The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of reading on self-efficacy and multicultural acceptance. The Korean Education and Employment Pannel II data were used for the analysis. Through analyzing the data with latent growth model, the growth trajectories for reading, self-efficacy, and multicultural acceptance were identified, and the relationship between three variances were analyzed using multi-variate latent growth model. As results, reading books, self-efficacy, and multicultural acceptance were decreased, as times go by. Next, the intercept of reading was postively related with self-efficacy and multicultural acceptance. Finally, self-efficacy mediated between the intercept of reading and the multicultural acceptance, and it's statistically significant.

This research had investigated the teaching practice in the mathematics classrooms with immigrant students to describe how effectively mathematics teachers create inclusive learning environment of mathematics. The analysis of the data from the elementary schools suggests that teaching practice in the class was consistent to the criteria for 'contextualization of students' lived experience' and 'mathematical conversation'. However, while the quantitative results suggested that the teachers showed high expectation to their students in their teaching, the qualitative analysis revealed the teacher's beliefs and attitudes against providing equitable educational opportunity for every student. In the middle school classrooms, it was found that the teaching practices were not compatible to the goals of multicultural mathematics education. The analysis of the survey data regarding teachers' multicultural competence suggests that the teachers possessed rather advan]ced understanding of multicultural mathematics education but they need materials and pedagogy for classroom teaching from multicultural perspectives.

Public libraries provide information and cultural programs based on various collections as an information and culture hub in local communities. This study analyzed the cases of cultural programs of public libraries in the United States on "Programing Librarian," a website operated by the American Library Association to identify the trend of library programs. As a result of the analysis, the traditional program types such as hobbies, culture, and reading are major program types, but the new types as society and life are also appearing. New types of program activities such as social activities and experiences are also identified. In addition, it was analyzed that the tendency to effectively operate cultural programs with minimal cost is also occurring in the United States. As a marketing channel, Facebook was the most preferred method of promoting cultural programs.

Culture technology is contributing to the creation of new values through convergence with other industries. The government is also actively investing in R&D in this field to secure competitiveness. In this study, the R&D efficiency of culture technology is analyzed by characteristics. Data envelopment analysis and non-parametric tests are performed on 968 national research projects in 2016-2019. As a result, it is confirmed that there are a difference in R&D efficiency according to the characteristics of national research projects in culture technology sector. This suggests that when planning national research projects for culture technology, these characteristics should be taken into consideration and strategically promoted.

The aim of this study was to analyze the cultural contents represented in elementary school English textbooks for grades 3 and 4 based on the 2015 revised Korean national curriculum. An analysis of cultural contents was conducted on the basis of Morgan(2001)'s five category criteria. Among the five aspects of culture, 'practices' relevant to daily life were presented most frequently in the textbooks followed by 'products'. English textbooks showed a relatively low frequency in 'perspectives' and 'communities' areas of culture. 'Persons' did not appear at all in all eight textbooks. It revealed that there was a serious imbalance in the representation of textbook about cultural contents. In conclusion, there should be balanced cultural contents for the students to have a balanced cultural awareness and to accept cultural diversity and differences. In addition, textbooks should include more various cultural materials and activities for the students to develop four key competencies suggested on the 2015 revised Korean national curriculum.

Despite the great significance we attach on culture, only a handful of researches focus on the characteristics and practices of cultural journalism. This study has aimed to unravel the changes in the trajectory of cultural journalism of Korean major newspapers, through content analysis and qualitative interpretation of the cultural contents they report. The results show that the number of cultual items have decreased compared to that of 10 years ago, although the entire number of pages has meanwhile increased. News items focused on 'products(advertisement)' and 'life(style)' have increased, whereas those on 'knowledge refined' and 'leisure entertainment' have decreased. 'Critique review commentary', 'academics' and 'performance exhibition art music' items turn out to have decreased significantly; soft contents such as mass culture, tourism, fashion and beauty, on the other hand, have increased considerably. Moreover, the demographic characteristics of news contributors remain almost the same, except that the proportion of ordinary readers/audience has slightly increased. Similarly, although there were no difference regarding the sources of direct quotation, the frequency of quotes from ordinary readers has increased. Consequently, these results imply how the cultural journalism of Korean newspapers are limited in encompassing diverse types of content, differentiating constitution, and presenting critical viewpoints.

The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between the emotional leadership of directors and the organization culture and to examine differences in the level of emotional leadership of directors. The research results were as follows: Firstly, the relationship between emotional leadership of directors and organization culture showed a positive correlation between all sub-factors. Secondly, multiple regression analyses identified the emotional leadership's sub-factors were significant predictors of the organization culture. Thirdly, organization culture significantly differed according to the emotional leadership level. In summary, this research confirmed that there was a correlation between the emotional leadership of directors and organization culture.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of organizational culture to the activities satisfaction of volunteer firefighter. For that, we surveyed 182 volunteer firefighters worked in Sejong city. The survey was analyzed the reliability in questionnaire design by SPSS 20.0 win program. The interrelationship of each factors were confirmed by analysis of frequency, percentage and regression analysis. The regression analysis was performed in order to investigate effects of group, development, hierachy, and rationality culture based organizational culture on activities satisfaction of volunteer firefighter. A factor of group and development culture in organizational culture was found to be a positive influence on the activities satisfaction of the volunteer firefighter under significance probability of < 0.05. The bigger group and development culture the volunteer fire department, the higher the activities satisfaction of the volunteer firefighter. This paper is expected to serve as a basis for the efficient operation of the volunteer fire department in Korea.
