유기농 조제분유 제품의 제조 기술 현황과 소비 전망

  • The common recognition which the organic product is compared as safe to baby does not mean there is especially plentiful nutrition in organic product. The part mineral content of agricultural products follows in soil quality, therefore plentiful chemical fertilizer-use to change soil quality results in the possibility of the mineral content change. The vitamin, carbohydrate, protein and fatty acid composition does not change largely from original nutrition facts. Rather than, the most advantage of organic product is relieving baby from agricultural chemical harms. It will be a strong desire for consumers to eat safe, believable and healthy food like organic foods. Furthermore, it will be sincerely good to environment and ecosystem.

유아식에서의 팔미틴산의 함량이 변성과 미네랄의 흡수에 미치는 영향

  • 30명의 건강한 유아를 세 그룹으로 나누어 팔미틴산을 포함한 주요 지방산의 조성을 모유에 맞춘 조제분유 A, 팔미틴산의 비율을 모유의 1/3으로 조절한 조제분유 B, 그리고 모유와 조제분유 B를 약1:1 비율로 각각 1주일간 섭취하도록 하여 그들의 변을 수거, 분석을 하였다. 변의 농도, 횟수 및 변의 색에 있어서는 세 그룹 모두 유의할만한 차이를 관찰할 수 없었으나, 팔미틴산을 포함한 포화지방산과 칼슘, 마그네슘, 철분의 흡수는 혼합수유한 그룹이 가장 높았으며 조제분유 A를 섭취한 그룹에서 가장 낮았다. 또한 조제분유 B를 섭취한 그룹의 경우 혼합수유그룹에 비해 다소 낮은 흡수를 보이긴 하였으나 조제분유 A를 섭취한 그룹과는 현격한 차이를 보였다. 모유의 대표적인 포화지방산인 팔미틴산의 조성을 낮춘 조제분유를 수유할 경우 장내 지방산의 흡수를 개선하였으며 미네랄의 흡수도 효과적이었다.

Assessment of Korean spring waters using a new mineral water index (맛있는 물 지표 개발을 통한 국내 약수 평가)

  • This study was motivated by the purpose of improving the O-Index, currently used to quantify water tasty. The authors first develop the M-Index after normalizing Ca, K, and $SiO_{2}$ concentrations in the spring water, in that the concentrations are subject to their log-normal distributions. The M-Index is then compared with the O-Index based on the results of sensory tests, revealing that sensory tests are correlated with the M-Index much more than the O-Index. Furthermore, the developed index is applied to evaluate water sampled from 53 springs in Korea. It is concluded that water, sampled from five most famous springs, has high values in M-Index. In addition, water, collected from springs that are relatively accessible, contains low values, and thus is expected not to tasty good.

Analysis of Mineral, Amino Acid and Vitamin Content of Pleurotus nebrodensis (백영고버섯의 미네랄, 아미노산, 비타민 함량분석)

  • The nutritional composition of Pleurotus nebrodensis fruiting body has been analyzed for medicinal and edible uses. Minerals of P. nebrodensis were found to be as follows potassium (1,612.96 mg/100 g), phosphorus (644.52 mg/100 g), magnesium (100.32 mg/100 g), sodium (97.84 mg/100 g), calcium (13.8 mg/100 g), iron (4.77 mg/100 g), zinc (4.32 mg/100 g), copper (0.88 mg/100 g) and manganese (0.55 mg/100 g) based on dry weight. Eighteen amino acids were found in P. nebrodensis. Among total amino acid, glutamic acid content was the highest (353 mg/100 g) and aspartic acid, leucine, arginine and alanine were followed. Concerning free amino acids, tryptophan, proline, alanine and isoleucine were dominant. The vitamin E content was the highest (285.31 mg/100 g), then vitamin C, niacin and vitamin $B_6$ were followed.

A Study on the mineral control and salt manufacture technology using higher concentration in the MVR desalination plant (MVR해수담수화플랜트의 고농도 농축수를 활용한 미네랄 제어 및 제염기술 연구)

  • Seawater desalination plants generally have two inherent problems which stem from energy inefficiency and desalination concentrate management. The former has been somewhat resolved thanks to the innovative methods in utilizing new and renewable energy resources whereas the latter still has much issues to be dealt with. This paper introduces the application of a desalting process for the disposal of desalination concentrate (especially, Mg) and to improve its cost effectiveness of a MVR seawater desalination plant built in Jeju. Principal component analysis on the desalination concentrate has revealed a steady reduction of Mg with the application of the desalting process verifying its functional reliability. Also, it was found that our MVR seawater desalination plant is not only energy efficient but also could be effectively applied for the dual purpose of fresh water production and concentrate management.

Electron Microscopy of the Al and $UO_2$ Nanophase Particles Synthesized in Horse Spleen Ferritin (말 비장 Ferritin에서 합성된 Al과 $UO_2$ 나노 입자의 전자현미경 연구)

  • Synthesis of inorganic nanophase particles was performed to verify and understand the binding of non-ferrous metal ions including Al and $UO_2$ to the apoferritin molecules. Reconstituted inorganic particles of Al or $UO_2$ were identified by TEM as discrete electron dense cores encapsulated within the protein shell. The corresponding EDXA spectra confirm the presence of metal ions in the reconstituted ferritin. The Al cores of ferritin has been studied by TEM for the first time. Bimetallic cores with Al/Fe and $UO_2/Al$ were also produced and examined under TEM. Mixed metal cores encapsulated in the protein shell are well formed and its corresponding EDXA spectra also confirm the presence of metal ions in the mineral cores. Therefore, the present study proves that ferritin can be used to synthesize inorganic nanophase particles of Al and $UO_2$.
