  • Probabilistic approach is applied to the experiment of Probability Density Function to get the information. Especially this method will be useful to make the montage to compare similarity. But in the case of art painting, it is more difficult than montage image. In this case, we should study the habit of painter with characteristic point in the paintings. Especially we will study characteristic point in the oil paintings to decide truth or falsehood in this paper.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an infographic-based STEAM program for high school students and test its effectiveness. In this study, we converged high school 'art' education with 'Korean language' and 'mathematics.' The program was divided into four phases. The effectiveness of the program was analyzed by conducting matched pair t-test for 377 students at a girl's high school in Seoul before and after the program. The study found that the students' self-concept on mathematics and their attitude towards choosing science and engineering career showed significant increases after the program. By connecting high school courses through data visualization based on cognitive information design, findings from this study suggest that our infographic-based STEAM program should be implemented more frequently at high schools.

  • This study adopted a deconstructionist approach to utilise expressive features of architecture of Suzhou Chinese classical gardens to conduct an empirical study that combined traditional elements with modern design processes. Firstly, concepts and characteristics of Chinese classical primary forest and deconstructionism are deeply understood. Their artistic value and modern application potential are explored. Artistic layers of classical primary forest and deconstructionism were analysed to investigate their sculptural and expressive characteristics and to explore new design measures. Based on this, a deconstructivist design process was utilised to develop an experimental fashion design process that utilized the classical Chinese image of Wenlim. The outcome of this research was a 3D virtual fashion design, which could present new design possibilities. It is hoped that this study will provide an easy and accurate analytical framework for further research on traditional Chinese images in contemporary fashion.

  • Conventional vibration-measurement methods used for vibration testing typically employ accelerometers, which offer the significant advantage of accurately measuring vibrations at specific positions. However, they can only measure one point at a time as simultaneously measurements of multiple points can be economically disadvantageous. This study aims to overcome these limitations by analyzing the vibration outputs of accelerometers attached to a product and those obtained through image processing. The analysis involved assessing the measurement uncertainties and verifying the low-frequency vibration testing according to KS standards. The results validated and confirmed the reliability of the proposed camera-based image-processing vibration-measurement method, which exhibited a notable vibration-detection performance and measurement errors within 5% compared to accelerometers for low-frequency vibrations. This method has the potential for application across various vibration-response and durability evaluations. Future research should focus on expanding it to high-frequency vibration testing using high-speed cameras and further enhancing image-based vibration-analysis techniques.

  • The mobile phone and wireless network, location based technology and other newly introduced technologies and communication media gave birth to the new terminology "ubiquitous" and are changing our daily life. Influence of such technologies and communication media is not an exception in the arts. New media art pieces using these technologies are increasing, and taking on the characteristics of public art within a wider scope of a city as a backdrop, beyond the traditional boundaries of art galleries. Of such art, locative media art using locative media has a closer relationship with city space than any other form of an, and makes various attempts to allow the spectator to reinterpret and experience city space and induce communication. These characteristics of locative media art can be considered as a method that can solve quality problems of the city space, especially the loss of the sense of place and the absence of communication. is one such locative media project with a purpose of solving quality problems of city space, especially the recovery of commercial sites and inducing communication. This project uses the paths of the city as its canvas, movement of people as its brush, the color of the roads as its pallet, and by allowing the partakers to draw paths of their own and to share their paths with others. People are encouraged to share stories about their paths. The project proceeds using barcodes that are frequently used commercially. When users wish to create their own place, they can enter their place and colors of their choice using input devices installed in the city space. Paths that are created through such a process will be displayed in public areas throughout the city, shared with others, and can create and share a stories about the city using on/off-line media.
