The National Assembly Library and its institutions need an integrated exhibition and education programs in order to provide all types of information resources which they produce, manage and preserve as part of history and evidence of democracy. This study aims to present the exhibition and education programs for National Assembly Library based on Larchiveum model. an integrated concept of library, archive, and museum. This study analyzed exhibits and education programs of various national libraries, archives, and related institutions and suggested exhibition and education programs for National Assembly Library based on Larchiveum model.

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting job burnout by analyzing the job burnout patterns and levels in teacher librarians and to empirically investigate the relationship among the effective factors. For qualitative research 17 teacher librarians were intentionally chosen and in-depth interview was conducted from September 5, 2018 to October 30, 2018. The in-depth interview shows that the factors affecting the job burnout of teacher librarians are the sense of belonging, professional identity, professional development opportunities, reputation of teacher librarians, social support and job engagement which defined as librarians' job specificity. For the reliability and validity of the measurement tools, six teacher librarians were primarily investigated from December 5, 2018 to December 7. After that a survey was carried out through the web questionnaire for two weeks from December 20, 2018 to January 3, 2019. A total of 305 copies were collected, all of which were used for the analysis. The results of the quantitative study are summarized as follows. First, concerning the job specificity of teacher librarians, the factors affecting job burnout were professional identity, reputation of teacher librarians, and social support. Second, concerning the job specificity of teacher librarians, the factors affecting job engagement were sense of belonging, professional identity, and social support. Third, as a result of verifying the mediating effect of job engagement in relation to job specificity and job burnout of teacher librarians, professional identity showed complete mediating effect and social support showed partial mediation effect.

The present study, on the bass of a premise that reference lists are one of the social products, reflecting various social environments of their own society, was made as part of an attempt to explore the co-occurrence phenomenon of both Korean and Non-Korean Literatures occurred within the Korean references. 321 authors (articles) of 43 Korean journals on Social Sciences were surveyed on research channels and citation motivations and their 11358 references were analyzed. The findings are as follows : 1) The extent of the co-occurrence was that Non-Korean literatures were more 1.9 times (65.3%) cited than Korean ones and English (61.5%)-American (50.4%) predominancy was heavily found. 2) Research channel, worked as an indicator of the identity of researcher as well as the source of research ideas was most Non-Korean channel orientedness (55.8%). 3) Citation motivations were significantly depended on whether Korean or Non-Korean literatures and non-Korean literatures were cheifly cited to be conceptual motivations than other motivations. 4) Research channel among variables was worked as a main effect predicting major citation motivations on Non-Korean literatures. Finally, this study is very suggestive : 1) It might be a new approach and interpretation by adopting citation motivations to explore a process of knowledge producting of researchers 2) Partly, it proved empirically the relationship of knowledge producted by Korean researchers to Non-Korean knowledge through the analysis of citation motivations.

The study aims at identifying professional competencies of collection development librarians in academic libraries. For this, the study collected data through qualitative interviews with 8 librarians who are in charge of collection development programs in four-year university libraries. As a result, the professional competency components emerging from interviews were divided into three parts; knowledge in library and information science, knowledge in subject field, and professionalism. Detailed components of three parts of professional competency were divided into 13 sub-categories, with 37 meanings. It is expected that the study as an exploratory research may provide further research to design educational and training programs for collection development librarians with basic data.

The purpose of this study is to derive the operation strategies for establishing the mid-to-long-term comprehensive library development plans considering the identity and specificity of Anyang City. For this purpose, this study proceeded as follows. First, to understand the internal and external environment and regional characteristics of Anyang City, various literature and statistical data related to Anyang City were collected, analyzed, and organized. Second, the operation status of Anyang municipal libraries was analyzed with data such as 「National Library Statistics System」, 「Gyeonggido Public Library Yearbook」, and various library-related laws. Third, a survey with open-ended questions was conducted for twenty-six librarians working in Anyang municipal libraries to collect opinions on the identity of Anyang and the overall operations of the libraries. Lastly, by reflecting the current status analysis, the latest library trends, policies, and sociocultural environments, detailed operation strategies that can serve as a basis for establishing mid-to long term development plans for Anyang municipal libraries in the future were proposed. The above operating strategies were proposed by dividing into six areas such as (1) the plans for organizational system and manpower composition, (2) the facility plans for balanced regional development, (3) the collection development and preservation direction, (4) the special subject materials service plans, (5) the for establishing cooperation system, and (6) the public relations plans.

The main objective of this study is to explore the forward-looking role of a National Hangeul Museum Library that can actively respond to changes in the era and to propose development strategies for this purpose. To achieve this, the current functions, resources, materials, online and offline services, and the library's website were thoroughly analyzed. We conducted research on the operational status and best practices of libraries within museums, art galleries, and advanced libraries both domestically and internationally. Ultimately, we aimed to establish medium to long-term development strategies for the Korean library and derive step-by-step detailed implementation plans. The results of this study can serve as foundational data to help the National Hangeul Museum Library effectively fulfill its central role as a library related to the Korean language and culture.

The purpose of this study was to establish the concept of theme collection in the library, to clarify the reality of the theme collection operation. This study was to set up methodology for constructing and operating the theme collection in the future and to provide implications for future development. For this purpose, this study conducted in-depth interviews with a total of 12 directors and librarians from four public libraries. The results of the analysis revealed that the theme collection can be built and function properly with a solid understanding of its collection, users and community, and sharing its services goals and orientations. In addition, it was found that the task of constructing a theme collection contributes to the establishment of the identity of the librarian, and it is interrelated with the various library works. Finally, a comprehensive model of current theme collections was discussed.

The National Library of Korea (Sejong), which was launched in December 2013, has been in the spotlight as a specialized library for Korean policy information and as a Sejong city complex cultural facility. Nevertheless, the essential identity, organizational status, division of affairs and core competencies, policy information collection, and services of the NLK (Sejong) are weak and inadequate. Therefore, this study developed a job model for establishing an essential identity and providing high-quality policy information services nationwide and suggested a strategic organizational reorganization plan. The job model was proposed as a total of 110 by adding 38 to the existing 72. Based on this job model, the short-term reorganization model (2023-2024) changed the grade of the library director from the current grade 4 (administrative officer) to Senior Executive, and the grade of the director by division from grade 5 (secretary) to grade 4. The sub-organization has expanded the current 3 divisions (planning management, policy information, and service use) to 4 divisions (planning administration, library collection and development, policy information service, and public service and culture, with a total of 51 personnel. In the mid-to-long-term model (2025-2032), the sub-organization was expanded to 4 divisions and 1 office (planning administration, library collection and development, policy information service, public service and culture, and policy information research), and presented a total of 61 personnel. To this end, it is necessary to persuade stakeholders with the argument of advocating the Korean policy information center, which is a macro-strategic goal, and focus all capabilities on strategic reorganization and revision of 「Decree on the Organization of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism」.

Photographic archives of universities are one of the most valuable types of records that establish the university's identity and provide historical evidence. Unlike text records, however, they are weak in conveying meanings. Therefore, it is difficult to support users' search and utilization unless the information of photo records is comprehensively described. In this study, for the university photo archives, we tried to structure the classification system of photo archives and develop a metadata set that reflects the category characteristics in the classification. To this end, the photo archives classification system and metadata elements of domestic and American university archives were analyzed and based on this, the model of information structure was proposed. The information structure model presented in this study can help university archives improve the data quality of their photo archives and support users with the abundant discovery of photo archives.

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the "memory approach" has affected archival methodology and activities, and suggest the directions of archival activities in each field. Although there have been many discussions on the memories and collective memories in Archival Studies, it is necessary to analyze them more practically from the viewpoint of archival activism. In this study, the memory approaches in archival discourse are classified into four categories in terms of archival activism; i) the role of archives as social memory organizations, ii) the memory struggle for finding out the truth of the past, iii) archival activities of restorative justice for people who suffer from trauma memories after social disasters and human rights violations, and iv) the memory process of communities' archiving for strengthening community identities. The meaning and issues are analyzed for each category, and the practice based on archival expertise and political and social practices are examined together as necessary competencies for archival activism.
