If there are pyramids in Egypt for ancient pharaohs, there are presidential libraries, in other words presidential temples, in America for modern ex-presidents. An American presidential library is a monument-but also a history museum and an archive. These libraries are their unique commemorating way for American ex-presidents. These reflect and explain their presidency with their own point of views through museum exhibitions. However, the history presented in the museums of presidential libraries often lacks balance and critical perspective, and offer public access selectively. The presidential libraries, nothing but American business, made from American heroism and self-confidence tradition. In that point, we have to recognize american commemorating cultures are americans, while benchmarking american system. The importance is balanced views and critical perspectives when we accept advanced other country's systems.

Many studies of Korean immigrants in America reveal that about 70% of them attend a Korean church. Within Korean immigrant churches members exchange information and advice while they maintain their cultural traditions and ethnic norms. Recently some 2nd-generation Koreans have gradually started their own Korean congregations, known as English ministries(EMs) while some of them leave their Korean Christian churches. The future of Korean ethnic society in America depends much on the extent of 2nd-generation Koreans' retention of their ethnic culture.

In 1876, America's first Jewish math professor J. J. Sylvester took a department head position at the first research university in USA at the age of 61. He launched the America's first research journal of mathematics in 1877. We study the role and meaning of J. J. Sylvester, F. Klein and E. H. Moore in late 19th century of American mathematics from Korean's perspective.

The purpose of this paper is to review China's perception on the U.S. power after the global financial crisis. Although economic power of U.S. was declined by the global financial crisis, U.S. hegemony in the international order still maintains. Gap of national power between U.S. and China may be narrow because of decline of U.S. economic power. It can be predicted China will push a policy that secures an initiative of reform in the global monetary system and is going to take a more cooperative policy without U.S. hegemony power harming China's core interests.

미국인쇄산업협회(Printing Industries of America)가 2010~2011년 미국인쇄산업을 전망하는 보고서인 을 공개했다. 이 보고서는 먼저 2007~2009년의 경제 불황에 미국 인쇄산업이 어떻게 대응하였는지에 대한 분석을 통해 거시 경제적 사이클과 인쇄산업의 변화 사이의 상관관계를 설명하고 있다. 또한 향후 2년간의 미국 경제에 대한 전망에 기반하여 인쇄산업이 경험하게 될 미래를 예측하고, 생존을 위한 전략적 팁(tip)도 제시하고 있다. 은 비록 미국 시장에 대한 예측이지만, 한국 인쇄산업에서도 유용하게 활용될 수 있는 의미 있는 시사점들을 제공해주고 있다.

우리나라에서 공과 대학 학생들의 효율적인 교육을 위하여 유사학과의 계열별 통폐합이 추진되고 있는 바, 현 시점에서 미국에서 논란되어지고 있는 전기공학 교육과정의 내표하고 있는 많은 문제점이 미국 뿐만 아니라 한국에서도 공통적인 문제점들임을 감안할 때 미국의 여러 기관, 학교 등에서 연구, 계획, 실행되어가고 있는 교과과정에 대해 그 방향을 정리 검토하여 한국의 전기공학 교육발전에 참고하려 한다. 미국 대학에서 일반적으로 시행되고 있는 교과과정 및 제도는 한국과 거의 유사하다고 볼 수 있다. 그러므로 일상적인 제도에 관한 것을 포함시키지 않고 현재의 공통적인 문제점들을 개선하고자 하는 새롭고 창의 적인 개혁 방안들을 중심으로 정리하였다. 이 글에서는 한국 사회의 현실성이란 변수를 감안하지 않고 미국의 전기공학교육의 방향을 객관적으로 검토하는데 촛점을 두었다.
