Experiment of Air-Shower to Reduce Particulate Matter in Apartment Housing (공동주택에서 미세먼지 저감을 위한 에어샤워 성능실험)

  • High levels of fine dust is an increasing health concern in major cities such as Seoul. To improve the indoor air quality of apartments, this study examined the ability of an air shower system installed in an apartment unit to remove fine dust (as defined by ISO 12103-A2) from various clothing items of building occupants entering their apartment. Results of the experiment indicate that an air shower system is effective in removing final dust from clothing after one pass through the system. The fine dust removal efficiency for various clothing items was 74% for a dress suit, 70.6% for hiking clothes, 63.3% for knit-wear, 50.5% for a cotton t-shirt, and 38.8% for a coat. Fine dust removal efficiency increased with a second and third pass through the air shower system by an average of 9.1 and 13.9 percentage points respectively compared to a single pass through the system.

  • 미세퇴적물 이동연구는 최근 실험실 실험 또는 현장 자료에 의해 많은 진전을 이루어 왔으나, 아직은 미세, 점착성 퇴적물의 복잡한 과정을 다 고려한 신뢰성 있는 이동예측 수치모델의 개발에 충분한 지식이 축적되어 있지 않다. 수치모델에 의한 예측 기술을 계발하는데 있어서 해결해야 할 중요한 문제는 해저면에서의 퇴적물의 수송량을 정량화하는 일로서 난류하에서 점착성 퇴적물의 복잡한 퇴적 관련 현상에 관한 실험적 연구에 의해 각종 파라미터의 정량화가 요구된다.(중략)

  • 광 밴드 갭(photonic band gap)을 가지는 광 결정(photonic crystal)을 이용하여 만들어진 미세 공진기(micro-resonator)를 통해 상온 연속 동작하는 레이저가 최근 개발되었다. 이 미세 공진기는 이득매질(gain medium)이 성장된 반도체의 기판방향과 기판에 수직한 방향을 각각 이차원 광 결정과 판 도파로(slab waveguide) 구조의 전반사를 이용하여 제한하는 구조이다 이러한 광 밴드 갭 공진기의 공진 모드는 그 동안 계산적인 방법을 통해 이론적으로 연구되어 왔으며, 직접 모드의 특성을 측정하는 실험의 필요성이 크게 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 광 밴드 갭에 의해 형성된 2차원 미세 공진기내에서 레이저 발진된 모드의 특성을 먼장 영역(far-field regime)에서 측정 분석한 결과를 보고한다.   • In this paper, we study the scattering characteristics of particle using Mie scattering based on various variables such as particle size and refraction of particle, wavelength of laser and angle of receiver to get diffuse light. And we consist a optical system for particle detection, then analyzed the characteristics of the optical system. And based on these characteristics, we develop a particle detection chamber for particle counter and shows experiment result.

  • Microstepping control of two phase hybrid step motors provides high step resolution as well as smoothness of operation at low speed, and removes most of the resonance phenomena which is undesirable. This paper focuses on the development of a microstepping driver with enhanced performance. The developed microstepping driver can divide one step(l.8 degree) into 128 microsteps and supports current saving mode to remove the thermal problems which results from long time operation.

Effects of one or two applications of all-in-one adhesive on microtensile bond strength to unground enamel (Unground enamel에 대한 all-in-one adhesive의 1회 또는 2회 적용이 미세인장 결합강도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this study were to compare the effects of one or two applications of all-in-one adhesives on microtensile bond strengths (${\mu}$TBS) to unground enamel and to investigate the morphological changes in enamel surfaces treated with these adhesives using a scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Twenty-five noncarious, unrestored human mandibular molars were used. The unground enamel surfaces were cleansed with pumice. The following adhesives were applied to lingual, mid-coronal surfaces according to manufacture's directions; Clearfil SE bond in SE group, Adper Prompt L-Pop$^{TM}$1 coat in LP1 group, 2 coats in LP2 group, Xeno$^{\R}$III1 coat in XN1 group, and 2 coats in XN2 group. After application of the adhesives, a hybrid light-activated resin composite was built up on the unground enamel. Each tooth was sectioned to make a cross-sectional area of approximately 1.0 mm$^2$ for each stick. The microtensile bond strength was determined. Each specimen was observed under SEM to examine the morphological changes. Data were analyzed with one-way ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows; 1. The microtensile bond strength values were; SE (19.77 ${\pm}$ 2.44 MPa), LP1 (13.88 ${\pm}$ 3.67 MPa), LP2 (14.50 ${\pm}$ 2.52 MPa), XN1 (14.42 ${\pm}$ 2.51 MPa) and XN2 (15.28 ${\pm}$ 2.79 MPa). SE was significantly higher than the other groups in bond strength (p < 0.05). All groups except SE were not significantly different in bond strength (p < 0.05). 2. All groups were characterized as shallow and irregular etching patterns.
