The Effect of Organic Fertilizer According to the Duration and Amount of Soil Chemical Changes on Yield Components of Rice (유기질비료의 사용기간과 사용량에 따른 토양화학성변화와 벼의 수량구성요소에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is identify chemical changes in yield components of soil using organic fertilizer for cultivating rice and establish reasonable methods of fertilization. In chemical change, comparing the control plot, the soil using organic fertilizer consistently for three years for cultivating rice showed an increase in pH and available phosphate in the experiment plots provided by the organic fertilizer, increase in spikelet number and 1000 grain weight in terms of yield components, and increase in yield in the three-year experiment plots. As for the quality of brown rice, the rate of head rice showed no difference when compared to that of the control plots. As for protein content, it was difficult to identify a statistical significance between the control plots and the experiment plots in 2009, but since 2010, the protein content of the experiment plots has been lower than that of the control plot, indicating that fertilization of organic fertilizer was effective in terms of rice quality. In conclusion, long-term use of organic fertilizer improved the chemical properties of soil and increased yield when compared to practical fertilization. Reasonable fertilization was identified to fertilize the nitrogen component of organic fertilizer to be a level of 12kg/10a.

  • 본 실험은 백세주 주정박이 벼의 생육과 토양 비옥도 개선에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 백세주 주정박은 압착된 주박을 재 발효시켜 단식증류기로 증류하여 알코올을 회수 후 발생된다. 실험 처리구는 무시용, 요소, 주정박 처리구로 하였고, 벼 질소비료 표준시비량 11kg N/10a를 기준으로 하여 전량 기비로 사용하였다. 백세주 주정박의 유효성분과 유해성분을 분석하였고, 토양에 주정박을 시용 전 후의 이화학적 분석을 하였다. 벼 실험 품종은 오대벼(Oryza sativa L.)이고, 벼의 생육과 수량 및 미질을 분석하였다. 백세주 주정박의 pH는 3.60, 유기물함량 90.12%, 염농도 0.72ds/cm, 수분함량 88%, 질소 0.21%, 인산 0.24%, 칼리 0.09%로 나타났다. 유해성분(중금속)분석결과 비소 0.03ppm, 크롬 0.09ppm, 구리0.91ppm, 납 0.05ppm, 니켈 0.05ppm, 아연 1.30ppm, 망간 3.28ppm, 철 34.86ppm로 나타났다. 토양이화학적 분석결과 주정박 시용처리구의 유기물함량과 질소 및 인산은 각각 23.0g/kg. 0.11%, 89mg/kg로 무시용과 요소처리구에 비해 유의한 차이를 보였다. 벼 이식 후 140일째 생육분석결과 초장 82.60cm, 옆폭 1.40cm, 옆장 37.70cm, 지상부건물중 59.21g로 다른 2개 처리구에 비해 유의한 차이를 보였다. 벼의 수량은 주정박 시용 처리구가 449.0kg/10a로 무시용 89.66kg/10a와 요소 401.66kg/10a에 비해 유의적인 차이를 보였다. 백세주 주정박 시용을 통해 토양 개량 효과를 기대할 수 있고, 공시 토양의 토양 개량 효과가 벼의 생육에 긍정적인 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타남에 따라 백세주 주정박의 토양개량제로서의 활용 가능성을 확인하였다.

Occurrence of Hull Dehydration of Rice in Honam Plain Area in 1998 (호남평야지에서 1998년 벼알마름 현상 발생)

  • The hull dehydration in dough stage did not serious affect the rice yield though grain appearance texture may decline by severe occurrence of the symptom. As to white head in heading stage of rice, the occurrence of hull dehydration in 1998 was directly affected by high temperature, low air humidity and sometimes of strong wind and sunshine in early September. At harvest stage, 1,000-grain weight of brown rice was not found to be significantly different between the hull dehydrated grains and normal ones. That reason can be considered that the hull dehydration occurred hill was not injured on the leaf and rachis branches therefore the function of assimilation and translation of rice plant was not affected. The ratio of imperfect rice kernel such as green, cracked and white belly increased. The increase of cracked rice by the hull dehydration may caused by concurrent dehydration of kernel, or by insufficient water supply into kernel due to breaking of vascular bundles in glume.

  • Demand for the rice of better eating quality is ever increasing in recent years. However. the rice is presently handled by the government and merchants as mixture of the rice of different varieties from the purchase of the rough rice to storing and milling. It is well known that the eating quality of rice varies significantly by variety. The present study aimed at evaluation of the effect of blending different rices on the change in palatability of low and high eating quality rices. The eating quality of a low quality japonica rice was improved significantly on sensory panel test by blending it with the Dongjin rice. one of the highest eating quality. only when the Dongjin was blended to 80 percent by weight. and also it was same for blending an ordinary quality rice of mixed varieties which has been stored by a governmental storehouse with a top class rice on free market. The eating quality of aged Tongil type rice. produce of 1987 and 1989 and a mixture of varieties, was improved significantly by blending it with a high quality glutinous rice on market to 20 per cent by weight. But Samgang rice. a high eating quality Tongil type variety. and an ordinary quality rice of Japonica varieties were not significantly improved by blending them with the glutinous rice by 20 per cent. Blending rices of the variety Nagdong. ordinary quality among varieties and low quality among Japonicas, Chucheong, a high quality rice among Japonicas. and Dongjin. one of the best eating quality rice among Japonicas, each other in different ratios did not affect significantly the sensory scores.

Optimum Transplanting Date for Production Quality Rice in Honam Plain Area (호남평야지에서 고품질 쌀 생산을 위한 적정 이앙시기 구명)

  • This experiment was conducted to identify the proper time of transplanting at Iksan plain area in Honam area from 2002 to 2004. The rice cultivars tested were Samcheonbyeo, Nampyeongbyeo and Hwaseong­byeo. The results are summarized as follows: The number of spikelets were most when transplanted on May 30 in all maturing types at southern plain. The ripened grain rates vary depending on location and transplanting dates. The proper time of transplanting for both of Samcheonbyeo and Nampyeongbyeo was between May 30 to June 9 and May 30 or later for Hwaseongbyeo. The highest head rice yield was obtained when transplanted on June 9 regard­Bess of the maturing types. The optimum transplanting dates according to maturing types with respect to the yield of head rice, ripened grain rates and the quality for both early and medium type was between May 30 to June 19, for mid-late type between May 30 to June 9.

Establishment of Perfect-Drainage Period for Reduction of Salt Injury and Improvement of Grain Filling Ratio in the Newly Reclaimed Land (신간척지에서 염해경감 및 등숙률 향상을 위한 완전낙수시기 구명)

  • This research was carried out to establish perfect-drainage time in order to stabilize rice yield and improve rice quality. Treatments of perfect-drainage were conducted 5 days interval during 25 days to 50 days after heading date in the field of Saemangeum Gyehwa, newly reclaimed land. Accumulated temperature after heading date in 2010 increased about $100^{\circ}C$ and precipitation amount decreased a little compared to normal year harvesting time. Average panicle number was 16.5 and spikelet per panicle was 88. Perfect drainage time treatment after 40~50 days was 3% higher in percent ripened grain and 0.6 g heavier in 1,000 grain weight than treatment after 25~35 days. There was no difference of rice yield between perfect drainage time treatment after 25 days and 30~35 days, but rice yield was 7~8% higher in treatment after 40~50 days than 25 days. Head rice ratio in treatment after 35 days was the highest and the sooner perfect drainage time, the lower protein content. Soil moisture negatively correlated with soil hardness and EC in this result. With this results, we proposed that the time of perfect drainage in newly reclaimed land to stable rice production is 40~50 days after heading date.

Influence of Nitrogen Level and Planting Density on the Leaf Characteristics of Rice(Oryza sativa L.) Cultivars (질소비료수준과 재식밀도가 벼 품종의 엽형질에 미치는 영향)

  • [n order to find out the effects of nitrogen fertilizer and planting density on the leaf characteristics of high yielding cultivars of rice, Dongjin (Japonica type) and Samkang (Tongil type) were .grown under two nitrogen levels (150 and 250 kg N/ha) and three planting densities (30 ${\times}$ 15 cm, 30 ${\times}$ 12 cm, 30 ${\times}$ 9 cm. Leaf blade, sheath and dry weight of individual leaf. the number of green leaves after flowering were measured. Samkang was characterized as longer and wider leaf blade and sheath than Dongjin, less sensitive to nitrogen fertilizer and planting density, and higher proportions of green leaves after flowering. These morphological characteristics of Samkang caused an increase of grain yield by 30 per cent.

Characteristics of Grain Quality at Different Transplanting Times among Rice Cultivars I. Variation of Heading and Yield Related Characteristics (벼의 품종별 이앙시기가 미질 특성에 미치는 영향 I. 출수 및 수량관련형질의 변화)

  • A study was carried out to investigate the variation of heading date and related yield components at Honam Agricultural Experiment Station in Korea. The treatments were consisted of five transplanting time: from May 5 to July 5 at 15-day intervals, and six cultivars: two early-maturing, two mid-maturing and two late-maturing cultivars. The results showed that variation of heading at different transplanting time was not significant at transplanting after June 5 in early-maturing cultivars, and days of heading from seeding for all tested cultivars were shorter in later transplanting times. The yield components such as numher of spikelcts, percentage of ripened grain and 1.000 grain weight were found to he great on May 5 in early-maturing cultivars and on June 5 in mid-and late-maturing cultivars. Yield was maximized at transplanting of May 20 in early maturing and on June 5 in mid-and late-maturing cultivars. When transplanting time was late, the yield difference hetween early maturing cultivars and late nldtunng ones showed 44 to 77kg/10a in the transplanting of June 20, and 26~30kg/10a in the transplanting of July 5 indicating that the late-maturing cultivars take more advantage than early-maturing ones.

Rice Production, Distribution, and Utilization in China (중국의 쌀 생산, 유통 및 이용현황)

  • 쌀은 중국에서 중요한 식량작물로 제9차 5개년 계획(1966-2000년) 동안 재배면적 31.4백만 ha이며 생산량은 단위 ha당 6,303kg으로 198백만톤에 이르며 이는 재배면적으로는 식량작물의 27.7%, 그리고 생산량으로는 전체식량작물의 40%를 각각 점하고 있다. 이러한 재배면적과 생산량은 각각 세계전체면적과 생산량의 20.7%와 33.7%를 차지하는 많은 량이다. 중국의 남부지역은 전지역의 73.5%가 이모작으로 재배되며 주품종은 Indica이다. 중국의 중부지역은 이모작과 일모작의 재배형태가 2:3으로 공존하고 있으며 양쯔강 이북은 주로 일모작의 형태이다. 중국의 쌀 재배면적은 1960년대 이후 점차 증가하다가 1980년대 후반으로 정체되었다가 최근 90년대 말에 이르러서는 재배면적의 감소가 가속화되고 있으나 단보당 생산량은 꾸준히 증가하고 있다. 2001년 중국의 쌀소비량은 138백만톤으로 이의 85.2%는 식량용으로, 5.8%는 사료용으로, 1.3%는 가공용, 1.5-2.0%는 수출용으로 그리고 1.2%는 종자용으로 소비되었다. WTO체제에 들어서도 중국의 쌀 생산에는 크게 영향을 받지않을 것으로 여겨지는데 그 이유로는 충분한 생산능려과 자급률, 쌀의 낮은(4%) 국제교역비율, 총생산량에 대한 낮은 쿼터비율 등을 들 수 있다. 그러나 WTO체제 가입에 따른 압력 또한 존재하는 것이 사실인데 그것은 낮은 품질, 국제가격보다 높은 국내가격 등을 들 수 있다. 향후 중국 쌀의 발전적 전략들로는 쌀의 안정적 발전을 지속하는 일, 쌀 재배구조 조정과 함께 높은 미질을 가지는 품종육종, 기계화를 비롯한 경작기술의 발달, 쌀과 부산물 가공기술의 개발연구, 특징 기능을 함유하는 유전공학적 기술의 적용, 토지와 도시화 그리고 식량순환에 시스템의 개혁 등 과학기술을 고양하는 일 등을 들 수 있다.TEX>$\times$10cm의 소식일수록 짧아서 재식주수와 경장은 정의상관이 인정되었다. 9 경직경은 30$\times$10cm, 40$\times$10cm의 소식일수록 크고 20$\times$10cm의 밀식일수록 작았다 10. 수량구성요소인 주근장과 수량인 건근중은 30$\times$10cm, 40$\times$10cm의 재식주수가 적을수록 높아서 재식주수와는 부의 상관이 인정되었다. 11 이상과 같은 결과로 보아 경직경이 크고 주근장이 길어서 10a당 건근중이 많은 30$\times$10cm(33주/$m^2$)가 알맞은 재식거리였다.에 대한 인식을 새롭게 하고 농약취급시의 건강장해예방행동을 촉구하는 등의 효과도 높은 것으로 예방의학적인 유용성이 크다고 볼 수 있다. 미침을 알 수 있었다. 대두 단백질로 코팅된 golden delicious는 상온에서60일 동안 보관하였을 경우, 사과표피의 색도 변화를 현저히 지연시킴을 확인하였다. 또한 control과 비교하여 성공적으로 사과에 코팅하였으며, 상온에서 보관하여을 때 사과의 품질을 30일 이상 연장하는 효과를 관찰하였다. 이들 결과로부터 대두단백질 필름이 과일 등의 포장제로서 이용할 가능성을 확인하였다.로 [-wh] 겹의문사는 복수 의미를 지닐 수 없 다. 그러면 단수 의미는 어떻게 생성되는가\ulcorner 본 논문에서는 표면적 형태에도 불구하고 [-wh]의미의 겹의문사는 병렬적 관계의 합성어가 아니라 내부구조를 지니지 않은 단순한 단어(minimal $X^{0}$ elements)로 가정한다. 즉, [+wh] 의미의 겹의문사는 동일한 구성요 소를 지닌 병렬적 합성어([$

Cooking Quality and Texture of Japonica-Indica Breeding Type and Japonica Type, Korean Rice (한국산(韓國産) 미곡(米穀), 통일계(統一系)와 일반계(一般系)의 취반특성(炊飯特性) 및 Texture 에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • Tirteen rice varieties of Japonica-Indica briefing type (J-I breeding type) and ten of Japonica type produced in Korea in 1985 were studied on cooking quality of milled rice and texture of cooked rice. The results are as follows: in the Looking quality, water uptake ratio of cooked rice and total solid in residual liquid showed significant $(p<2.172^*\;and\;2.419^*,\;respectively)$ between J-I breeding type and Japonica type The water uptake ratio of cooked rice was higher J-I breeding type than Japonica type but the total solid and intensity of iodine blue value in residual liquid were lower J-I breeding type than Japonica type. Minimum cooking time of milled rice showed significant $(p<2.375^*)$ between J-I breeding type and Japonica type for texture of cooked rice. The cooking time of J-I breeding type shorter than Japonica type. Hardness and cohesiveness in texture of cooked rice appeared to be significant cant $(p<4.370^{***}\;and\;2.371^*,\;respectively)$ between J-I breeding type and Japonica type, and then hardness was higher Japonica type than J-I breeding type, but cohesiveness was lower Japonica type than J-I breeding type. The correlation coefficients between amylose content and adhesiveness of varieties in the same type was $-0.922^{**}$ in J-I breeding type and $-0.915^**}$ in Japonica type. The correlation coefficients between protein content and hardness of the varieties in the same type was $0.954^{**}$ in Japonica type and so denoted as positive correlation. And the scatter diagram between protein and hardness could be divided into J-I breeding type and Japonica type.
