가상문서 개념에 기반을 둔 디지털도서관에서는 기존의 멀티미디어 문서를 활용하여 새로운 view를 생성하고 지식을 창출할 수 있는 기능을 제공한다. 이 접근 방법의 초점은 링크를 사용하여 기존의 자원을 연결하여 가상문서를 생성하고 필요한때 필요한 부분만 가져다가 통합하여 재현시킬 수 있는 기능과 이렇게 생성된 가상문서를 총체적으로 혹은 부분적으로 검색할 수 있다는 것이다. 반면에 W3C에서는 Topic Maps라는 개념을 표준안으로 하였는데, 이 개념은 근본 취지에 있어 가상문서의 개념과 매우 유사하나 문서를 끌어서 통합하는 기능이나 부분문서를 가져오는 기능 등이 없다. 여기서도 기존 문서에 링크를 걸어 사용자가 원하는 토픽이 연결될 수 있도록 하는 기능을 규정하고 있는데, 지식 표현 및 추론 등 다양한 응용에 관한 연구가 진행되어 오고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 충남대학교에서 개발한 가상문서 기반 디지털도서관 개념에 이 Topic Maps 기능을 연결하여 호환성을 제공하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이러한 호환성은 디지털도서관 분야에서의 핵심 이슈이며, 실용적인 관점에서 가상문서 기반 디지털도서관의 가용성을 향상시켜 궁극적으로 외부 시스템과도 연계될 수 있는 기반을 제공할 것이다.

This study conducted semiotic analysis of drama . Based on Paradigm, Syntagm concept, I apprehended the characteristics of descriptive structure of drama, characters and contemplated on ideology reflected in the drama. As a result, it has approaching method of Critical Pluralism which strongly exposes resistance ideology. The drama intensified Classical Ideology such as gender role, hero, and family ideology, also it consists of Humane Introspection Ideology such as self-understanding, mutual-understanding, and self-serving bias.

Typography's original meaning was printing by a plate or a printing type. Nowadays, Typography covers graphic design that composes types visually. Typography has an important mean because of two functions-linguistic and image building functions. Typography helps conveying information and making images. As new media appears, audio-visual factors take an important role. Therefore Typography's image building function be more important than linguistic function. This thesis will handle the relationship between typography and game contents. How typography is described through game contents and how typography's meaning are explained in game contents are topics. And typography's functions and factors on On-line game will be discussed.

This paper introduces a programmable multi-format video decoder(MFD) to support HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding) standard and for other video coding standards. The goal of the proposed MFD is the high-end FHD(Full High Definition) video decoder needed for a DTV(Digital Tele-Vision) SoC(System on Chip). The proposed platform consists of a hybrid architecture that is comprised of reconfigurable processors and flexible hardware accelerators to support the massive computational load and various kinds of video coding standards. The experimental results show that the proposed architecture is operating at a 300MHz clock that is capable of decoding HEVC bit-stream of FHD 30 frames per second.

We developed a Web courseware using multimedia based on STS(Science-Technology-Society) and constructivism on fossil of fourth grade natural science in Primary school, which is recognized to be hard to simulate and watch the phenomena in real life. At present, there are several researches manifesting the effectiveness of the theory with off-line instructional materials. However, there are few results which demonstrate its ability on the Web. The main objective of the paper is to apply the STS theory on a Web courseware and to observe its efficacy. The Web courseware based on the theory allows students to observe and experiment in the Web environment and to have diverse experiences and thoughts through communication via Web. The paper shows that Web courseware based on STS theory can improve its effectiveness in a collaborative learning environment by providing Web facilities such as E-mail, Web search, information sharing, chatting, and so on.

다시점 비디오는 여러 개의 시점(view-point)을 이용하여 현장감과 몰입감을 제공하는 새로운 형태의 멀티미디어 서비스이다. 시점의 개수가 증가함에 따라 방대한 양의 영상 데이터로 인한 영상 획득, 저장 전송 및 재현 시 문제가 발생한다. 또한 현재의 다시점 비디오에 관한 연구는 고정된 카메라로 환경이 제한되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 유동적인 카메라 환경에서 최적의 상관관계를 가지는 영상을 획득하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 영상의 일부분만을 선택하여 중복성을 먼저 측정하고, 중복성의 척도에 따라 사용자와의 상호작용을 통하여 높은 상관관계를 가지는 다시점 영상을 획득할 수 있다. 또한 영상 획득 시 카메라간의 조명 차이에 의해 발생되는 부정확성을 감소시키기 위해 영상 마스킹을 적용한다. 마스킹된 영상에 에지 검출 방법을 적용하여 변위 추정을 함으로써 계산 복잡도를 줄였다.

The function of image in visual communication is increasing by development of information. It pursuits not only direct and concrete reappearance of information but also infinite possibility of image expression by image. It is also course of future image communication. 본 논문에서는 입체 영상 재현을 위한 한쌍의 이미지 스트림 데이터를 MPES-4 표준을 기반으로 효율적으로 인코딩하는 방식을 제안하고, 이에 대한 인코더를 분석, 설계하였다. 최근 하이비전 보다 더욱 인간의 감성에 호소하는 영상 시스템으로서 3차원 입체 영상에 대한 기대가 고조되고 있고, 영상 정보의 현실감 부여와 정보 전달의 리얼리티에 관한 많은 정보론 요구하고 있다. 또한 현대의 정보 통신 분야는 방송, 통신 및 컴퓨터가 통합되고, 무선과 유선이 융합되는 새의운 정보 통신 기술로 진화하고 있다. 이러한 변화의 영향으로 영상 서비스에 대한 기술 개발 경향도 영상 정보의 효율적인 전달 및 저장이라는 기존의 동영상 압축 표준이 갖는 기능뿐만 아니라, 보다 더 향상된 기능을 제공하는 방향으로 나아가고 있다. 기존 입체 영상 인코딩 방식은 상관 관계가(Correlation) 높은 각각의 입체 영상을 독립적으로 인코딩하는 반면, 본 논문에서는 한 인코더에서 동시에 인코딩하는 방식을 제안하였으며, 이 방식은 저장 공간과 이미지 스트림 전송에 효율적일 것이나 MPEG-4는 현재 각광받고 있는 인터넷 등의 멀티미디어 서비스에 있어서 효율적이고 필수적인 핵심기술로 본 논문의 기반이 되었다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방식은 MPEG-4를 이용한 입체 영상 관련 응용에 적용될 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to express imagination which is not limited to the description of the facts and reproduce the photos as a media to explore the new possibilities for creative expression and the experience of the day-to-day operations for the implementation of the scheme of art genre. The art work for this study using digital images in Autodesk Combustion Workspace as the upper and lower layers were synthesized using the Transfer Mode feature. This study proposed a new photomontage production model, and challenged for the Possibility of a variety of visual representations of media art. Especially the production presents in this study can be applied to various video.

The management of image information settles as an important field with the advent of multimedia age and we are in need of the effective retrieval method to manage systematically image information. This paper has complemented the problem caused by the absence of space information that is a weak point of the existing color histogram method by assigning regions of features, and raised accuracy by adding texture and shape information. And existing methods using multiple features have problems that the retrieval process is embarrassed because each weight is set up manually. So we has solved these problems by assignment of weight applying fuzzy integral. As a result of experimenting with 1,000 color images, the proposed method showed better precision and recall than the existing method.
