Themes of self-esteem memories in female adults: Achievement or relationship (성인여성의 자기존중기억 주제에 관한 연구: 성취 혹은 관계)

  • This study investigated the themes of self-esteem memories in female adults. Self-esteem memories mean memories that are focused on evaluations of the self and the themes of them are classified as achievement or social relationship. Eighteen young adults(M=21.56), fifteen middle aged adults(M=54.13), and twenty older adults(M=74.35), totally fifty three female adults participated. They recalled 4 positive and 4 negative self-esteem memories respectively. The results showed that memories of positive and negative self-worth frequently focused on relationship themes, and this tendency was significant in positive memory of young adults and negative memory of middle aged adults. This suggests that social relationship is a dominant cultural value in Korea. Links between interpersonal relationship and positive/negative self-esteem memories are explained by culture, gender and developmental tasks. Further researches about the differences by sex and life scripts in the content of self-esteem memories are needed.

  • The origin of texts we refer to as literary or artistic may be imagination, but many are based on experiences. In fact, experiences can be the source of artistic imagination since imagination often builds upon experiences. Therefore, the act of verbalizing human experiences using them as raw material can become a great form of art. Transforming past experiences into stories and infusing them with vitality inevitably requires a creative process of reconstruction, which is essentially a literary process. As such, 'Personal Narrative' holds significance as a literary process that weaves facts into stories and shapes them into forms. Individual experiences are stored as personal memories, and these 'personal memories' continuously generate stories. Collections of individual stories are stored as multiple memories, which gradually form 'collective memories' with distinct social and cultural inclinations through the passage of time and invisible yet potent societal and cultural censorship. The problem lies in the fact that individuals may tend to align their own memories with the inclinations of collective memory rather than simply recalling what they personally experienced. In the context of actual history, personal memories and collective memories communicate with each other, producing non-fictional content close to reality and sometimes manifesting as fiction content enriched with imagination. 'Personal Narrative' holds a significant genre as one genre of non-fiction content within our culture.

The Transfer Effect of Media Image Meaning presented Graduate Reflex (졸업영상에 나타난 영상의미 전달 효과)

  • The application of reflex media in education has been widely used in the aspects of teaching & learning method, humanitarian education and the culture of school lives. It has been resulted from the generality of the applicable scope within conveying the information, propagation velocity, and the efficiency of the amount of conveyable information through the reflex. To utilize this kind of efficiency of reflex media in producing new graduation culture, I intend to show students the graduate reflex including their 3years' school lives and try to find out its effect from them. And then with this result I have studied the changes of the students' behavior in the graduation ceremony. As a result It is shown that the intent of graduation reflex which aims to look back into their past and keep in mind it has been reflected to students. In addition it is prove ascertain their friendship and love for their school have been lifted while watching the reflex with transferring the media image message.

Nail Art Convergence Designs Using Kidult Characteristics (키덜트 유형별 특징을 활용한 네일아트 융합 디자인)

  • This study categorized the kidult culture into three: cutiesm kidult, fantasm kidult and memorism kidult and analysed each type of kidult culture for the design. To obtain data on characteristics of kidult and gel nail art techniques, the study searched for theses, technical books and Internet data and developed unique and creative convergence nail art designs based on the results. As a result, it was discovered that cutiesm kidult is characterized by cuteness, brightness and use of characters, fantasm kidult is characterized by value of imagination and fantasy, and memorism kidult is characterized by memories of the past and use of characters. Then using the characteristics of kidult according to types, this study made 6 nail art designs through which creative and unique characteristics of the kidult culture were expressed in nail art design.

  • Big data research plays a role of supplementing existing social science research methods. If the survey and experimental methods are somewhat inaccurate because they mainly rely on recall memories, big data are more accurate because they are real-time records. Social science research so far, which mainly conducts sample research for reasons such as time and cost, but big data research analyzes almost total data. However, it is not easy to repeat and reproduce social research because the social atmosphere can change and the subjects of research are not the same. While social science research has a strong triangular structure of 'theory-method-data', big data analysis shows a weak theory, which is a serious problem. Because, without the theory as a scientific explanation logic, even if the research results are obtained, they cannot be properly interpreted or fully utilized. Therefore, in order for big data research to become a methodological innovation, I proposed big thinking along with researchers' efforts to create new theories(black boxes).

  • Jeongeup Pungnyu, which can be regarded as a foundation of Hyangje Julpungryu(;string ensemble in Honam Area) best reflects social-spatial characteristics of local Pungryu culture. The close relationship between Daepungryu(wind ensemble) and Julpungryu can be inferred from three points of view. First, Jeongeumun who participated as a musician in the beginning of Hyangje Julpungryu was good at not only performing musical instrument but also dancing. Jeongeumun did not stay in specific musical field. He performed Hyangje Julpungryu, made Daepungryu and used it as dancing music with musicians that participated in Julpungryu. That is why Julpungryu and Daepungryu are not completely separated music. Secondly, according to , Jung Hyungin, who followed the dance of Jeong Jae-Sun with Kim So-Ran, was the first Piri player who learned from Jeongeumun and played Yeongsanhoesang and Samhyeon-yukkak(;wind ensemble). That is, Jeongeup Julpungryu was formed by Jeongeumun and dancer Jung Hyung-in followed Julpungryu and Daepungryu. Based on these findings, it can be inferred that Jeongeup's Daepungryu is fundamentally closely related to Jungeup Julpungryu.

User's Emotional Experience Through the Retro Content Trend: A Case Study on the Answer me 1994 (Retro(복고) 콘텐츠 트렌드(Trend)를 통해 살펴본 사용자의 감성적 경험연구: <응답하라 1994>를 중심으로)

  • Recently, the retro content emerges one of the highest topics in the cultural content area. This retro content has been exponentially expanded through the series of and the success of the series highlights the importance of content that can cause user's emotional experience. Along the line, this research tries to know how the retro contents draw user's emotional experience beyond the role of just user's recall for the past through the Answer me 1994 syndrome. As the result of factorial analysis for the user's emotional experience, five factories were classified: the emotional experiences by music, item, sensory, story and actors exposed in the drama. Also, the five emotional experience factories influence the relations between the viewers and retro content. Specifically, the factories for the emotional experiences are statistically significant to the viewer's satisfaction. They significantly influence the viewer's trust and attachment for the retro content as well. The influence for the emotional experience factors which affect to viewer's satisfaction are music, item, sensory, story, and actors in order. The influence on the trust about the retro content are music, sensory, story, item in order. On the other hand, the emotional experience by actors are not significantly affect to the trust for the retro content. Lastly, The influence for the attachment about the retro content are music, item, actors, sensory, and story in order.

  • In order to satisfy customers' desire that is becoming more diverse, and to create the unique character of a product in the fast changing social structure and living environment, today's designers have to make efforts to provide new ideas continuously. In the twentieth century, the development of design in various aspects could be possible through an epoch-making progress of technology and industrialization, and thus the meaning and style of design has changed differently according to the current of the times. The retro design, which borrows the designs and styles which were popular in the past and recreates the design of modern meaning and concept, is widely applied now and in the spotlight as a latest design trend. This phenomenon of revival style appears as an image that makes us recollect the past in various fields while being recognized as an another value of new sense. Considered from the history of style changes for the past 100 years, the automobile design, the most representative in product design fields, has gradually changed in its types according to continuous historical, social, and cultural changes and technological progress, while a variety of designs have been continuously presented. The recent current of automobile styles, according to the rapid progress of advanced scientific technology, shows the fast and various changes and the retro style is becoming a new trend arousing people's interests and reintroducing the past designs. The revival trend in automobile designs is expected to stimulate human sensitivity and restore humanity on a different level before the trend, and also expected to be recreated as a new design trend in modern sense, connecting us with the past culture and expanding the realms of future designs.

  • As the speed of social change consumers' buying patterns change, with an effective and competitive means of communication is an effort to find ads world. Characters have to maximize its own image, the character font used for the situation fits perfectly expressed in the formative Calligraphy differentiated pay plan as part of Calligraphy is considered. People feel in the hand by writing letters that can not be standardized as a strong symbol and symbolism, and the appeal and beauty, dynamic motion, mystery, and can be expressed. Design disciplines across all areas of Calligraphy extensive coverage, digital coolness of the hard preparation for the soft and warm lyricism analogue availability is required to meet contemporary needs. Media ads that emphasize the use of the Calligraphy emotional representation of the contents of the ads favorable to improve cognitive function, attention, recall of positive affect and, therefore, character-driven emotional expression as an art communications capabilities with one of the media is situated in the heart of the culture.
