Stage art basically builds upon the essence of "seeing," and at the same time, possesses relativity in showing and seeing. Stage lighting uses artificial light to solve the essence of "seeing", which is the foundation of stage art, and coming into the modern age, its role has been enhanced to an important medium for visual expression in stage art, due to the lighting tools that developed at a rapid pace along with the discovery of electricity, as well as the development of optics. Therefore, not only does lighting use a medium known as light in a field of stage art that gives mental and emotional inspiration to the audience, and aesthetically expresses time and space. In other words, stage lighting is a complex function of light engineering (technology and science) and aesthetic sense (feeling and art). This study aims to do research on methods for the visualization of stage space through lighting, mainly focused on dancing. I have studied the basics of stage lighting, its relations with other fields of stage art, and the functions and characteristics of lighting. Results show that lighting could be used to maximize the visualization of dancing and emphasizing the artistic growth of lighting and its ability to aesthetically express and I came to the following conclusions. First, lighting uses the forms and directions of light that various tools are able to produce in order to visualize the space on stage, and can maximally express the image that the work seeks. Second, it is possible to use lighting, through the movement of light, as a visual representation of the configuration of space in dancing works. Third, through the expression of visual and spatial aspects created by light, the work's dramatic catharsis can bring out mental and emotional feelings form the audience. Fourth, lighting can be seen not as a supporting role, but as an original visual design. To conclude, in order for lighting to be freed form the simple function of "lighting up the stage," which a majority of people think is common knowledge, and grow as one area in art, lighting designers must understand the intentions of the choreographer and the work with creativity and artistry they must consider light and color as an aesthetic language in order to heighten the effects of the work and allow it to partake as one element of work creation, so that lighting will be treated as a form of art.
Around the turn of 21st century, there has been a major technological shift in the animation industry. With development of reality-based computer graphics, major American animation studios replaced hand-drawn method with the new 3D computer graphics. Traditional animation was known for its simplified shapes such as circles and triangle that makes characters' movements distinctive from non-animated feature films. Computer-generated animation has largely replaced it, but is under continuous criticism that automated movements and reality-like graphics devaluate the aesthetics of animation. Although hand-drawn animation is still produced, 3D computer graphics have taken commercial lead and there has been many changes to acting of animated characters, which calls for detailed investigation. Firstly, the changes in acting of 3D characters can be traced from looking at human-like rigging method that mimics humanistic moving mechanism. Also, if hair and clothing was part of hand-drawn characters' acting, it has now been hidden inside mathematical simulation of 3D graphics, leaving only the body to be used in acting. Secondly, looking at "Stretch and Squash" method, which represents the distinctive movements of animation, through the lens of media, a paradox arises. Hand-drawn animation are produced frame-by-frame, and a subtle change would make animated frames shiver. This slight shivering acts as an aesthetic distinction of animated feature films, but can also require exaggerated movements to hide the shivering. On the contrary, acting of 3D animation make use of calculated movements that may seem exaggerated compared to human acting, but seem much more moderate and static compared to hand-drawn acting. Moreover, 3D computer graphics add the third dimension that allows more intuitive movements - maybe animators no longer need fine drawing skills; what they now need is directing skills to animate characters in 3D space intuitively. On the assumption that technological advancement and change of artistic expressionism are inseparable, this paper compares acting of 3D animation studio Pixar and classical drawing studio Disney to investigate character acting style and movements.
What distinguishes Impression Liu Sanjie, directed by Zhang yimou from other stage performances lies in its use of space. Firstly, it breaks the regular way of performing in a limited theater space but instead, impression Liu sanjie bases the stage activities on the real nature scenery. Secondly, it promotes the local culture by combining the unique color effect of the particular nature scenery with its use of the scenery's natural space, with an aesthetic precision. In another word, Impression Liu Sanjie is not a simple performance set on the natural scenery but more of a promotion to the local culture, through the concept of "environment friend" between human and nature, which is brought by mixing the unique color of natural scenery and its natural space. This research analyzes the Impression Liu Sanjie's use of space basing on Proxemics by Edward T Hall. Impression Liu Sanjie adapts its character from a folk tale, employs the form of natural scenery performance, and at the same time to the largest extent throughout its creating process respects the local culture and its natural space. As a result, the performance presents the idea of "environmentally friendly".

The first accurate estimate of the Earth's circumference was made by the Hellenism scientist Eratosthenes (276-195 B.C.) in about 240 B.C. The simplicity and elegance of Eratosthenes' measurement of the circumference of the Earth by mathematics abstraction strategies were an excellent example of ancient Greek ingenuity. Eratosthenes's success was a triumph of logic and the scientific method, the method required that he assume that Sun was so far away that its light reached Earth along parallel lines. That assumption, however, should be supported by another set of measurements made by the ancient Hellenism, Aristarchus, namely, a rough measurement of the relative diameters and distances of the Sun and Moon. Eratosthenes formulated the simple proportional formula, by mathematic abstraction strategies based on perfect sphere and a simple mathematical rule as well as in the geometry in this world. The Earth must be a sphere by a logical and empirical argument of Aristotle, based on the Greek word symmetry including harmony and beauty of form. We discuss the justification of these three bold assumptions for mathematical abstraction of Eratosthenes's experiment for calculating the circumference of the Earth, and justifying all three assumptions from historical perspective for mathematics and science education. Also it is important that the simplicity about the measurement of the earth's circumstance at the history of science.
Director Choi Donghoon is the most famous director in Korea as a box office successor, especially (2102) has gained No. 1 box office attraction in Korean film history. However some critics have criticised the works of Dr. Choi because of their plebeianness. This paper focused on the reason of interaction with audiences through the theory of carnival of Mikhail M. Bakhtin. Because the theory of carnival is not only the adapted method to account for the power of popular culture to M. Baktin but also the useful method to understand the keys of interaction of Dr. Choi's films. It's not difficult to find the esthetic elements of carnival theory example for 'dethronement & coronation', 'overturn & ridicule', 'image of feast', 'language of square' in the films of Choi which are The Big Swindle(2004), Tazza: The High Rollers(2006), Woochi(2009), The Thieves(2012). Therefore this paper has endeavored that the box office attraction and success of communication with audiences is due to the realistic attitude and social reflection of Choi's films.
A recent concern about Goguryeo era reflects the efforts to find out our spiritual roots, which have descended from the ancient times; Goguryeo clothing study leads to analysis of our national spirit in terms of form. This study aims to analyze formal property and intrinsic meaning of Goguryeo clothing for Korean ramie clothing design and draw traditional images to derive design elements applicable to ramie clothing. On the basis of technical books, newspaper article, internet and precedent studies, theoretical study on Goguryeo clothing and ramie property was followed up with positive study to analyze the clothing on the Goguryeo ancient tomb mural. The results are as follows: First, a progressive spirit is to progress and develop anything actively; This spirit represents Goguryeo people's ambition and racial characteristic as horse-riding people; The rigidity of ramie fabric is suitable for expressing straight silhouettes and detail in Goguryeo dress. Second, a fluidity means flowing property in opposition to fixation; in the case of clothing, it has a tendency to change form according to body motions; The extensibility and crease-resistance of ramie fabric is suitable to express pleated skirts and holds high design value for modern people who tend to regard clothing as important individuality expression. Third, a universal property to introduce and receive; as Goguryeo was a prosperous country established by conquering an open plain, the period formed a society that recognized diversity by introducing foreign cultures freely; a universality suggests the direction of modernization of traditional ramie clothing and stimulates us to discovert new design through compromise between various cultures rather than to stick to traditional style. Considering the fact that precedent studies on traditional clothing are concentrated upon the Joseon period and also limited to formal analysis, this study aims to derive design elements for actual clothing making. These results are expected to be used as basic material for study as well as reference for designers who wish to design modern Korean clothing.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the formative characteristics and the aesthetic values of denim dresses from the 19th century until the $20^{th}$ century and analyze those changes shown in Paris Milan London New York collections from 2001 S/S to 2013/14 F/W. The results of this study are as follows; 1) In the mid-$19^{th}$ century, the denim pants were working suits. In the 1920's, they started to be recognized as ordinary clothing and they were supplied to women in World War II. In the 1950's, denim pants stood for youth and resistance, and they became popular among teenagers. In the 1960's, hippies who protested against the Vietnamese War would wear worn-out denim pants symbolizing peace and freedom. As they became more common in the 1970's, people all around the world wore the clothes. In the 1980's~90's, the waves of high class brand fashions brought in sensualism, extravagance, reactionary tendency, and so forth. Consequently, the aesthetic values of denim dresses have connotations of practicality, resistibility, ornamentation and femininity. 2) Practicality in recent collections is represented in classic fashion which features typical details and raw denim and modern fashion which is made with glossy denim and minimized details. Resistibility is represented in avant-garde fashion which features deformed or over-layered jackets and pants with damaged denim and vintage fashion which is made with wash-out and wild stone denim. Ornamentation is represented in ethnic fashion which is made with wash-out denim and ethnic prints and romantic fashion which features details such as ruffle, frill and shirring as well as lace and flowery decorations. Femininity is represented in sexy fashion which designs to expose or to focus in women's body and elegant fashion which is made with soft and glossy denim and hourglass silhouette.
This study, which was begun in order to create a metal molding by using lines, a basic element of design, examined various characteristics and concept of line and the beauty of lines based on previous research on the subject. The result showed that formative interpretation of lines largely depends on intentional expression by using thickness and rhythm of lines. In order to obtain a metal molding that provides both visual freedom and beauty, rather than the conventional formative expression of lines, I used red copper plate and Phosphor bronze line for creating a pattern based on transformation and repetition of lines and an artwork based on the pattern. The result was not only a creation of a plane but the senses of three-dimension, speed, and unity in the overall shape. Further research will need to be conducted regarding formative interpretation of lines and emotional and intrinsic beauty through expression of lines.
The purpose of the study is to promote the expansion of educational environment and students' competence through the application of smart learning. In G University in 2017, 118 freshmen in the department of Chemical-bio engineering who were taking Calculus I class were divided into 2 groups of experimental and control group. The study analyzed the effect of the various learning experience using educational technology and the interaction in the class through SNS on students' visual understanding and academic achievement. The result shows that the students' academic achievement and satisfaction in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group. This verifies the potential of smart learning in the field of mathematics in the tertiary level and suggests strategies for high quality smart learning.
Comparison and Convergence of the Blank Space in Chinese and Japanese Graphic Design This study discusses the philosophical foundation in Chinese and Japanese aesthetics. Most of the contemporary graphic designs in China lack influence or individual philosophy on aesthetics. In analyzing and comparing the use of blank-leaving in graphic design works showed that the traditional artistic sense of the blanks can enrich the cultural connotations of design and raise the artistic creation of the works. This paper used "convergence" to create a new approach on Chinese contemporary graphic design, especially on poster design. The application of blank-leaving in the graphic design has positive impact in the creation of excellent graphic design works that provide references and inspiration to develop a new blank on my own design.
