Preference on the locations of Future House in Metropolitan Area, In Case of Taegu-si and Its Neighboring Areas (대도시권 지역의 미래 주택입지 선호도, 대구광역시권을 사례로)

  • This study analyzes the decision-making processes for university students to choose the location of their future houses in metropolitan area. Based on their intuitive judgment, the university students prefer the general criteria, transportation, facility, education and society, and economy in order. The Kendall coefficient of concordance W which determines the association among the rankings of the students' judgement on the importance of the general criteria is so low. It means that the students highly disagree their rankings of the importance of the general criteria. The rankings of the importance of the criteria like as transportation and education society are concentrated on a mean value, but those of the criteria like natural environment and economy are relatively dispersed. The students prefer the area between the center of Taegu-si center and its outskirts, the outskirts of Taegu-si, and the center of Taegu'si in order as an alternative location of their future house. From the specific criteria like the price of land and house, the student's preferences on the alternative locations of future house are varied as compared with those of the general criteria. According to a sensitivity analysis, the student's preference on the center of Taegu-si is increased, but that on the the outskirts of Taegu-si is decreased as the importance of facility and transportation factor is increased. On the contrary, the student's preference on the outskirts of Taegu-si is increased, but that on the center of Taegu-si is decreased as the importance of natural environments is increased.

  • Recently, the social debate about the fourth industrial revolution has been actively developed, and it is predicted that the 4th Industrial Revolution will have a great influence on our society, cities, residential and industrial spaces. Especially, it is anticipated that the technological development of the 4th Industrial Revolution will cause a wide range of changes in residential style and culture. Therefore, it is necessary to grasp the direction of future change in advance and proactively respond to future tasks and strategies need. The purpose of this study is to predict the direction and characteristics of the mid - to long - term changes in future housing that will be brought about by the 4th Industrial Revolution and to define future social, spatial and technological impacts and issues and to find policy measures for them. STEEP (V) as a methodology for forecasting future has been used. It is a process of deriving technical and social issues by using Big Data. It collects various keywords and draws out key issues and summarizes social change patterns related to each core issue. The proposed strategy for future housing prediction and countermeasures can be used as a basic data for future directions of housing policy and suggests a process for deriving reasonable and reasonable results from multiple data sets rather than accurate prediction.

Residential Independence of Youth and Policy Implications (청년의 주거독립에 미치는 영향과 정책적 시사점)

  • This study addressed housing issues among various social problems of youth. With a focus on residential independence, this study analyzed the factors that lead youth to achieve residential independence. This study drew on nationwide data from the 'Youth Life Survey (2022)' with a sample size of 12,578. Binary logistic regression analysis was employed, with the dependent variable being residential independence. Key factors were as follows. The probability of residential independence was higher for men than women. Residential independence occurred mainly in non-metropolitan areas compared to metropolitan areas. Findings revealed that greater age, income, and assets facilitate achieving residential independence. In addition, public transport and cultural facilities were important for their residential independence, and it was found that the previous experience of residential independence had a positive effect. Policy implications derived from the findings are as follows. It is required to consider the heterogeneity and diversity of youth rather than implementing unitary policies. To ensure continuity and sustainability of self-reliance, long-term support programs are needed rather than temporary support. Moreover, it is required to offer public support comprehensively, instead of youth relying on support from personal networks, including their parents. An inclusive housing policy should be established to support youth for their residential independence in the future.

A Study on Children's Park Facility Planning Scheme according to User Behavior and Characteristics (이용자 행태 및 특성에 따른 어린이공원 시설 계획 방안에 관한 연구)

  • Among city parks, children's parks are more accessible than other parks in the city, and there are many users. They are used not only for children's playgrounds, but also for relaxation and leisure spaces for local residents. On the other hand, as a result of focusing on the quantitative increase by the engineering division by the Urban park Act, the consideration of the users of various classes is insufficient. The purpose of this study was to analyze the actual use of children parks in single - family housing and communal housing areas, and to identify the problems and future directions of the use of children parks. For this purpose, a case study and a document survey were conducted. First, through scholarship research, the theoretical review and the present situation were summarized based on the data, such as the papers and research reports related to the existing children's park. The status of the location, facilities and management were then identified through interviews and site visits with the children's park management staff. As a result, the children's park was utilized as a leisure space with high accessibility in the living area. As a result, the residence time of most users was within 1 hour to 2 hours. In particular, use by elderly people was higher than the use by children. Therefore, it would be desirable to design the future planning of the children's parks and to plan the arrangement in accordance with the future - oriented multi - purpose neighborhood type children's park.
