  • To analyze the consumer's purchase pattern, we must consider a factor which is a cultural, social, individual, psychological and so on. If we consider the internal state by the consumer's purchase, Both the consumer's purchase action and the purchase factor can be predicted, so the corporation can use effectively in suitable goods development in a consumer's preference. These factors need a technology that treat uncertain information, because it is difficult to analyze by directly information processing. Therefore, bayesian network manages elements those the observation of inner state such as consumer's purchase is difficult. In addition, it is interpretable about data that the observation is impossible. In this paper, we examine the seller's know-how and the way of consumer's purchase to analyze consumer's purchase action pattern through goods purchase. Also, we compose the bayesian network based on the examined data, and propose the method that predicts purchase patterns. Finally, we remove the data including unnecessary attribute using the bayesian network, and analyze the consumer's Purchase pattern using Kohonen's SOM method.

  • This study is about the strife patterns in modern fashion and the characteristics inherent in them. The study was aimed at offering the basic materials to develop the creative design that can show various visual expression effects. In terms of method, the study was led by the analysis of documents; domestic and foreign fashion, collection magazines etc were used to analyze the strife patterns in modern fashion. According to the findings, the study used the rearrangement of the strife patterns at the same intervals, the arrangement of different strife patterns within one single item, the hybrid arrangement of strife patterns and different patterns, and the use of strife patterns for a certain part of clothing for the purse of emphasis or decoration. First, the characteristics inherent in such strife patterns showed clear simplicity using the same repetition of simple lines or the two colors of black and white. Second, strife patterns changed silhouettes by causing optical illusion, and showed the rhythm effects, such as swelling, wave or movement by distorting and controlling lines or forms. Third, based on irregular intervals or multi-strife, the concept of unclear disharmony and inconsistency was shown with the beauty of hybridharmony by blending various strife patterns with each other, or strife patterns with different patterns, and thus expressing composite images.

  • The aim of this study was to develop a pattern of flight attendant uniform shirts to provide better comfort for their work postures. Flight attendants' work postures were evaluated to determine the problems of clothing and mobility during their work. The pattern of the flight attendants' uniform shirt was altered by applying dynamic wearing ease(DWE). DWE was calculated from four standardized dynamic postures and a static posture. An experimental garment was made with the altered postures. The researcher redesigned the pattern of the uniform shirts, which minimizes physical limitations in movements. The fit and mobility of the shirts were evaluated. Results of this study are as follows. First, the five representative work postures were selected by "clothing stress" and "repetitiveness." These postures included raised arms, twisting midriff and shoulder postures. Five representative postures were selected by using the ergonomic posture assessment device index(OWAS). Second, the experimental garment was developed by applying DWE across the back and at armhole depth, back length, and side length. Third, the fit and mobility of the experimental garments and the original uniform shirts were compared at the flight working environment set and 5 dynamic body postures of raising arms. The experimental garments made with an altered pattern provided better fit and mobility than the original sample shirts.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a shirt pattern that enhances the functionality of golf swing motions. The pattern was made with 3D body surface shape data that changed according to dynamic golf postures. The data were collected from the golf swing motions. The 3D body surface data in golf swing postures piled up on the 3D surface data in a static posture. The results showed that the surface shape data changed more in the address, back swing, and finish postures than the other swing postures. The experimental pattern was developed with 3D surface scan data in those three golf swing motions. The pattern had raglan sleeves and the front-bodied piece was divided into two pieces with a princess line, which comes from armscye line of the address posture. The back bodice piece was divided into three pieces with a yoke line and a back princess line. The yoke line was made by back shoulder shape in the back swing posture. The level of comfort of the experimental garment and commercial golf shirts was evaluated by 38 women golfers. The experimental garment pattern was evaluated to be more comfortable in golf swing postures than commercial golf shirts.

  • This study examines the textile pattern design of Italian fashion brands and their brand extensions by comparing their images. Five Italian fashion brands are chosen and the textile pattern design of their brand extensions, which were presented during the eight collection. Then their design style is compared with the design style of their main brands. The five main brands and their brand extensions are as fellows: Anna Molinari-Blumarine, Dolce & Gabbana-D&G, Girogio Armani-Emporio Armani, Gian Franco Ferre'-GFF, and Prada-MiuMiu. Their color, motive type, motive layout, motive expression, and pattern drawing technique are examined and compared. Results suggest that most brand extensions generally use color, motive type motive layout. and motive expression similar to their main brands. In particular, their pattern drawing technique is a painting style white their main brands use a graphic style. This result suggests that to create and develop new brand extensions, Italian fashion (main brand) firms in general employ color, motive type, motive layout, and motive expression technique similar to main brands, but different drawing technique to differentiate from their main brands. The results of this study suggest that textile pattern design plays an important role in developing new brand extensions and thus should be considered as a crucial part of the product.
