Corydalis caudata (Lam.) Pers. (Fumariaceae): An unrecorded species of corydalis in Korea (수염현호색 (현호색과): 국내 미기록 식물)

  • We report an unrecorded species of Corydalis sect. Corydalis (Fumariaceae), C. caudata (Lam.) Pers., that have been found in the central part of Korea. This species is easily recognized by its bearded calyx, upwardly curved spur, and multi-branched characteristics. We named it 'Soo-yeom-hyeon-ho-saek' as korean common name.

  • Two genera with two species of the superfamily Ichneumonoidea, Testudobracon pleuralis Ashmead 1906 and Diadromus subtilicornis Gravenhorst 1829, are reported for the first time from South Korea. Diagnosis, distribution, and illustration are provided.

  • The Genus Cis Latreille known as fungivorous ciids is taxonomically reviewed for the first time from Korea. Six unrecorded species - Cis boleti (Scopoli, 1763); Cis seriatopilosus Motschulsky, 1861; Cis mikagensis Nobuchi & Wada, 1955; Cis jezoensis Nobuchi, 1960; Cis sasajii Kawanabe, 2001; Cis hieroglyphicus Reitter, 1877- are present. All of Cis members are associated with the fruiting body of higher fungi. The author provides the taxonomical information and the ecological information on the host fungi of the Korean Cis species.

  • The genus Psilomma $F{\ddot{o}}rster$, 1856 and a species of the genus, P. dubium Kieffer, 1908 are recorded for the first time from South Korea. The genus Psilomma is also recorded from the Eastern Palaearctic region for the first time. Redescription and photographs of the diagnostic characters of P. dubium are provided.

  • 1. 1959년에서 1960년까지 채집된 " Calliphoridae" 표본을 재정리한 결과 Lucilia (금파리) 한국 미기록 1 종이 있었다. 2. 1961년 7월 21일부터 7월 25일까지 충북 속리산에서 채집된 894개체의 Sarcophaga (쉬파리) 중 2 종이 한국미기록이었다. 3. 이상 한국미기록종은 다음 삼종이다. Sarcophaga hozawai HORI , 1954 S.polystylata HO, 1934 Lucilia papuensis MACQUART, 1842 4. 본 삼종이 추가됨으로 한국산 "Sarcophagidae"는 1속 28종, "Calliphorida" 는 8속 15종이된다. 5. 삼종의 기재는 원기재와 비교할 때 지역적 차로 부분적인 상이점이 있기에 상술했다.할 때 지역적 차로 부분적인 상이점이 있기에 상술했다.

  • The pselaphine beetle, tribe Bythinoplectini is recorded from Korea for the first time, represented by a single species, Parapyxidicerus carinatus Sawada, 1964 previously only known from Japan. Three specimens were collected in northern part of South Korea (Gyeonggi and Gangwon Provinces) by sifting leaf litter near stream. Illustrations of a habitus, diagnostic characteristics of the tribe, genus and species, and distributional map are provided.

  • Wood-rotting fungi of the Aphyllophorales were collected through field trips to mountain areas of the country from January to December of 1997. Through the observation and identification of specimens, two genera, Meruliopsis (type species=M. taxicola) and Pseudomerulius (type species=P. aureus), and four species, Phanerochaete calotricha, Phanerochaete chrysorhiza, Meruliopsis corium, and Pseudomerulius aureus were confirmed as new wood-rotting fungi to Korea and are registered here with descriptions.

The First Record of Knorringia sibirica subsp. sibirica (Polygonaceae) in Korea (한반도 미기록 식물: 시베리아여뀌(마디풀과))

  • We report a taxon of the unrecorded genus Knorringia (Polygonaceae) from Baengryeongdo, Ongin-gun, Incheon-si in the Korean peninsula. This taxon is K. sibirica (Laxm.) Tzvelev subsp. sibirica., has been known from Siberia, Mongolia and China. The new Korean name, 'Si-be-ri-a-yeo-kkwi', was given considering the species epithet and the type locality, Siberia. Description, illustration and photograph showing habitat were given.

  • One nesticid spider, Nesticella mogera (Yaginuma, 1972), collected from a paddy field is reported for the first time from Korea. The species is closely allied to Nesticella brevipes (Yaginuma, 1970), but is characterized by its male paracymbium and female epigynal scape.

  • Two porcellanid crabs collected from Jeju Island, Petrolisthes militaris (Heller, 1862) and P. coccineus (Owen, 1839) are recorded as new to Korean fauna. Hence, the Korean porcellanid crabs consist of nine species of seven genera and the genus Petrolisthes now contains three described species.
