this wort we propose a new extended-list Soled QRD-based (SQRD) decoding approach. In the proposed decoding scheme, the solution of the few first layers is extended as the list of promising possible solutions. By doing so, the diversity of the lowest layer is increased. As a result, the system performance is less sensitive to the error propagation than its counterparts. The proposed approach is verified by the computer simulation results.

  • In this paper, a modified sensitivity control for the semi-active suspension system with a magneto-rheological (MR) damper is investigated. A 2-d.o.f quarter-car model together with a 6th order polynomial model for the MR damper is considered. For the purpose of suppressing the vertical acceleration of the sprung mass, the square of the vertical acceleration is defined as a cost function and a modified sensitivity control that updates the current input in the negative gradient of the cost function is proposed. The implementation of the proposed algorithm requires only the measurement of the relative displacement of the suspension deflection. The local stability of equilibria of the closed loop nonlinear system is proved by investigating the eigenvalues of the linearized ones. Through simulations, the passive suspension, the skyhook control, and the proposed modified sensitivity control are compared.

$In_2O_3$박막위에 증착된 초박막 Co 촉매가 NO 의 감도에 미치는 영향

  • 최근 자동차 배기 가스 유출에 의한 환경문제가 심각하게 대두되고 있고, 이에 따라 그 중 NOx, SOx 등의 유해가스 검출을 위한 센서 개발이 강력히 요구되고 있다. 본 실험은 자동차에서 배출되는 NO 가스에 대한 민감한 센서 제작을 목적으로 In2O3 박막을 성장시켜 그 특성을 측정하였고, NO 가스에 대한 민감도를 증가시키기 위해 7 ~32 정도의 초박막 Co 촉매를 증착하여 NO 감도에 미치는 현상을 조사하였다. In2O3 2˝ target(순도 99.99%)을 사용하여 RF power와 Ar/O2의 비를 변화시켜가면서 상온에서 알루미나 기판위에 In2O3 박막 성장시켰다. 박막을 성장시킨 후 10$0^{\circ}C$에서 5$0^{\circ}C$까지 온도를 변화시키면서 공기 중에서 열처리를 하였다. In2O3 박막의 결정성은 XRD를 이용하여 측정하였고 표면 특성을 알아보기 위해 AFM과 SEM 측정을 하였다. XRD 분석결과 상온에서부터 50$0^{\circ}C$까지 회절 peck의 강도차이는 있었지만 모든 시편에서 In2O3 박막이 cubic 구조로 성장함을 알 수 있었다. 100ppm 농도 NO 가스에 대한 센서 소자의 감도를 20$0^{\circ}C$~40$0^{\circ}C$ 온도 영역에서 측정하였다. 순수한 In2O3 의 경우 감도(S=Ra/Rg)는 25$0^{\circ}C$에서 S 6 정도로 가장 좋았다. 반면에 Co 촉매를 표면에 흡착시킨 경우 20$0^{\circ}C$~25$0^{\circ}C$ 부근에서 반응속도가 매우 빨라지고, 150 정도 Co를 흡착시킨 센서의 경우 S 14 로 감도가 매우 향상됨을 알 수 있었다.

Spatially Adaptive CLS Based Image Restoration (CLS 기반 공간 적응적 영상복원)

  • Human visual systems are sensitive to noise on the flat intensity area. But it becomes less sensitive on the edge area. Recently, many types of spatially adaptive image restoration methods have been proposed, which employ the above mentioned huan visual characteristics. The present paper presents an adaptive image restoration method, which increases sharpness of the edge region, and smooths noise on the flat intensity area. For edge detection, the proposed method uses the visibility function based on the local variance on each pixel. And it adaptively changes the regularization parameter. More specifically, the image to be restored is divided into a number of steps from the flat area to the edge regio, and then restored by using the finite impulse response constrained least squares filter.
