  • The demand increasing of optical applications like as display devices derives interest for fabrication process. The product s development is apt to fabricate numerous thin and wide surfaces with micro pattern. Naturally that needs injection molding fabrication for the mass production. In existing manufacturing, the product quality is controlled by input fabrication condition from the outside. That can be called as a try and error method and not fundamentally solve the troubles; imperfect replication, war page, short shot, etc. To understand the cause and bring a solution, it is needed that check of changing in the cavity. This study can catch them. Data acquisition system about temperature and pressure distribution is settled and can get some data. From this research, other studies related with DAQ in cavity can start on the easier step.

  • It is important factors for a production system to get a profitable result in quality and reliability process. For this reason, there's are various type of research papers in a certain type of data acquisition and application to reliability and quality of the level of M2M devices. In general, a classification problem of slightly different signal such as sensing data is difficult to do with classical statistical methods. There's required real-time and instantaneous calculation properties in machine process. Especially a type of injection molding machine which has a property to be decided in accordance with short-term cycle process needs a solution that can be done a certain type of decision like as good or bad quality immediately. This paper presents a simple application of Kalman Filtering by single sensing data to injection molding process in order to get a correct answer from the real time sensing data.

  • Molding technologies for plastic microstructures have been extensively investigated during the last two decades, and theoretical and numerical studies on the micro molding process have provided efficient tools for the development of such molding technologies. In this paper, we present a review of numerical simulation methods for the micro molding process. Basic models for a description of the material property, governing equations of the flow and heat transfer during the molding process, and numerical methods will be described. Particularly, numerical simulations for micro injection molding and hot embossing processes will be presented, and their main features noted and compared to those for conventional molding processes.

  • We injection molded a wedge type of plate with micro prizm patterns on its surface and investigated the fidelity of replication of the micro pattern depending on the process parameter such as mold temperature, melt temperature, injection rate or packing pressure. The size of the size of the $90^{\circ}$ prizm pattern is $50{\mu}m$ and the size of the plate is about 300㎜${\times}$200㎜. The thicknesses are 2.6㎜. and 0.7mm at each edge of the wedge type of plate. The fidelity of the replication turned out quite different according to the process parameters and location of the patterns on the plate. We measured the cavity pressure and temperature in real-time during the molding to analyze the effect of the local melt pressure and temperature on the micro pattern replication.
