조선후기 관영건축공사의 회(灰)미장재와 공법에 관한 연구 - 영건의궤(營建儀軌)의 유회(油灰), 수회(水灰), 양상도회(樑上塗灰)를 중심으로 (A Study on the Materials and Technique of Lime Plaster Work in Government Constructions in the Late of Joseon Dynasty(17~19c) - Focused on the Lime Plaster Materials in 'Yeonggeon-Uigwe'(Construction Reports) -)

  • Since the 1970's, UNESCO and ICOMOS have adopted or emphasized on the principles of historic preservation. One of them is what to require a repair have not to be repaired beyond the limits of the features and techniques to have been born in those days of establishment. On the premise, this paper is to examine the materials and technique of lime plaster work in order for roof ridge, and for bond paste of stones and bricks in government constructions in the late of Joseon dynasty(17~19c). The result of this examination will come up with a basic conformity in the case of repairing the building established in the late of Joseon dynasty. This paper is carried out for the proper repair and restoration of architectural cultural properties. Construction reports and other documents in those days are examined for the study. Following conclusions have been reached through the study. The components of old plaster mixtures which agglutinate stones each other were quicklime, perilla oil, and paper fiber. The components of old plaster mixtures which point joint of black bricks consisted of slaked lime, perilla oil, paper fiber, and cereal starch. These components were the same as coat surface of roof ridges. In the case of times, one of the following sand, white clay, sap of boiled elm bark was added to these components for the purpose of high efficiency. These materials and techniques which applied to plaster work of those buildings had developed in the process of making royal tombs. But these materials and techniques were quite different from the present.

  • Recently, as the problems according to lack of skilled labour and superior construction materials were gathering strength, there were required the advent of a special materials in building construction division. As a view of the point, the cement-based Self leveling mortar was developed for improvements of the former problems. The Self leveling mortar has the all kinds of the properties as followed the premixed products in plant, self-smoofhing, non shrinkgae etc, accordingly the finishing of concrete floor don't need skilled labour. The purpose of this study is to establish the introduction of a finishing construction method for concrete floor and slab using the cement-based self leveling mortar. Presented is a study on the basic properties of fresh and hardened self leveling mortar. To this end, an actual floor's finishing construction using the cement-based self leveling mortar was conducted in approximately 1,800㎡ floor as to compare the flatness and levelness after finighing.

  • We intend to offer theoretical bases of earth construction technology through the analysis of cases of brickworks and plastering works in the city of Gumi, Kyeongsangbukdo. We search for those instances of earth buildings to confirm the trend that earth construction is recognized as environment-friendly, sustainable and newly spotlighted field to alternatives of building construction. We made a frame of analysis through theoretical consideration about earth construction and prior study. Then, we analyzed the selected buildings which is selected by priority in the city of Gumi as authorized preservation value, cultural assets and recently built modern constructions. We found out some problems in structural strength, durability and fire proofing and the invisible development of technologies of earth construction method in this case analysis.

  • External insulation method is used to conserve energy of buildings. However, the current external insulation method uses organic insulating materials to become a diffusion path in case of fire. In this study, the purpose of this study is to provide basic data on the required performance of the plastering material according to the CaCO3 powder addition of the finishing material of the external insulation method. In Figure 1, when powder was added, the adhesion strength decreased by 30% to 35% at 10% and 0% to 50% at 20% compared to Plain. In Figure 2, the moisture permeability increases approximately twice when powder is added. The results for the water absorption coefficient are shown in Figure 3.

  • 최근 주택 건설은 양적으로 팽창하면서 신공법, 신소재의 개발로 품질에 많은 발전을 하고 있으나 공동주택 공사 중 방바닥 미장은 인력난과 공기단축을 해결하기 위해 기계화 시공을 함으로서 방바닥 미장의 크랙발생 및 들뜸 현상으로 인한 하자 발생으로 경제적, 시간적 낭비가 많다. 공동주택 바닥미장의 균열은 재료적인 측면에서 볼 때 사용재료의 구성과 시공정도, 양생, 보양방법에 따른 각 요인이 복합적으로 작용하여 발생된다. 그러나 재료적인 측면에서 위 요인들을 제어하여 균열을 부분적으로 억제할 수 있으나 근본적인 균열방지는 불가능하다. 균열의 발생을 억제하기 위해서는 바닥미장 균열의 발생원인과 균열 저감기술에 대한 논리적인 분석이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 바닥미장 균열의 원인과 근본적인 억제를 위한 균열차단막의 메커니즘을 분석하고자 한다.

  • The history to have used lime in building construction was much long without distinction of the East or the West. The ancient nations of korean peninsula had used lime as construction material. The witness was discovered in the kings' tombs of fifth century. In the Joseon dynasty(15~19c), what applied several developed lime compounds to the kings' tombs have been recorded in 'Sanleong-Uigwe(山陵儀軌)' & 'Yeonggeon-Uigwe(營建儀軌)' of those days documents. Therefore, this paper is to examine the whole procedures from the product and provision of lime to its application through those days documents. Following conclusions have been reached through the study. Three lime compounds to be developed for the kings' tombs was extendedly applied to residential government buildings step by step within the current of time. These compounds to be used in the kings' tombs of the Joseon dynasty had been correlated to those of the ancient nations, which were nations of korean peninsula in narrow range, chinese and orient nations in broad range. These compounds have possibilities of development as the environmental-friendly building material. And these compounds should provide a standard specification for conservation & restoration of the traditional and cultural properties. I could confirm that the whole procedures had not been developed within limited space-time of the specified nation & period, but within interactions of the nations & periods. In the periods which disturb its interaction, the expansion of productivity in building construction was interfered.

On the premise, this paper is to examine the materials and technique of wall plaster work in the government building constructions in the Joseon dynasty. The result of this examination shall come up with a basic conformity in the case of repairing the building established in the late of Joseon dynasty. This paper is carried out for the proper repair and restoration of architectural cultural properties. Construction reports and other documents in those days are examined for the study. Following conclusions have been reached through the study. The materials and technique which applied to wall plaster work in those days were quite different from the present. The technique that was used to wall plaster of government buildings in those days was not a lime wall plaster, but sand coat one. The kinds of material for setting of the sand coat wall plaster had been revised with the change of the times or constructions. The main kinds of material were composed of sand, white clay, paper fiber, and cereal starch. However, the present materials were composed of sand, white clay. Therefore, the present materials and technique which applied to wall plaster work for the repair and restoration of architectural cultural properties have to be revised and corrected.

신소재의 피복두께에 따른 제방의 붕괴 거동 분석 (Analysis of breaching behavior of levee according to coating thickness of new substance)

  • 전 세계적으로 자연 친화, 하천생태계 보전, 친수하천 등을 조성하기 위한 대대적인 하천 정비사업이 활발히 진행 중에 있다. 최근 홍수로 인한 제방 붕괴에 대응하기 위한 제방의 안정화 및 개선을 위한 방법으로 기존의 시멘트와 같은 혼합물질을 사용하지 않고 환경 친화적이고 지속 가능한 대안에 대한 수요가 증가되고 있는 추세이며 현재 노후화 된 불안정 제방에 대한 보강대책을 수립해나가는 과정으로써 친환경 신소재를 활용하여 제방을 보호하는 연구가 수행되고 있다. 제방사면에 적용되는 신소재는 바이오폴리머를 활용한 재료로써 공동연구기관 카이스트에서 개발된 환경 친화적인 물질로 미생물에 의해 유도된 고인장 및 인체 무해성 등의 특성을 갖고 있으며 경제적 타당성인 측면에서 시멘트와 비교 분석 되어야 하고 실제 현장에서의 적용 가능성, 신뢰성 및 내구성 검토 등 성능을 보장하기 위한 지속적인 연구가 필요한 상황이다. 이에 본 안동하천실험센터에서는 중규모 제방을 직접 제작하여 수리모형실험을 통한 친환경 신소재 활용 제방의 안정성 및 성능 평가를 실시하였다. 수리실험 조건은 카이스트에서 제시된 레시피를 기반으로 먼저 분말형태의 바이이폴리머를 물과 희석하여 만들어진 바이오폴리머 용액을 흙과 혼합한 뒤 제방표면에 직접 미장작업을 수행하여 실험조건에 따라 일정한 두께(1cm, 3cm, 5cm)로 피복하였다. 이후 월류 붕괴 실험이 가능한 3 - 5일 정도의 양생기간을 거쳐 실험을 진행하였다. 실험결과는 다수의 고프로(GoPro) 및 비디오 카메라 등 다양한 영상장치를 이용하여 픽셀기반의 영상분석기법을 활용한 시간 흐름에 따른 제방 사면에서의 붕괴규모를 산정하여 신소재의 피복 두께에 따른 제체의 붕괴 거동 및 안정성을 평가하였으며, 또한 제방 파괴부에서의 흐름 상황 및 유속이 붕괴 발달에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여 PIV 분석을 실시하였다. 이번 연구의 최종목표는 지속적인 예비실험을 수행하여 월류 및 침투, 파이핑 등 파괴 인자 별 신소재의 성능 개선 및 개발된 새로운 공법에 대한 효과 검토를 통한 최적안을 도출함으로써 향후 실규모 실험실증을 통한 신소재 시공 및 공법에 대한 현장적용 가능성 검증을 거쳐 최종적으로 신소재 제방 공법 설계 기술, 신소재 및 공법 표준안, 제방공법 안정성 평가 가이드라인 등을 제시하고자 하며, 이러한 실험데이터를 축적함으로써 실제 제방 붕괴 시 비상대처계획 수립에 필요한 기초자료로 활용이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.
