The purpose of this study was to develop a structural equation model on the relationships among cultural tendency, social maturity, community spirit and multicultural perception of nursing students. The survey was performed on 395 nursing students in two universities. Data were collected using a structured questionnaires and analyzed with SPSS 22.0 and Amos 22.0 program. Individualism, social maturity and community spirit showed a direct effect on multicultural perception. And community spirit and Social maturity work as complete mediators in the relationship between collectivism and multicultural perception. These variables explained 59.2% of acts towards multicultural perception. The results of this study suggest that development of programs enhancing proper personalities like community spirit for nursing students.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of father's value of children and cultural orientation on the father's parenting involvement. Data were collected from 286 fathers on FPI, VOC, and COR, which then were analyzed using correlation and multiple regression. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, emotional value of children was positively related to the father's parenting involvement, but instrumental value of children was negatively related to the father's parenting involvement. Second, collectivism had a stronger relationships with the father's parenting involvement than individualism. Third, father's education level was positively related to the father's parenting involvement. The above findings imply that father's value of children is an important variables of parenting involvement and cultural orientation is also a good predictor of parenting involvement.

This study has expanded the existing studies on the characteristics of consumers using the personal level of cultural dimensions and self-construal. As Korean are becoming more individualistic and independent, we have focused on consumer independence in self-construal. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of consumer independence on consumers' attitudes and purchase intention toward consensus claim in ads. We hypothesized that individuals with higher in independence are more likely to show negative attitudes and the purchase intention towards the ads focused on consensus claim. Two experiments revealed that consumers higher in independence, depicting consensus claim in ads reduces consumers' attitudes and purchase intention. Based on the results, we suggest that for individuals higher in independence, consensus claims in product advertisement are less effective advertising strategy which ultimately lower consumers' purchase intentions. Important theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

현재 일상생활에서 성격유형검사 도구 MBTI를 이용하는 사람들이 점점 늘어나고 있다. MBTI는 에너지 방향, 인식 기능, 판단 기능, 생활 양식을 기준으로 결과를 도출하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 MBTI 요소중 에너지 방향인 외향형(E)과 내향형(I)의 게임 성향에 대한 설문 조사 및 분석을 진행하여, 그 결과를 바탕으로 외향적 성향을 가진 사람들과 내향적 성향을 가진 사람들에 대한 게임 기획 또는 마케팅의 방향성을 제시한다.

본 연구는 개인주의-집단주의 문화 개념을 도입하여, 타인의 의견이나 집단규범이 내포된 합의정보와 제품의 속성이 나타난 속성정보가 불일치한 상황에 접했을 때 개인의 문화지향성에 따라 정보의 수용과정에 차이가 있는지를 탐구하였다. 본 연구는 접근성-진단성 프레임웍에 근거하여 정보의 수용과정 모델을 개발하고 이를 중국 및 한국의 개별소비자차원에서 검증하였다. 본 연구의 실증분석 결과, 소비자의 개인주의-집단주의 성향에 따라 불일치 정보의 수용과정이 다르게 나타났다. 집단주의 성향의 소비자들은 합의정보의 합의성 지각수준을 높게 지각할수록 합의정보의 집단자아 접근성과 집단동조 진단성 수준이 증가하여 집단의견수용의도가 높아지는 것으로 밝혀졌으며, 속성정보의 속성성 지각수준을 높게 지각할수록 속성정보의 개인자아 접근성과 개인화가치 진단성이 증가하여 개인의견반영의도가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 개인주의성향의 소비자들은 속성정보의 속성성 수준을 높게 지각할수록 개인화가치 진단성 수준이 높아져 개인의견반영의도가 높아지며, 합의정보의 합의성 수준을 높게 지각할수록 집단자아 접근성 수준이 높아져 집단의견수용의도가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다.

The relative effects of individual differences in cultural orientation (individualism vs. collectivism) and locus of control (LOC: internal vs. external control beliefs) combination types on global/local processing were compared by manipulating the compound stimulus types (arrows or letters), and the stimulus-stimulus congruence. The results can be summarized as followings. First, consistent with previous research on global/local processing of the compound stimuli, reaction time (RT) for global stimuli than for local stimuli, and that in the stimulus-stimulus congruent condition than in the stimulus-stimulus incongruent condition was faster. Second, faster RT was found in the compound arrows condition than in the compound letters. Third, individual difference in LOC, rather than that in the cultural orientations, appeared to be related to global precedence effect, when the compound letters were presented. These results indicated that the individual's LOC rather than cultural orientation can increase the size of the global precedence effect, which might be involved in the stage of cognitive analysis than that of feature detection.

This study examined the fitness of a structural model on the relationship among biological risk disposition, sociocultural risk factors, self-control, social support, and suicidal ideation for woman adolescents. Data were collected from December 3, 2012 to March 28, 2013 by questionnaires from 343 middle and high school students in the D metropolitan city. The data was analyzed by the SPSS and AMOS programs. Biological risk disposition, sociocultural risk factors, self-control, and social support showed a direct effect on suicidal ideation for woman adolescents, while biological risk disposition and sociocultural risk factors showed an indirect effect on suicidal ideation for woman adolescents. Biological risk disposition and sociocultural risk factors showed a direct effect on self-control and social support for woman adolescents. Based on the outcomes of this study, it is necessary to design an intervention program that emphasizes the reducement of biological risk disposition, sociocultural risk factors and enhancement self-control and social support in order to prevention woman adolescents' suicidal ideation.

This study explores and examines the impacts of the cultural characters on the brand attitude of Chinese regional consumers. This study used the 1,500 sample sized data collected from three major cities: Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. We investigate that power distance, individualism/collectivism, uncertainty avoidance and long-orientation are statistically different across cities. The empirical studies show that individualism/collectivism and uncertainty avoidance have significant impacts on the brand attitude of Chinese regional consumers. We tested that the relationship between the brand power and the brand attitude is moderated by individualism/collectivism, the results indicate that the effect of the brand power on the brand attitude is moderated by uncertainty avoidance. These results imply that Chinese consumers' culture character of individualism/collectivism and uncertainty avoidance moderate their brand attitude. Based on this results, We suggested some implications for further market segmentation strategy, brand marketing strategy, and Chinese regional consumer culture research.
